RACE TWO

After a smart first-up effort where he made closing play after looking gone and only beaten a head, DREAMEE (5) franked the effort when claiming victory under mobile conditions last time out. Firing out from gate 7, he was sent to the front and once in control cruised home for an effortless victory. This is the next step, but he looks ready to take it.

SUGARINSPICE (8) was 2nd up in Qld last time out when making an error as the tapes were released and settled a long way back in the field from the 20m impost. Taking them all the way the start prior when stepping to the lead from the front tape, she can look for redemption here.

PUMA ROAD (7) made a costly error last start that ended his chances and ha followed a tough trip where he was asked to work hard in the breeze. Grabbed late 3 runs back, he will be thereabouts.

MAJESTIC SPEED (2) has been super consistent of late and added another minor placing here on Friday when finishing hard to be 2m from the winner. This is tougher company, but the front tape helps.

SELECTIONS: DREAMEE (5), SUGARINSPICE (8), PUMA ROAD (7), MAJESTIC SPEED (2)
SUGGESTED BET: DREAMEE (5) to win

RACE THREE

KEAYANG MARVEN (1)
did not have much go his way here 3 starts back from gate 7 and was running up behind them. He then came out and was too smart in scoring at the mile when finishing over the top of them. Trying to launch a closing raid when 3rd to MAJOR FERNCO on Friday, he holds the keys to this contest.

KASHED UP (2) will get first option to dart in behind the leader or to fire off the arm with just the front line to do battle here. Buried in the run last start when returning from a freshen, he chased gamely for 2nd behind the smart CAPTAIN CRUSADER. From this alley he will be hard to stop.

TWENTYEIGHTBLACK (6) returned from a spell here last week when retreating from a wide gate int eh early stages. Making a sustained run over the closing stages, he was sectionally strong to the line. The gate stings, but he can chime into the money.

SOHO SINATRA (5) was sent forward from this gate over the 2138m last start and asked to do it the tough way when sitting parked. The trip took a toll as he just faded late. Only 5m from VIRGIL the start prior, he has place claims.

SELECTIONS: KEAYANG MARVEN (1), KASHED UP (2), TWENTYEIGHTBLACK (6), SOHO SINATRA (5)
SUGGESTED BET: KEAYANG MARVEN (1) to win

RACE FOUR

After looking to be in a spot of bother last start from this gate when he was shuffled to 4 back, GENERAL MONTANA (8) found the space to work into the open before setting after the leader. In for the fight, he chased hard and was able to prevail for a half-neck victory. That had followed some nice efforts that had not produced a return. With the 2nd line options he should be too classy.

A WHOLE LOTTA ROSIE (5) broke through for her first AP victory here last week when easing from gate 4 to secure position in the early stages. Powering home over the top of them in the stretch, it was a smart win. Gunned down here 3 starts back when a head from the winner, she can throw it down again here.

PRINCE JOY (6) has the wide gate to negotiate yet he has been in nice touch of late, hitting the board his past 5 in succession. Hitting the line strongly to grab the silver here last week, he can be making a late play once again.

LANCELOT BROMAC (7) just keeps on keeping on. Easing from the wide gate last start he was threading a passage between runners to land the bronze and claim his 150th podium finish. He will be closing out again.

SELECTIONS: GENERAL MONTANA (8), A WHOLE LOTTA ROSIE (5), PRINCE JOY (6), LANCELOT BROMAC (7)
SUGGESTED BET: GENERAL MONTANA (8) to win

RACE FIVE

COULDNTMISAFALCON (3) made an error last start from the 2nd line that put her out of play when down the line. From the pocket trail the start prior, she just needed a little more momentum when finishing 6m from the swooping winner. Runner-up to the flying MAJORCA here 3 back, she looks to have found a winnable race.

FAIRIESDELIGHT (1) has found things difficult to recapture winning form and was sent for a break after wilting in front 3 starts back. Returning when 8m from the winner NO DOUBT, her effort last start behind A WHOLE LOTTA ROSIE was sound in finishing midfield. She lands all the options to challenge.

COPPICE (5) was resuming from a spell last time out when sent forward to sit parked over the mile. Fighting hard when 8m from the winner and holding 3rd, he will be fitter for the run and is a podium hope once again.

MOLLIESMARYELLE (2) was sent forward from gate 5 last start and asked to do it the tough way when sitting parked and finishing 8m from the winner. Making some nice metres the start prior behind SNUGGLES BANYULA, she is in the mix.

SELECTIONS: COULDNTMISAFALCON (3), FAIRIESDELIGHT (1), COPPICE (5), MOLLIESMARYELLE (2)
SUGGESTED BET: COULDNTMISAFALCON (3) to win

RACE SIX

CUZIN LYNDAL (4)
was having her first start in Qld here 3 runs back when required to work hard in the run when sitting parked. It was a gritty effort when runner-up to LADY AVANA before fading after leading when 2nd up. Holding silver behind HAPPY PUBLICANS last start, she finds a winnable race here.

NIFTY JOLT (2) is making his Qld debut for Steve Cini and arrives in the Sunshine State a seven-time winner. A gritty winner at Wagga 2 starts back when required to work hard in the run, his lust run in the Riverina was back on July 30. From the gate he can make a first up challenge.

HECTOR (7) is a 3YO colt joining the Ben Battle stable that arrives a last start winner in Auckland. That was back in June, and he tackles this from the tough gate without a public trial.

REGINA ELENA (1) will take some benefit from her return last start at Redcliffe when stepping out for the first time as a 3YO. A two-time Redcliffe winner last season, she can get a cosy trip.

SELECTIONS: CUZIN LYNDAL (4), NIFTY JOLT (2), HECTOR (7), REGINA ELENA (1)
SUGGESTED BET: CUZIN LYNDAL (4) to win

RACE SEVEN

SABRAGE (5)
fired out from gate 3 last time to take control over the mile and was able to get home a strong closing 800m to hold on for a narrow victory. Runner-up in 3 of his prior 4 attempts, he was forced to do it the hard way 2 back when outside the leader. With early hustle he can look for a back-to-back victory.

SOME EXCUSESOMEWHERE (6) was a winner over this trip 5 runs back when finding the front early before taking a seat and then making the closing shot a winning one. Strong to the line last start over the mile when just 1m from SABRAGE, the wide gate makes it tricky but with even luck he can make a play.

DREAM TO SHARE (7) worked forward in the small field to sit parked last start and was grinding it out to get within an eyelash of victory. The gate stings but he is versatile enough to feature.

TULHURST ACE (3) returns to Qld after a stint in South Australia where he did not really find his best. His last win was here back in May of 2020 and finding a close position from the good gate stays under notice at his return.

SELECTIONS: SABRAGE(5), SOME EXCUSESOMEWHERE (6), DREAM TO SHARE (7), TULHURST ACE (3)
SUGGESTED BET: SABRAGE(5) to win

RACE EIGHT

Tough race to close the card where the 3YO Kiwi import ALTA SENSATION (4) will step out for the first time for trainer Ian Gurney. Arriving with 4 wins to his name, he scored at Addington in easy fashion 3 starts back on May 28. With a sharp trial to prepare, he can cash-in first up in an open contest.

GINGER MICKY (1) found the front last start from gate 2 and was able to get an easy time early but was unable to finish them off when 8m in arrears of the winner. Runner-up over the mile 2 starts back after doing some work to find position, he has the options from this gate to challenge,

ASCALBUS (7) was having his 2nd run back from a break here last week when sent around them in the middle stages and was in for the fight when only 3m from the winner. With added fitness he is in the mix.

SNUGGLES BANYULA (5) took the trail from gate 1 last start and with the cosy trip as the race favourite could not reel in RECIPE FOR DREAMING. Powering over the top 2 starts back, she can be thereabouts.

SELECTIONS: ALTA SENSATION (4), GINGER MICKY (1), ASCALBUS (7), SNUGGLES BANYULA (5)
SUGGESTED BET:
