RACE ONE

After not contesting last week’s first 2YO Trot of the season in Qld, NELLIE JOY (6) takes her place here on debut off the back of some handy trial form. A daughter of Centurion ATM trained by Graham Dwyer, she did it easily at her latest trial and can look to start with a flurry.

HOLD MY HAT DOUG (2) made an error last week that ended his chances as he trailed the field home. His trials leading into that first appearance had been tidy and drawing a lane closer to the poles can see him closer to the action.

MISS MEMPHIS (5) was on her toes before the start last week and took some circling but was safely away when the tapes released. Leading deep into the stretch before finishing in 2nd, she can build off the debut performance.

NORTHERN POWER (1) had shown good manners in his trials but did not look as comfortable first up in race conditions last week and made an error. Getting it right from this gate can see improvement.

SELECTIONS: NELLIE JOY (6), HOLD MY HAT DOUG (2), MISS MEMPHIS (5), NORTHERN POWER (1)
SUGGESTED BET:

RACE TWO

stepping out in Qld last week for his first appearance since crossing the Tasman, GLOBAL FLIGHT (13) was first up without a public hit out. Safely way from the 20m tape, he was eased three-wide at the 700m and moved up stylishly and pulled clear to score. Fitter again, he can repeat the result.

SHEZA CHANCE (1) opened her winning account last start when stepping cleanly to the front and taking them all the way. Given a hit out at the trials since that win, she will get just the 10m advantage this time around but with some sinning confidence can look to challenge.

JACCKA WATCH (8) ended a seven-run streak of finishing in 2nd place here two starts back when cashing in for his first Qld victory. Back to being the runner-up last start, he will be thereabouts.

THE REAPER (11) started from the 30m impost last start and was making some late metres to grab the bronze last time behind GLOBAL FLIGHT. With a similar trip he can chime in again.

SELECTIONS: GLOBAL FLIGHT (13), SHEZA CHANCE (1), JACCKA WATCH (8), THE REAPER (11)
SUGGESTED BET: GLOBAL FLIGHT (13) to win

RACE THREE

Returning some handy results without cashing in, RIGONDEAUX (1) might just have found his opportunity. Sent forward here last Tuesday, he was repelled for the lead before going off-stride. Chasing hard to grab 4th, he was game in defeat on the three-day back-up. He can capitalise.

FATHER CHRISTMAS (7) started from the front tape last start and safely away to settle in the running line was then able to sprint over the top of them and pull clear to a 5m margin over this same trip. He moves back 10m for the win, but with the right trip and some confidence can look for a repeat.

MATATOKI (10) was fresh up last start when closing out in good order for the bronze behind FATHER CHRISTMAS. With good manners, he can be in position to feature.

THE NIGHT KING (3) was buried back in the pack from the 30m tape last week when chasing home to be midfield behind GLOBAL FLIGHT. He rises in grade here but back to the front tape is a plus.

SELECTIONS: RIGONDEAUX (1), FATHER CHRISTMAS (7), MATATOKI (10), THE NIGHT KING (3)
SUGGESTED BET: RIGONDEAUX (1) to win

RACE FOUR

Still chasing the maiden breaker after placing in three of her four to date, SHORT LEG SUE (1) comes up with conditions to capitalise. Runner-up last week after taking the trail on the winner ODINS BLACK CROWS, she looks to secure every opportunity in this line up.

FRAYA (10) tackled the mixed Consolation of the Breeders Classic last time out and was forced to do it the tough way when sitting parked, fading in the closing stages. Making costly errors at both previous starts, with the right trip she can look to issue the challenge.

MIKI MAGIC (7) was sent to the post as the fav last week and after taking the trail made a closing raid to get within a head of the winner. Copping the ODM embargo, she can look to chime in again.

BRONKSI DELIGHT (8) was on debut last start when settling in the 1x1 trail before trying to make a closing impression, finishing 8m from the winner. With the cosy trip, she can be thereabouts.

SELECTIONS: SHORT LEG SUE (1), FRAYA (10), MIKI MAGIC (7), BRONKSI DELIGHT (8)
SUGGESTED BET: SHORT LEG SUE (1) to win

RACE FIVE

Making a handy impression at his first appearance after crossing the ditch, WOODLEA DIEGO (8) looks set to enjoy a perfect trip in behind the speed. Angled to the poles when first up, when he found space, he attacked the line in nice order to grab 2nd and can make stalk the speed here.

A RAINBOW DANCER (1) fired out from gate 3 to lead here three starts back and from the front was able to see it out with 1m to spare. The second line gate stung at her next appearance before being collared in front last time out, holding on for 3rd. From the gate she will be challenging.

CHAL BE (10) secured the perfect rip in behind the speed at Redcliffe last time out and when shown open road along the passing lane, darted through to score. He can be making a late play.

HEZ ON THE BUZZER (9) grabbed 3rd behind MI FURIOSO TORO last time out, where WOODLEA DIEGO was able to beat him home. Taking benefit from the run, he can be chiming in again.

SELECTIONS: WOODLEA DIEGO (8), A RAINBOW DANCER (1), CHAL BE (10), HEZ ON THE BUZZER (9)
SUGGESTED BET: WOODLEA DIEGO (8) to win

RACE SIX

Making the most of the inside gate last time out, MI FURIOSO TORO (7) kept them all wide in the early stages and rolling in front had 6m to spare on the line in claiming victory. Runner-up the start prior after doing it the tough way first over, in this line up, he can overcome the gate impediment.

GOING GREAT GUNS (9) was buried from inside the second line last time out and never saw the gaps as RAANI cashed in. The start prior he tackled the 3YO Breeders where gate 7 made the task even tougher and he was at the rear as SPEAK THE TRUTH arrived. He gets the chance to challenge.

MISTER REACTOR (4) was out in front last start and trying to see it out when a wall descended and in a blanket finish had to settle with 4th. That was from gate 1 and wider here looms as a place hope.

TORQUE TO THE MUSIC (6) eased from this same gate last time out to the rear before picking off some closing metres for 2nd to CRADLE OF FIRE. With the right trip in this grade he can feature.

SELECTIONS: MI FURIOSO TORO (7), GOING GREAT GUNS (9), MISTER REACTOR (4), TORQUE TO THE MUSIC (6)
SUGGESTED BET: MI FURIOSO TORO (7) to win

RACE EIGHT

GOOD AS IT GETS (2) faced gate 10 in a strong Saturday night contest last time out when not receiving the smoothest passage and finishing midfield to CLASS TO THE MAX. Just 4m from HEMSWORTH two starts back, he was game in defeat three back and looks to get his chance here.

ISOLATION (10) started from the second line last time out and from back in the pack was making some good ground over the closing stages in some slick closing panels. Asked to do it the tough way the start prior, with the right trip he can look to descend upon them here.

BRAEBEACH (1) will be first up in seven-weeks after his last appearance in a qualifier when down the line behind ROCKS OR DIAMONDS. A tough 2nd two starts back, he has the gate to feature fresh.

MISTERY ROAD (3) joins the Shane Graham barn following his last start when trying to make closing metres as KING TRITON arrived. Buried from the second line two starts back, he is in the mix.

SELECTIONS: GOOD AS IT GETS (2), ISOLATION (10), BRAEBEACH (1), MISTERY ROAD (3)
SUGGESTED BET: GOOD AS IT GETS (2) to win

RACE NINE

Clinical in victory at his first run back from a break, SLIP THE HUNDY (7) was sent straight to the front from gate 4 and taking control, sizzled up the lane in a 26.5 closer to take his record to 3 from 4 here at The Creek. He faces the wide gate here, but with the ability to work of required, can continue his slick record.

COPPERFIELD (9) found the conditions to get to the front here two starts back and once in control held off the challengers for the victory. Midfield and well held last start behind SAGINAW, he can get the right trail through to possie up nicely and issue some form of challenge.

BE MY ROCK (8) found the poles before releasing last start and with the nice trip in behind the speed grabbed the silver behind the flying CLASSIE WASHINGTON. With an easy trip, he will be probing.

ITZ MAJOR RICH (2) has had three runs back from a spell, yet they have been spaced and he will be fresh here, first up in six weeks. Down the line last start to AIR TIME, he can be sharper here.

SELECTIONS: SLIP THE HUNDY (7), COPPERFIELD (9), BE MY ROCK (8), ITZ MAJOR RICH (2)
SUGGESTED BET: SLIP THE HUNDY (7) to win
