RACE ONE

After finishing as the runner-up in 3 of his 5 starts to date, this looks the perfect chance for HOLD MY HAT DOUG (2) to be welcomed into the winner’s club. Sent to the post as fav last start, he was making a closing dive to be just 1m from the winner NELLIE JOY and can open the account here.

THE EMULATOR (1) is a filly by the ill-fated Aldebaran Eagle on debut for trainer Denis Smith. Showing perfect manners to earn her race ticket when safely and smartly away from the tapes before trotting cleanly and putting her rivals away in nice fashion, she looks to have a future.

MISS MEMPHIS (4) has placed in 4 of her 5 appearances as she looks to find a way to open the win ledger. Making an early error last time, if she can be settled at the start, she can be ready to strike.

NELLIE JOY (7) got it all right last start to finish best and claim the maiden breaking win after threatening on a couple of previous occasions. Despite the 10m tape, she has claims.

SELECTIONS: HOLD MY HAT DOUG (2), THE EMULATOR (1), MISS MEMPHIS (4), NELLIE JOY (7)
SUGGESTED BET:

RACE TWO

After successive wins at the 2138m and then the mile, KING OF THE NORTH (1) will step up to the longer 2647m trip here chasing the hat-trick. Starting off the second row under mobile conditions last start, he charged by late for an effortless win and from the front tape can land the threepeat.

KAR MANOR (6) gained a start in the G2 Trotters Sprint last start as the emergency where he made an error and was down the line behind CREDIT MASTER. A winner at his previous two outings, including a sharp win from the mobile and from the 30m in a capacity field, he can throw it down.

INDEFENSIBLE (3) started from the 10m tape last time out and was making some late metres to get within 3m of the winner for 3rd.  Hitting some nice form, his record at the longer trip is a concern.

MATATOKI (7) tackled the mobile conditions last start where he finished down the line behind KAR MANOR. Grabbing 3rd at big odds from 20m two starts back, his manners will help him feature.

SELECTIONS: KING OF THE NORTH (1), KAR MANOR (6), INDEFENSIBLE (3), MATATOKI (7),
SUGGESTED BET: KING OF THE NORTH (1) to win

RACE THREE

PADDY PANTS (5)
did some early work from the inside lane last start to work off and find running line cover. Making a starting error here two runs back but resetting to chase and be just a neck from KING OF THE NORTH, if he can bring his starting manners, he finds a winnable contest.

SHEGOTSASS (6) had some last start when ending her chances with an error soon after the start and finishing at the tail. Starting from 20m two runs back before making some nice metres in the closing stages for 3rd behind KING OF THE NORTH, this looks a race where she can overturn the win drought.

HAMMER SON (11) is the query runner, stepping out here for his first Qld appearance for Doug Lee. A last start Geelong winner, he is giving away race experience here but stays under notice.

JUST CALL ME MOLLY (2) has gone two years since last tasting victory and while that might not change here, she has been sound in recent offerings. Grabbing 3rd to PADDY PANTS two back, she has podium claims.

SELECTIONS: PADDY PANTS (5), SHEGOTSASS (6), HAMMER SON (11), JUST CALL ME MOLLY (2)
SUGGESTED BET: PADDY PANTS (5) to win

RACE FOUR

In nice touch this Carnival where he has claimed a pair of Saturday night victories from four outings, a return to Tuesday company looks a gift for DELIGHTFUL DUDE (3). Charging home to defeat subsequent winner CRIME WRITER two back, he was 8m away in the 4YO Champs last start.

MY ULTIMATE STAR (4) copped a second line gate last start and was wide off the track when trying to make late ground. The run was probably better than the return as COLT THIRTY ONE claimed the win up the lane. 3m from ROCKIN MARTY two starts back, the smaller field is a huge plus.

TIZ A SIZZLER (2) returned from over 12 months off the scene with a first up Redcliffe victory from gate 5. With the race turning into a last panel blitz, it worked into his favour perfectly. Tightened from that run and with the chance of tucking in behind the speed, he can make a play.

SELECTIONS: DELIGHTFUL DUDE (3), MY ULTIMATE STAR (4) TIZ A SIZZLER (2)
SUGGESTED BET: DELIGHTFUL DUDE (3) to win

RACE FIVE

SHEZ GOT BLING (4) was a passing lane winner at Redcliffe five runs back and since that victory not much has really been in her favour. Out of the pack and finding the line in nice order last start for 2nd, finding position cheaply and relying on some tempo, she can power home.

A RAINBOW DANCER (10) was sent to the post as fav last start from gate 7 where she was sent to sit parked before fading in the closing stages. Reinstated to the main draw following that effort, she is dealt the outside second line here, but can be issuing a closing challenge.

INZANIGHT (1)
switches to the Matt Craven stable after two runs back this campaign where she has been down the line on each occasion. With an improved gate she can look for a sharper return.

SHESA POCKETROCKET (8) is knocking on the door after finishing as the runner-up at her past three in succession, the latest when hitting the lime smartly to be just a neck away. She will be probing.

SELECTIONS: SHEZ GOT BLING (4), A RAINBOW DANCER (10), INZANIGHT (1), SHESA POCKETROCKET (8)
SUGGESTED BET: SHEZ GOT BLING (4) to win

RACE SIX

A first-starter by Always B Miki, CHEER LEADER (1) is the first foal of the smart race mare Cherish The Moment that paced a 1.53.1 mile during her 15-win career. With a handy effort to earn the race ticket at the trials behind CLASSIE WASHINGTON, she lands the gate to kick off her career in style.

MIKI MAGIC (4) was sent to the post in red figures last start from this same gate. Rolling across to look for the lamp lighting duties, that position was not available, and he was forced to do it the tough way thereafter. Limiting the toil will help his chances of challenging.

MY ULTIMATE JIMBO (5) got it all wrong when making his debut here last week, breaking stride and ending his chances. With a sound trial to prepare for the debut, he can be better.

WANDARY DELIGHT (8) is the first foal of the former smart race mare Wandary Splash. Down the line in a pair of trials, she will have the second line options.

SELECTIONS: CHEER LEADER (1), MIKI MAGIC (4), MY ULTIMATE JIMBO (5), WANDARY DELIGHT (8)
SUGGESTED BET: CHEER LEADER (1) to win

RACE EIGHT

In a race where many have limited form strength at the 2138m trip, AWAYWEGO (5) might just have the class edged to overcome the distance concerns. Resuming from a spell last time out when holding on for the silver behind BONNIE PRINCE LOUIS, limiting the early burn will aid his chances.

LEITHEN BURN (6) was a stylish first up winner here two runs back, taking them all the way when sent out a short price fav. Hemmed away from inside the second line last time out and chiming in to be 6m from the winner, he looks to be building into his campaign nicely and can issue the challenge.

BRIDGE COIN (7) heads North for Bern Hewitt and arrives a last start Dubbo winner when finishing over the top from the 1x1 trail. The gate stings here but with the right trip he can feature.

STRONG RESPONSE (1) lands the right gate and has a handy record at this trip, his last win coming at this journey when pressing on from gate 12 to the front and dictating thereafter.

SELECTIONS: AWAYWEGO (5), LEITHEN BURN (6), BRIDGE COIN (7), STRONG RESPONSE (1)
SUGGESTED BET:

RACE NINE

He comes up with the tough alley, but MISTERFREEZE (11) should relish the opportunity to get back to this grade of contest. Closing out in nice order for 3rd behind APHORISM last start, two runs back he was not far from COLT THIRTY ONE and could have bene closer with a clearer passage. The right tempo can see him arrive.

BELLA BALL TERROR (2) started from this gate last start and settled in the 1x1 trail before grabbing the bronze behind SQUIRE. A winner at this trip four runs back when hemmed away on the poles before charging over the top to score, he can find a forward spot to make a challenge.

SQUIRE (8) will be requiring a slice of luck from this alley but if the gaps present, he can make a play. A winner in smart order two runs back, he grabbed the silver last time out when just a half-neck away.

JUST ROKIN (4) eased from gate 4 last time out over the 1660 and from the pegs then made a closing raid to be 2m from the winner WARFARE. With even luck, she can again chime in.

SELECTIONS: MISTERFREEZE (11), BELLA BALL TERROR (2), SQUIRE (8), JUST ROKIN (4)
SUGGESTED BET: MISTERFREEZE (11) to win

RACE TEN

With just the solitary win here at headquarters after 15 attempts, HE SAID SHE SAID (2) should appreciate an improved barrier after some tough alleys in recent starts. Snagging back early from gate 7 last time and closing out nicely, he can stalk the speed and be ready to take his shot.

HY VOLTAGE (4) found the front from gate 2 here two starts back when looking to take them all the way, only to be collared in the closing stages by CHAMONIX. Doing some early work last time out but fighting on for the silver behind MISTERY ROAD, the front looks available for him to throw it down.

INFINITY BEACH (3) makes her first Qld appearance, arriving a last start winner over the 2040m trip at Parkes when taking them all the way. Tucking in behind the speed, she can be chiming in.

CAPTAIN NEMO (10) started from inside the second line last time out and was soon hemmed away and never had a crack at them as subsequent winner CRIME WRITER arrived. He can chime in here.

SELECTIONS: HE SAID SHE SAID (2), HY VOLTAGE (4), INFINITY BEACH (3), CAPTAIN NEMO (10)
SUGGESTED BET: HE SAID SHE SAID (2) to win
