RACE ONE

THE GROGFATHER (8) appreciated dropping back in grade after some handy performances in qualifying company. Content to sit parked over the 1780m trip, he proved too strong in pulling clear to take a 9m winning margin. Despite the gate he can go back-to-back.

STOMPEM (1) chimed in along the inside for the silver last start behind COPPERFIELD at headquarters to claim a minor for the first time in 10 starts this campaign. With the peg trip available, in this line up he can look to throw down a challenge.

LETSPLAYUNI (4) was beaten by gate 6 when retreating to find position and then on a three-day back-up grabbed 3rd when not carted back through the field by a tiring leader.

SHEZ NOTORIOUS (9) was a first up winner when resuming from a spell and then followed that with a 2nd when chasing MUMMYS BOY to the wire. She can be chiming in again.

SELECTIONS: THE GROGFATHER (8), STOMPEM (1), LETSPLAYUNI (4), SHEZ NOTORIOUS (9)
SUGGESTED BET: THE GROGFATHER (8) to win

RACE TWO

CHEETAH LODGE (8) was first up in Qld off the back of an impressive trial on this deck when scoring a big win over the sprint trip. Pressing on to sit parked from gate 5, he put them to the sword and pulled clear to an 11m margin. Up to the middle trip where his record is not great, he can capitalise.

ALLAMBIE (1) was game in defeat last start from gate 6 when forced to sit parked and fighting on to be under 3m from the winner. Runner-up two runs back from this gate behind IDEAL TIGER, she will likely be tucked away ready to issue the closing challenge.

MISSTREPO (5) was first up from a freshen last start where she was rattling home down the stretch from deep in the pack to be just an eyelash from the winner. She is in the mix again here.

MARIANNA BROMAC (3) angled to the inside from a second line gate last start and then using the passing lane grabbed 2nd. Securing a handy position can see her feature in this.

SELECTIONS: CHEETAH LODGE (8), ALLAMBIE (1), MISSTREPO (5), MARIANNA BROMAC (3)
SUGGESTED BET: CHEETAH LODGE (8) to win

RACE THREE

MY ULTIMATE CLIPPA (1)
had the speed to dart across from gate 3 and take them all the way here two starts back with 2m to spare on the line. Gifted the pocket trail last start from two out on the second line, he darted up the passing lane to be within a lip of victory. All the options appeal.

ASHLEE NITRO (9) eased from gate 5 over the AP mile last start to find position and was trying to get warm over the closing stages as ARNOLD STREET took them all the way. Runner-up her previous two in succession, she can be making a closing play to challenge.

THE RAGNBONE MAN (4) overcame gate 9 here two starts back when charging home in the closing stages to edge out MY ULTIMATE CLIPPA on the wire. He hast the early hustle to feature.

MYSTICAL JAZZ (7) was trying to see it out in front last start but punctured and finished near the tail of the field. A winner from gate 6 here three starts back, a cosy trip here can help.

SELECTIONS: MY ULTIMATE CLIPPA (1), ASHLEE NITRO (9), THE RAGNBONE MAN (4), MYSTICAL JAZZ (7)
SUGGESTED BET: Exotics 1-4-7-9

RACE FOUR

THE MACH ARMY (3)
was a Marburg winner three runs back when burrowing through to protect the poles from gate 1 and taking them all the way. Runner-up in both starts since that victory, he has been a neck and a half-neck from the winner in each. He finds the chance to see it out here.

MATAI REACTOR (7) lands a potentially sticky gate as he chases down a hat-trick of victories. Using the passing lane last start after taking the trail from gate 1, he had the speed to dart through and grab a narrow victory. Searching for the gaps, the threepeat is within reach.

WEASEL (1) was in the trail from this gate last start and was making a closing rally to be 1m away in grabbing 2nd. That made it successive 2nd placings as he moves into outright 4th on the all-time career starts list.

JILLIBY GIZMO (9) grabbed 3rd here three starts back when sent to the post as the fav and then from gate 3 over the AP mile last start, took them all the way. He can be chiming into the minors.

SELECTIONS: THE MACH ARMY (3), MATAI REACTOR (7), WEASEL (1), JILLIBY GIZMO (9)
SUGGESTED BET: THE MACH ARMY (3) to win

RACE FIVE

SONNY ORLANDO (2)
was faced with a second line gate last start when sent around the field in the early stages to sit parked before wilting over the latter stages. 3m in arrears of the winner two starts back, he can get to the pegs and despite a poor record at the trip, can look to pinch it.

GULMARG (1) was first up for the new stable last start when chiming in over the closing stages to grab the bronze behind ILLAWONG DREAMTIME. He lands all the favours from this gate and with the chance for a cosy trip over the middle trip, can be ready to make a challenge.

MISTER WOODPORT (7) retreated from gate 6 last start before rattling home in the closing stages to claim a 4m margin. With the cosy trip against the markers, he can be searching for the gaps.

JUST ONE GOOD ONE (8) was sent forward from gate 5 last start over the 1780m trip and worked to the front only to be under pressure at the 400. Saved for one shot, if close enough, he looms large in this line up.

SELECTIONS: SONNY ORLANDO (2), GULMARG (1), MISTER WOODPORT (7), JUST ONE GOOD ONE (8)
SUGGESTED BET: SONNY ORLANDO (2) to win

RACE SIX

BERTILS FIREFOX (8)
did it the tough way here two starts back and was game in grafting out a 2nd placing behind MATAI REACTOR. Charging home to score here last week after starting inside the second line, he finds a race with some early tempo and can tuck in and descend on them again.

ELPINE SALLY (3) fired some early bullets last start but was unable to get across to the poles and was then forced to roll the sleeves and do it the tough way. Fighting hard for the silver, it followed a luckless effort where she struck trouble in the run. Her chances will rise if she can get across.

TULHURST CUDDLES (7) has hit the board in 8 of her 10 on this deck, which includes one victory recorded here four runs back when working hard first over. In danger of being buried, she has podium claims.

TRIOLI (6) has been a costly conveyance for punters as she has been beaten as the favourite at her past three in succession. Starting deep into the red last start, the gate dents her hopes.

SELECTIONS: BERTILS FIREFOX (8), ELPINE SALLY (3), TULHURST CUDDLES (7), TRIOLI (6)
SUGGESTED BET:  BERTILS FIREFOX (8) to win

RACE SEVEN

CANDY STRIPER (1)
showed some early speed last start before taking cover and chasing for the silver behind HURRIKANE MEL. Returning for her first 3YO appearance and just her 3rd career start, she will take great benefit from the hit out and second up finds the gate and conditions to breakthrough.

CORVETTE JOE (3) will be first up in over two years after four starts during his 2YO term where he ran into horses that have all progressed through the grades. Coming into this with just one public trial where he wasn’t asked for much, he should certainly take great improvement from the outing.

SUBTLE CHAY (6) added another minor to the tally last time out to make it 4 placings in 6 attempts on this deck as he chases a maiden breaking success. The wide gate dents his hopes this time.

WHISKY BANDIT (2) faded out last start behind ROYAL WINKLE to finish at the tail of the field. Midfield two runs back, he can be close to the action to look for a podium return.

SELECTIONS: CANDY STRIPER (1), CORVETTE JOE (3) SUBTLE CHAY (6), WHISKY BANDIT (2)
SUGGESTED BET: CANDY STRIPER (1) to win

RACE EIGHT

BELLA GODIVA (1)
started from gate 6 last start where she eased early to look for the short cuts up the inside. Making some late metres to grab 4th, she missed the chance to go leaders back two runs back. At her best against the poles, she looks to find the ideal set up to capitalise here.

GETALOADATHISBRO (7) was buried from this gate last start and was searching for gaps that did not materialise when within 5m of the winner. Trying to take them all the way the start prior when collared, he will be searching for the openings to issue the challenge.

CLARES FOOL (9) was back in winning form last start when taking control from gate 2 and pulling clear for the easiest of victories. Game in defeat two back when sitting parked, he is in the mix.

FEELING THE POWER (3) resumes from a spell after five placings in his previous six starts. A beaten fav last start when 6m from the winner in grabbing 3rd, he is a podium hope fresh up.

SELECTIONS: BELLA GODIVA (1), GETALOADATHISBRO (7), CLARES FOOL (9), FEELING THE POWER (3)
SUGGESTED BET:

RACE NINE

BETTOR KEEP ROCKING (7)
was first up from a trial embargo last time out and was forced to roll the sleeves and do it the tough way outside the leader. Fighting gamely to the wire to be under 2m from the winner, he lands the second line options and looks to have found the ideal conditions to end the win drought.

SUNNY COVE (4) resumes and should take great benefit from the time off and possibly some maturing in the break. Showing some ability but with a bit to learn during his last campaign, he was a winner at his third race appearance. Only a half-head away at his last start behind FAST TRACKER, he is in the mix.

KASE (5) caught the eye two back when shuffled back from inside the second line before attacking the line in nice order wide out. Midfield last start, conditions look suitable for this assignment.

DESTINY BLUES (3) opened her winning account three starts back when finding conditions to take them all the way. Not suited up in company in both wins since, she can chime in here.

SELECTIONS: BETTOR KEEP ROCKING (7), SUNNY COVE (4), KASE (5), DESTINY BLUES (3)
SUGGESTED BET: BETTOR KEEP ROCKING (7) to win

RACE TEN

STARS OF AMERICA (2)
eased from gate 6 to find the running line last start and was making some late metres to finish midfield behind SHORT LEG SUE. That was his first run back from a long break after being well beaten on both occasions. He finds the gate and set up to open the account.

POTTER (3) was also returning from a break in the same race last time out where he faced an inside second line gate but was soon angled into the running line to finish 13m from the winner and 2m in arrears of STARS OF AMERICA. He can take his shot in a wide open 2YO event.

MAJORMISS (1) has the gate to secure the right trip as she returns from a spell. Down the line in both career starts, she has trialled in readiness and finds the right field to earn a cheque.

SELECTIONS: STARS OF AMERICA (2), POTTER (3), MAJORMISS (1)
SUGGESTED BET:
