RACE ONE

CRADOCK (1) keeps finding one or two better, as he continues to challenge but comes up short. Runner-up here three back when doing it tough outside the leader, he followed it with a 3rd when sent to the front but unable to see it out when 3m astern of the winner. Last start looked his chance when again collared late. Will today be the headline?

SHORT LEG SUE (5) loomed up strongly last start and looked set to cruise on by for the win but was collared as the first starter, PROSPECTUS, swept by to claim victory by a head. Placed in 8 of her 12 starts, she is getting closer to breaking the duck and despite the tough gate can challenge again.

TACTICS ARE ROLLIN (6) released the speed after holding up early from gate 1 last time out when just out of the money behind FAKE CULLECTION. Best of the rest when runner-up to the smart BORELLA two starts back, she is in the mix.

SELECTIONS: CRADOCK (1), SHORT LEG SUE (5), TACTICS ARE ROLLIN (6)
SUGGESTED BET: CRADOCK (1) to win

RACE TWO

ROYAL WINKLE (6) is a Lincoln Royal 3YO half-brother to Oliver Winkle making his debut for trainer Errol Cain. Gaining his race ticket here last Thursday, he settled in the trail from gate 3 before pulling clear and taking out the hit out. Still with a bit to learn, he finds a winnable maiden to kick off his career.

GHOST TRAIN (2) returns from a spell and has featured in a stable switch during the layoff, joining the Kay Crone barn. Runner-up in 2 of his 6 career outings, he was trying to take them all the way two runs back when holding on for the silver as THE WEAPON pulled clear. The gate is a big help.

GOTTALUVASUNDAYSESH (4) returns from a spell after a four-start campaign to open his career that failed to return a cheque. Finding the line smartly in a recent trial, he can feature fresh.

SELECTIONS: ROYAL WINKLE (6), GHOST TRAIN (2), GOTTALUVASUNDAYSESH (4)
SUGGESTED BET:

RACE THREE

REEDS VISION (2)
had put in a smart trial for his debut and was duly sent out deep into the red for his first race appearance. Franking the trial with a tidy victory, he was asked to step too far second up over the AP 2138m trip. He finds the ideal conditions here to go 2 from 3.

OCTOBER RACKETEER (5) has the wide gate to overcome here but should appreciate the conditions of this contest. Gate 6 was his undoing last time in much tougher company when still lonely 8m from the winner DOLLARBILL. 3rd to THERESACHANCE here three back, he can throw it down in this.

DIEGO DELGADO (6) has the wide gate to negotiate as he looks to recapture some better figures. Trailing them home last start, an error proved costly the start prior and podium claims look best.

DELIGHTFUL RAINBOW (4) settled well back in the pack last start from the second line and was picking off a few metres in the closing stages in finishing midfield. The smaller field helps.

SELECTIONS: REEDS VISION (2), OCTOBER RACKETEER (5), DIEGO DELGADO (6), DELIGHTFUL RAINBOW (4)
SUGGESTED BET: REEDS VISION (2) to win

RACE FOUR

DARBY BRIGHTS (7)
brings the best credentials but will need some factors going her way. Wider second line gates have been her nemesis in the past three, which followed wide front-line gates in both starts prior. Following a good beginner, she just needs momentum when the gaps arrive.

VERMONT (9) was sent forward from this same gate to sit parked last start and after the tough trip, was left vulnerable late. Eased from gate 6 to the poles before hitting the line smartly three runs back, she is given no favours from the gate but can make a challenge with the right trip.

WEASEL (3) was trying to make a play up the passing lane last start and was only 4m from the winner. Needing more time to wind up these days, from this gate he has podium claims.

FORTYFIVE ROCK (8) is still chasing his first win of the season, but has been sharper in his past 3, finishing as the runner-up in 2 of those. Just a half-head away last start, he is a podium hope again.

SELECTIONS: DARBY BRIGHTS (7), VERMONT (9), WEASEL (3), FORTYFIVE ROCK (8)
SUGGESTED BET: DARBY BRIGHTS (7) to win

RACE FIVE

DOWNTOWN LUCCA (9)
will need to overcome the tough gate, but he has found some form with two minors and a victory in his past four starts. Finding the front and able to see it out here two runs back, he was 3m in arrears of DUKE last start wen grabbing the silver. He can arrive again here.

ROCCO VARIETY (6) cops the outside paint but has brilliant speed off the arm should they wish to light the fuse early. No position was available last start from this same alley after having a look and then forced to grab up before chiming in for the bronze. Despite the impost, this is within reach.

VALKYRIE HANOVER (1) might find this level off opponent a tough ask, but she lands the right gate to make a podium play. Not far away over the AP mile last start, an economical trip helps her claims.

NEVAEVABEND (8) had placed in four successive starts before striking some trouble in transit last start when midfield after being sent out as the favourite. With the right trip, she can chime in.

SELECTIONS: DOWNTOWN LUCCA (9), ROCCO VARIETY (6), VALKYRIE HANOVER (1), NEVAEVABEND (8)
SUGGESTED BET: DOWNTOWN LUCCA (9) to win

RACE SIX

ILLAWONG DREAMTIME (9)
was returning from a spell last start and found the ideal conditions to overturn a win drought and claim his first win in 2022. Taking benefit from that victory, he receives no favours from this gate but with some winning confidence can look to repeat the dose.

GO JO JOLT (2) was taken off the arm from gate 6 last start to find the poles before making some closing metres to grab 3rd when 7m from the winner. A beaten fav in two of her previous three starts, she should appreciate the improved gate and firing the early bullets can throw it down.

CHASIN DREAMZ (3) has placed at her past two starts, the latest when sent forward to sit parked from gate 6 and grinding out a bronze. She may need to work again here but is up to the task.

JUST ONE GOOD ONE (6) is hitting some nice areas in recent attempts with a 3rd placing over the AP mile sandwiched between a pair of wins on this deck. The gate makes it tougher for this battle.

SELECTIONS: ILLAWONG DREAMTIME (9), GO JO JOLT (2), CHASIN DREAMZ (3), JUST ONE GOOD ONE (6)
SUGGESTED BET:  ILLAWONG DREAMTIME (9) to win

RACE SEVEN

VOODOO FELLA (8)
was crossed early last start before easing out of the trail and pressing to the front. The tempo was solid early and then with a 28.8 third panel he was under pressure and faded to midfield. Strong to the line here two back for the bronze, this looks within his grasp.

BULLDOG BRAWLER (9) took control from gate 2 last time out and was looking to take them all the way but was unable to see it out when finishing 4m astern of the winner. Collared by subsequent winner LUCKY NUTTER two starts back, the gate is not ideal, but he can make a challenge.

THE CASUAL GOOSE (3) started fav here four runs back where he was forced to ease to secure position before closing out to be 2m in arrears. A tough 2nd last start when parked, he is in this.

KASE (7) resumes from a spell for his second prep in Qld after four runs at the end of 2021 with the best return a 2nd to GLENLEDI COMMANDER. With two quiet trials, he can enjoy a soft trip fresh.

SELECTIONS: VOODOO FELLA (8), BULLDOG BRAWLER (9), THE CASUAL GOOSE (3), KASE (7)
SUGGESTED BET: VOODOO FELLA (8) to win

RACE EIGHT

CALL ME TRISH (2)
was sent around the field in the early stages after starting from the second line last time out and worked her way to the front. Trying to last, she was swallowed up late when under 2m from the winner. Placed in all three since winning here four back, this profiles ideally.

PURPLE SHADES (9) found the ideal set up last time out when securing the pocket trail from inside the second line. Angling the passing lane to make the closing shot a winning one and pulling clear to an 8m margin, he has been in nice touch and despite a rough gate can be closing hard to challenge.

BETTOR ROCKNROLL (6) resumes from a spell following a last start 3rd on this deck over 2040m back in July. A winner from gate 5 here three back, he opened the pipes with a tidy trial and is in the mix.

LARA BAY (1) has placed at her past two starts, the latest wen taking the trail from this alley and then running the winner to a head margin up the passing lane. With the options she can feature.

SELECTIONS: CALL ME TRISH (2), PURPLE SHADES (9), BETTOR ROCKNROLL (6), LARA BAY (1)
SUGGESTED BET: CALL ME TRISH (2) to win

RACE NINE

ALLAMBIE (2)
lines up for her 5th trainer in her past 15 starts, joining the Chantal Turpin stable. Banished to the trials after her last start in mid-August when retired from the race, she earned the return when finishing in just behind them in slick time in a hit out at headquarters. She can return in style.

ARNOLD STREET (3) resumes from a spell without the benefit of a public trial. Finding the front from gate 3 before releasing last start over the 2040, he was only 4m from the winner. Runner-up in a Trot Rods scamper two back, he has the gate to make a play fresh.

DEVOUGED (8) will take benefit from his latest offering where he was returning from a break. Eased from gate 5, he was making some ground wide out as STUDLEIGH SONNY arrived. Following through early can see him in the mix.

CHANCELESS CENTURY (9) was the lone runner off the second line last time and was soon angled off the poles into the running line. Finishing 2m from the winner ALTANA BLUE, he can be chiming in again.

SELECTIONS: ALLAMBIE (2), ARNOLD STREET (3), DEVOUGED (8), CHANCELESS CENTURY (9)
SUGGESTED BET: ALLAMBIE (2) to win
