RACE ONE

A costly conveyance to favourite supporters in three Qld appearances, MR IBIZA (2) has been turned over as the punters elect in all three outings. Releasing last start at the mile, he could only manage a 4m margin for the silver, with the second line being a hurdle too high the start prior. He can atone.

HEZ ON THE BUZZER (1) broke through for his first win in Qld last time out when settling in the running line form the second line before working home over the top to claim a 2m margin at the 2138m trip. Snaring his best gate since arriving, he has the options to throw down the challenge.

DANCE IN THE SUN (8) franked the effort of her first up effort when 3rd with a strong all the way victory last time out. Pulling clear for a 10m margin, she will be searching for the gaps to chime in.

SLICK SOPHIE (4) will be first up in the Sunshine State for Stephen Cini and arrives a last start Penrith winner. Charging across from gate 6 to lead in that contest, she has podium claims here first up.

SELECTIONS: MR IBIZA (2), HEZ ON THE BUZZER (1), DANCE IN THE SUN (8), SLICK SOPHIE (4)
SUGGESTED BET: MR IBIZA (2) to win

RACE TWO

Backing up from Saturday night where she tackled a qualifier, CALA JANE (1) looks to have found the perfect conditions to strike. Eased to the poles from the second line, her closing splits were sharp behind the winner PERFECT CUT. Back to this grade of contest, she can take her shot up the lane.

STRONG RESPONSE (2) was beaten by gate 6 last start when eased to the rear and trying to make ground behind SUGAR FOR MY HONEY. Luckless two runs back from gate 7 when snagging back to the rear and then hitting a traffic jam in the stretch, the improved gate is a huge plus.

FLYING ART (9) was eased away from the inside second line to work around them last start and sit parked over the middle trip but could not see it out. Trailing through here can see him feature.

MISTERY ROAD (6) comes out of the same race as FLYING ART where he was leading the three-wide train in the closing stages in grabbing a handy 3rd. He can be in the mix again here.

SELECTIONS: CALA JANE (1), STRONG RESPONSE (2), FLYING ART (9), MISTERY ROAD (6)
SUGGESTED BET: CALA JANE (1) to win

RACE THREE

From gate 1 last time out, AYE AYE CAPTAIN (3) took the trail and then was trying to fire a closing rally but could only get within 10m of the winner DANCE IN THE SUN in holding on for the silver. From this gate he can be up near the action and finds a race that looks within his grasp.

REDBANK MOLLY (1) pressed on with it from gate 6 last start at the 2138m and finding the front was trying to fight them off but could only manage a deficit of 6m from the winner. Runner-up the start prior behind subsequent smart winner CANTFINDABETTORMAN, she has the gate to challenge.

ROCKNHOLME (8) was a shade below his previous efforts here last week when down the line behind DANCE IN THE SUN. Attacking the line strongly his previous two, he can look for a closing shot.

DIGYOURHEELSIN (9) fought on gamely three runs back when 3m from the winner KOWHAI BLAZE and followed that with a gritty effort when parked behind BEEFY BENSON. She can join in here.

SELECTIONS: AYE AYE CAPTAIN (3), REDBANK MOLLY (1), ROCKNHOLME (8), DIGYOURHEELSIN (9)
SUGGESTED BET: Exotics 1-3-8-9

RACE FOUR

After having an early look from gate 3 last time out, DUKKAH (8) was able to drop in behind the leader and waited to take the closing shot. Grabbing 2nd but unable to get past the leader and winner PERFECT CUT. He will be looking for the gaps with momentum but is up to this.

HECTOR (1) has not had much go his wat in two runs back from a spell where the second line was an ask when resuming and then second up, he showed early hustle before going roughly and thereafter on the sticky track did not go on with it. The gate is a bonus for this contest.

REGULUS (9) has been meeting some tougher opponents than he will square off against here, the latest when not too far from subsequent winner RONALDO. Pushing through early, he can feature.

HY VOLTAGE (2) was beaten by the gate last time out when retreating from gate 7 before peeling off some sharp closing sectionals. Forced to do it tough two starts back, he can fire some early bullets.

SELECTIONS: DUKKAH (8), HECTOR (1), REGULUS (9), HY VOLTAGE (2)
SUGGESTED BET: DUKKAH (8) to win

RACE FIVE

Owning some slippery moves when the start car pulls clear, MOHS EM DOWN (5) charged across from this same gate last start to set up the speed when collared in the closing strides by ROCK BOTTOM. Chasing for the bronze to SUMOMENTSOMEWHERE the start prior, he can see it out.

ROCK BOTTOM (7) will be in search of a hat-trick of wins but is given no favours from the outside front line gate. Buried in the run last start, he attacked the line to arrive in the last strides and has found a way to overcome second line gate at his past two. The threepeat is within reach.

MAFUTA VAUTIN (6) has been sectionally super in recent outings, the latest when snagging to the rear from gate 7. Beaten just a neck in each of his previous two starts, he has podium claims again.

HIDDEN COURAGE (8) hit the line strongly last time from back in the pack after retreating from gate 6. He will need a slice of luck to fall his way from this alley, but if the gaps open, he can hit the board.

SELECTIONS: MOHS EM DOWN (5), ROCK BOTTOM (7), MAFUTA VAUTIN (6), HIDDEN COURAGE (8)
SUGGESTED BET: MOHS EM DOWN (5) to win

RACE SIX

A few factors were the undoing of UNCLE SHANK (6) last start in the Queensland Sun where he finished down the line behind KASHED UP. A winner at his previous two starts in a similar 90Series, he just scrapes into another one here and returning to the mile in the small field looks hard to stop.

OUR BONDI BEACH (1) was into the passing lane last start from this alley but missed the money when 4m in arrears of the winner ROCK BOTTOM. That made it successive runs behind that same winner and with the small field and run behind the speed here, the podium beckons.

ROCKS OR DIAMONDS (4) was too far back in the pack last start after retreating from gate 5, the closing tempo putting it out of reach. Runner-up to MAJOR JELLIS the start prior, the small field suits.

SELECTIONS: UNCLE SHANK (6), OUR BONDI BEACH (1), ROCKS OR DIAMONDS (4)
SUGGESTED BET: UNCLE SHANK (6) to win

RACE EIGHT

Featuring in a stable switch LEITHEN BURN (5) looked set to get through his grades when he first arrived in Aus 12 months ago but has gone winless. Hitting the line nicely last start, he has since trialled for the Butler stable in smart order and finds the right opposition to open the account.

HARLEY BLUE (1) is still searching for her first win of the season, her latest effort when midfield behind the handy SWEETPASSION. Buried in the run the start prior, she was making some nice closing metres and from the improved alley, can look to get the right trip to chime in.

BORSELLINO (8) will have the early options as the lone second line runner and was runner-up last start when tacking the pocket trail from this gate. Finding space, he has podium claims.

JUDGE JUJON (4) has placed at his past two attempts, the latest when hemmed away against the poles and making some late metres behind SWEETPASSION. With the right luck he can feature.

SELECTIONS: LEITHEN BURN (5), HARLEY BLUE (1), BORSELLINO (8), JUDGE JUJON (4)
SUGGESTED BET: LEITHEN BURN (5) to win

RACE NINE

Still chasing his first win of the 2022 season, CARNERA (12) will need some factors in his favour from out the back. Looming into it strongly two starts back, he peaked on the run when finishing 6m in arrears. Settling closer to the action can help his case.

KING OF THE NORTH (9) has been runner-up in both starts since crossing the Tasman, going under as the odds-on elect in both contests. Pressing on from the 20m tape to find the front last start, he could not repel the subsequent winner KAR MANOR. Stepping cleanly, he can throw it down.

MISTER CHISOLM (2) resumes from a spell after being shut down from his last start back in March. With a tidy preparatory trial and excellent manners from the tapes, he has a rough place hope.

PADDY PANTS (6) showed early hustle to hold the front last start under mobile conditions before releasing and fading late with a solid middle half. Back to the tapes looks a bonus.

SELECTIONS: CARNERA (12), KING OF THE NORTH (9), MISTER CHISOLM (2), PADDY PANTS (6)
SUGGESTED BET:

RACE TEN

MISS MEMPHIS (1)
has placed in 3 of her 4 starts, the latest when trying to fight them off in the closing stages but finishing 11m adrift of the winner WEWILLSEEHOWWEGO. 4m astern of the winner two runs back, she is up the task.

HOLD MY HAT DOUG (4) looked like he had then covered three starts back until RAZZLEME DAZZLEME nailed him right on the wire for the barest possible margin. Best of the chasers behind the winner here last week, the Turpin stable have dominated these 2YO trotters’ event this season.

NELLIE JOY (2) has made errors at her past two starts, which has proven costly and seen how finish at the rear on both occasions. Just a head from the winner three runs back, if she brings the manners, she can make a play.

SELECTIONS: MISS MEMPHIS (1), HOLD MY HAT DOUG (4), NELLIE JOY (2)
SUGGESTED BET:
