RACE ONE

TRUE ORIGINS (3) is a 2YO filly taking on the older horses following her last start 3rd. Keeping them wide from gate 1, she was looking at leading throughout but was collared in the closing strides when 4m in arrears of the winner. Looking for the poles again here, she will be trying to last the trip.

FILLY THIRTEEN (9) was beaten by gate 6 last start, snagging back to the rear and chasing forlornly. Facing the ODM embargo following a starting error two runs back when sent out as the favourite, she struck trouble on debut when finishing 2nd. If she can pace cleanly, she can challenge.

RAINBOW CLASSIC (8) has placed in 2 of 3 career starts to date, the latest when starting from inside the second line and making an error before release. With the right trip he can chime in again.

SABOTAGE (7) fired out from gate 1 looking to take them all the way last start but was unable to see it out. In risk of being buried in the run from this alley, she will be searching for a way clear.

SUGGESTED BET: TRUE ORIGINS (3) to win

RACE TWO

AROONA (4) eased from gate 4 over the 1780m trip two starts back and was making nice metres in the closing stages to grab 3rd when under 2m from the winner. Hemmed away on the poles last start, he can look for the running line here and with the right trip can arrive over the top.

LIVING FREE (2) has placed at his past three in succession, the latest when looking for an all the way win from gate 1. Leading them into the stretch, he could not repel the challenge of ROCCO VARIETY and was beaten a similar margin behind that same winner two starts back. He will be gripping on.

ALWAYS AT NIGHT (9) has been campaigning through the Brisbane Show, picking up victory in two races. Luckless when under 3m from the winner at Marburg, he can be finishing hard in this.

WEASEL (1) will be stepping out for career start 400 after finishing as the runner-up at his past two starts. Fighting hard last start when finishing 1m from the winner, he will be thereabouts.

SELECTIONS: AROONA (4), LIVING FREE (2), ALWAYS AT NIGHT (9), WEASEL (1)
SUGGESTED BET: AROONA (4) to win

RACE THREE

BETTING ORIGIN (4)
copped gate 6 in the Triad Heat last start and easing to find position, was always facing a task as AWAYWEGO prevailed. Luckless from the second line at his previous two in succession, a return to the front line in this company appeals.

RAMBLING ON (2) tackled the 3YO Triad Fillies Heat last start from gate 3 and found them out of reach. Chasing MAGICAL MAYA here two starts back, she led throughout to break the maiden status five runs back at this trip and can find position to throw down the challenge.

MASTER CHARLES (7) fired out to lead here two starts back and was trying to fight them off when just 1m from the winner. With an economical trip, he will be searching for gaps to chime in.
ONLYSBEST (5) resumes after 12 months on the sidelines, his last appearance when 4th in the Sales Series Final behind SHES MISS DEVINE. With a pair of preparatory trials, he has podium claims fresh.

SELECTIONS: BETTING ORIGIN (4), RAMBLING ON (2), MASTER CHARLES (7), ONLYSBEST (5)
SUGGESTED BET: BETTING ORIGIN (4) to win

RACE FOUR

MY ULTIMATE HESTON (8)
was working home from the second line here two starts back and was just 2m from the winner ABBEY DIADEMA. Too strong in the closing stages from this same gate last start when powering away for a margin of 10m, he can look for a repeat.

JILLIBY GIZMO (4) has been campaigning at the Brisbane Show over the past week and was 2nd in the big Final event. 3rd last time he stepped out here on The Triangle when working hard in the run when parked, he can press forward in a race where the Ricky Gordon runners can dominate.

LORD DENZEL (1) has been runner-up in 3 of his past 5 including the last two in succession. Within 2m of the winner last time, he lands an economical trip and can be ready to make a play.

VERMONT (9) was chasing a hat-trick of wins two starts back when charging along the passing lane to be just 2m adrift of the winner in 3rd. Placed again last time, she can be chiming in.

SELECTIONS: MY ULTIMATE HESTON (8), JILLIBY GIZMO (4), LORD DENZEL (1), VERMONT (9)
SUGGESTED BET: MY ULTIMATE HESTON (8) to win

RACE FIVE

JOEY LINCOLN (7) was facing gate 5 last start when sent to the post as fav. Easing to find position, he was trying to wind up in the closing stages when finishing 3m astern of the passing lane winner. Charging home to score here two starts back, he can secure the ideal trip to land the snipers shot.

MANLY BOY (2) was returning from a spell last time out when hemmed away on the poles after starting from inside the second line. Within 4m of the winner along the passing lane, he can settle handy enough to the action to throw down a challenge.

JELIGNITE JACK (1) pressed on from gate 4 at this trip two starts back and took the trail when finishing with the bronze when 3m from the winner. He lands all the options from this alley.

UHURA (8) took on Saturday night company last time out when facing a ballot division of a mare’s qualifier and only 8m from the winner GUNNA NEEDAMARGARITA. The pegs could appeal here.

SELECTIONS: JOEY LINCOLN (7), MANLY BOY (2), JELIGNITE JACK (1), UHURA (8)
SUGGESTED BET: JOEY LINCOLN (7) to win

RACE SIX

DIEGO DELGADO (4)
has been hitting good areas in recent outings, finishing in the top-two at his past four in succession which includes a pair of wins. Winding up from back in the pack last start to arrive in the last strides to score, he can settle handy enough to look for the repeat.

JANG PEL (1) found the pocket trail from gate 3 at his last start here at Redcliffe where he then took a shot up the passing lane, finishing 2m from the winner in 2nd place. Finding the line in good order the start prior over the AP mile, the easy trip on the fence looks appealing.

STUDLEIGH WILL (7) was trying to take them all the way from gate 1 last start and led them deep into the stretch, only to be collared in the last strides. He will be stalking the speed this time.

PRINCE JOY (9) eased across from gate 4 last start to find the 1x1 trail and then in the last 350m when the runs came was locked in the box before getting out late to grab 3rd. He can join in here.

SUGGESTED BET: DIEGO DELGADO (4) to win

RACE SEVEN

BART MAGUIRE (5)
receives no favours from the wide alley here but his last start over the AP mile was a handy enough effort when runner-up to SHEREACTS. 5m from UHURA here two starts back at his first look at The Triangle, he gets a chance to claim his first Qld victory.

MY SECRET BEACH (2) went to the poles last start from the second line and was searching for short-cuts when 8m adrift from the winner TEACHERS PET. A Marburg winner three starts back when pulling clear for a 9m margin, he can fire some early bullets here to throw down the challenge.

DOOLITTLE DEXTER (7) is lining up in search of four on the bounce after completing the hat-trick last start when burrowing through to hold the front and taking them all the way. Finishing over the top of them two starts back, he will be hemmed away here and searching for a way clear to challenge.

MAJOR SLIP UP (3) was a Marburg winner four starts back when working home wide off the track. He has covered plenty of track in his three runs since and can be thereabouts again here.

SUGGESTED BET: BART MAGUIRE (5) to win

RACE EIGHT

JOHNROD (6) chalked up another victory here last start to make it 9 for the season here at the Peninsula. Sent forward from outside the second line to sit parked, he was able to graft out the win with 3m to spare on the line. He can roll forward again here and look to out-stay them.

MISSTREPO (5) tackled a ballot division of a mare’s qualifier last start and from gate 6 over the AP mile, eased to settle at the rear of the pack. Making strong metres in the closing stages, it followed a 5m margin here at the 2040m trip behind FIRE AND ICE. The gate stings, but this is well within reach.

HARRY KANE (8) was beaten by gate 7 last start over the AP mile, easing to find position before finding the line soundly against the tempo to finish midfield. He continues to give away experience but can get the right trip to feature here.

DELIGHTFUL RAINBOW (1) started from inside the second line last time out and was soon buried in the run over the AP mile as SHEREACTS took the prize. Placed his previous three in succession, the gate is a huge help.

SELECTIONS: JOHNROD (6), MISSTREPO (5), HARRY KANE (8), DELIGHTFUL RAINBOW (1)
SUGGESTED BET: JOHNROD (6) to win

RACE NINE

MISS VERSTAPPEN (1)
was something beat last start when tackling the 1st division mare’s qualifier and breaking soon after the field was released. Chasing hard to be just 6m in arrears of the winner, it followed a tough trip when midfield to BALLERINI. With all the options from the ace, she can strike.

LETTERKENNY BOY (8) will be relying on some tempo here which looks set to be generated and with the right trail in the early stages can find the right position. Strong to the line last start in claiming company behind EH EF EL, it followed a 3rd to ARTHUR LOWE, and he can make the closing challenge.

KANYE CRUISADER (4) has been sectionally super in recent weeks, the lates here at the sprint trip when charging home in the closing stages to be within 2m of the winner. He has podium hopes.

KATACHA MAN (2) was sent around the from the second line last start to sit parked and after grinding it out in the run, held 2nd when 2m from the winner. The improved gate helps his claims.

SELECTIONS: MISS VERSTAPPEN (1), LETTERKENNY BOY (8), KANYE CRUISADER (4), KATACHA MAN (2)
SUGGESTED BET: MISS VERSTAPPEN (1) to win

RACE TEN

MY ULTIMATE BONDI (9)
tackled a qualifier last start from gate 1 where he opted for cover at the 2138m trip and held on for 3rd to FALCONS. Chasing the flying BETTOR JIGGLE the start prior, he scored up the passing lane here three back and finds conditions to bounce back to winning form.

WHOSTOLEMYPIGEON (1) finds his best alley for some time and can realise the options on offer. Gate 7 over the AP 2138m in qualifying grade last time was too big of an ask, which followed a 6m margin when wide off the track from gate 5. The gate makes all the difference.

DESPONDENT (5) started from the second line last time and tracked into the race in good order to arrive in time with a strong closing 800m sectional. The wider gate dents the chances of a repeat.

CHARM OFFENSIVE (8) was luckless from gate 6 over the sprint trip last start and forced to retreat before finishing wide off the track. Gunned down in front two runs back, she can join in here.

SELECTIONS: MY ULTIMATE BONDI (9), WHOSTOLEMYPIGEON (1), DESPONDENT (5), CHARM OFFENSIVE (8)
SUGGESTED BET: MY ULTIMATE BONDI (9) to win
