RACE ONE

LANOCH BOY (7) will take added benefit from his latest performance where he was second up from a spell. Despite striking some trouble, it was a handy effort to grab 3rd when within 3m of the winner. Charging home after retreating from gate 6 when resuming, he should be stalking the speed.

KORLOFF NOIR (1) faces another step up here after breaking her maiden status last time out, tackling some experienced performers here. Leading throughout from gate 4 to an effortless win at prohibitive odds, she has the gate to take the step presented.

ROSES ARE SWEET (4) has a super record here at the Peninsula where she has claimed 5 wins and 3 minors in 10 outings. Buried last start, she charged home to grab the prize and has claims again.

SUGGESTED BET: LANOCH BOY (7) to win

RACE TWO

BEACH MAGIC (7) started from this same gate last time out and was soon shuffled right out the back. Searching for space to make a closing raid, he ended up the widest runner down the stretch and was really picking up late. Placed his previous three, he should enjoy the strip to strike.

MY ULTIMATE BONDI (1) was chasing down five on the bounce last start when tackling the Western Star at Marburg. Settled in the 1x1 trail, WOODLEA DIEGO was able to control it in front through a slick closing 800m split. Back to the inside alley, he can burrow through and try to hold them off.

BETTOR ROMANCE (4) has won 2 of her past 4 to double her win tally, claiming the victory up the passing lane here last week when finding the pocket trail from gate 3. She has claims once again.

ROSARITO (9) was making good metres in the closing stages here two runs back to run the winner RAANI to a half-head. A beaten fav here last week from gate 2, he can be chiming in late.

DEVOUGED (3) was a winner at the sprint trip here two runs back when asked to roll the sleeves and grind it out first over. Grafting out a 1m margin, he was making some late metres last start to grab the bronze behind STUDLEIGH MARK. He may need to do it tough here once again.

BUKTHSYSTEM (8) claimed victory here four runs back when doing some early work to secure position before owning superior closing speed. Placed twice since, a cosy trip looks available.

UNDERTHEKILT (4) has been struck down by a win drought dating back to November 2020, but he is working towards making it rain after placing in 5 of his past 7. Angled down to the poles last start, he grabbed the bronze behind MELTON INSULTED and can get forward to throw it down in this line up.

LARA BAY (2) settled in the 1x1 trail last time out and was trying to join in over the closing stages when finishing 1m adrift of the winner WHATA TERROR. She can be first to the poles here.

SUGGESTED BET: COURAGEOUS SAM (7) to win

RACE FIVE

THREE MACHS (9) has hit some form and lines up here staring down a hat-trick of victories. Finishing over the top of them from the 1x1 trail last time, she arrived from a similar position two starts back to take the prize. There looks some tempo and pressure which will aid her chances of the threepeat.

NEVAEVABEND (8) was hemmed away from inside the second line here two runs back and made some nice metres int eh closing stages when 6m astern of the winner. Luckless last time when buried away and not finding an opening, she can be looking to descend on them in the stretch.

WHATA REACTOR (1) held the pocket trail from this alley last start and was best of the rest behind REMEMBER EVE who was a clear out winner. With a similar trip, she will be searching for gaps.

ABBEY DIADEMA (6) did not have the smoothest passage last start from the second line which followed a handy close out from back in the pack. The gate does not help, but she can chime in.

SUGGESTED BET:

RACE SIX

FURIOSA (1)
has been runner-up at her past two in succession and lands the ideal gate to hunt down the account opener. Releasing the speed last week, she was best of the chasing pack behind the comfortable winner KORLOFF NOIR. Just a head away two runs back, she looks to get every chance.

DESTINY BLUES (8) will take good benefit from her latest outing where she was second up from a spell. Eased from gate 5 when resuming, she picked off a few metres in the closing stages and then last week held on for 3rd as KORLOFF NOIR dominated. Trailing through, she can make a late play.

OUTER CHANGE (3) finished as the runner-up last start when attacking the line in nice order from deep in the pack to be 5m in arrears. With the right trip from this gate, she is podium chance again.

THE WHISTLER (2) was soon locked away after starting from the ace last time out and chasing in vain. Down the line two starts back from gate 4, she can settle near the action here to feature.

SUGGESTED BET: FURIOSA (1) to win

RACE SEVEN

REMEMBER EVE (1)
has shown a real penchant for the Peninsula, wining 5 of her 6 attempts here. The only miss came when attempting the 2040m trip two starts back where she faded late to be 8m from the winner. Bouncing back last start to take them all the way with 21m to spare, she has the gate to claim another one.

FEEL THE THRILL (2) had a shot from this gate two starts back before easing back to find an easier trip and then closed out in nice order to be 4m in arrears of the winner DEVOUGED. Obliged to race tough three runs back, he can throw down a challenge here.

DARBY BRIGHTS (4) faces a tricky alley here and was a beaten fav last start at Marburg when making a wide run over the closing stages to be withing 3m of the winner. With even luck she can feature.

EXPLANATION NOTED (6) had been building towards a victory after three successive placings and delivered last start when working home over the top to score. The gate dents the repeating hope.

SUGGESTED BET: REMEMBER EVE to win

RACE EIGHT

SOULWRITER (5) was first up back in Qld here two starts back when hustled off the arm to find the front from gate 2 and once in control was able to take them all the way. An inside second line gate stung last start when sent around to sit parked and back to the front line, she can be lit up at the start and look to see it out.

TORQUE TO THE MAX (3) has been thereabouts in recent outings, grabbing the bronze at her past two in succession. Working home from gate 9 here two starts back to be 3m from the winner, she chased hard last time for 3rd and from this gate can get forward to make a challenge.

SUGGESTED BET: SOULWRITER (5) to win

RACE NINE

THE WEAPON (8)
takes his first look at The Triangle and should appreciate a return to maiden company after meeting some more experienced rivals at The Creek in recent attempts. Down the line behind BONNIE PRINCE LOUIS last time, he can trail through early and looks to get his chance.

GHOST TRAIN (1) was hemmed away on the poles from the second line two runs back and was hitting the line strongly in the closing stages to get within a head of the winner PRIDE AND LOUD. A wide gate was his undoing last start and with added experience, he can throw it down here.

VILLAGE SMIRKER (3) will take further benefit from his latest outing where he was having his third run back from three years off the scene. Pressing forward early, he is a podium hope.

MILLIE FRANCIS (6) is a Rock N Roll Heaven filly o debut for Tim Butt that has trialled in sound order for her first race appearance but has been given non favours from the wide alley.

YOGI (4) started from the second line last week when finding the 1x1 trail before trying to make a closing raid, finishing 3m in arrears of the winner SAN MAREA. A return to the front line after three successive starts off the back can be the catalyst for him challenging here.

TRUE ORIGINS (2) held the pocket trail last start and using the passing lane, dived through to be 5m from the winner MAYWYNS LA NINA. Her previous three were from the second line and she can make a play.

SELECTIONS: CRADOCK (6), YOGI (4), TRUE ORIGINS (2)
