RACE ONE

His numbers have dropped away since his lone win here in late September but looking deeper, HESTON ZOOLANDER (3) has certainly had some circumstances and excuses account for the returns. Working hard last start over this trip, he can look for the front and the bounce back.

CHAL BE (10) will need to be working home around them at some stage which is far from ideal and will need some factors in his favour. Gate 7 was his undoing last start when eased and then trying to make a closing raid behind FAST TRACKER. Look for him joining in.

BLACKJACK BART (8) could not find position last start at Redcliffe and was forced to retreat and from the rear was then out of play. With an easy trip, he can be searching for openings and a placing.

KATACHA MAN (7) stuck to the inside last week when chasing home along the poles to grab 4tf in a peg heavy contest behind SOEXTRA. Only 3m from THE WEEKEND on Wed night, he can chime in.

SELECTIONS: HESTON ZOOLANDER (3), CHAL BE (10), BLACKJACK BART (8), KATACHA MAN (7)
SUGGESTED BET: HESTON ZOOLANDER (3) to win

RACE TWO

It might have looked ugly for STREITKID (1) last start at Redcliffe when beaten a pair of football fields after running one of, if not the fastest, opening quarters ever seen on The Triangle. But the beaten margin was due to a flat tyre and being eased up. He can gain redemption from the gate.

OUR MAJOR DAY (8) was a tough 3rd to BITCOIN two starts back at the mile when fighting hard after sitting parked in the run. That effort was franked when firing out from gate 4 in a midweeker, opening in sub 27 and keeping the speed on throughout for a smart victory. He will be stalking.

INFATUATION (9) has had four runs back form a spell and been bereft of luck since resuming. Caught wide two back, he was put out of play last start by a leader he released hoisting the white flag.

BOMBADIER JUJON (10) comes through the same INFATUATION race that was won by UNCLE SHANK where he too got caught up in the backwash. The pegs appeal in this contest.

SELECTIONS: STREITKID (1), OUR MAJOR DAY (8), INFATUATION (9), BOMBADIER JUJON (10)
SUGGESTED BET: Exotics 1-8-9-10

RACE THREE

Capitalising from the good alley two starts back when sent straight to the front, BITCOIN (11) was allowed to dictate and after a 31.6 second panel his stock skyrocketed as he finished them off with a 6m margin. Gate 7 was his undoing last start and despite this gate, the opposition and set up appeal.

COMMODORE JUJON (1) faced gate 7 last start in the Bill Dixon which was compounded by an error in the run to end his chances. Game when parked two starts back, he has the versatility and from this gate can secure the economical trip in readiness to make the closing challenge.

LE TISSIER (2) was snookered on the poles from inside the second line at Redcliffe last start when 6m in arrears of the winner THE SHADY ONE. Settling closer to the action will be more beneficial here.

THE SHADY ONE (9) eased to the poles two starts back and was best of the chasing pack behind the in-form and subsequent winner SOEXTRA. Benefitting from a slick tempo last start, he has claims.

SELECTIONS: BITCOIN (11), COMMODORE JUJON (1), LE TISSIER (2), THE SHADY ONE (9)
SUGGESTED BET: COMMODORE JUJON (1) 1x5 win/place

RACE FOUR

Winning his qualifier here six starts back, the efforts in the five runs since by SCOTCH EN ICE (4) have been full of merit. Grabbing the silver three back behind BOMBADIER JUJON, he has been faced with gate 6 at his past two, the latest when hitting the line in smart fashion. He can take control of this.

OHOKA JIMMY (1) tackled the Bill Dixon last start and after easing from gate 5, was out of the pack and strong to the line when just 3m from the winner. Luckless at Redcliffe two starts back, it followed three successive runs when finishing with the silver. He has the options to throw it down.

COURAGEOUS SAINT (9) has been runner-up at his past two, the latest here on Tuesday when out of the pack and chasing to the wire wide off the track behind KEY LARGO. He can chime in again.

MUCH BETTOR (10) was locked away against the poles last start and talking the short cuts grabbed the bronze behind ASHARK, At his best off a cheap run, he can be probing for the openings.

SELECTIONS: SCOTCH EN ICE (4), OHOKA JIMMY (1), COURAGEOUS SAINT (9), MUCH BETTOR (10)
SUGGESTED BET: SCOTCH EN ICE (4) to win

RACE FIVE

Making the most of the gate to take control here three starts back, COPPERFIELD (6) was untroubled in front in taking a 4m margin. Placed in both runs since when working home wide off the track, the latest of those a smart effort when just a neck away. This looks well within reach.

KARLOO BRADLEY (4) showed early hustle four runs back at his first Qld appearance before releasing and holding 2nd behind the flying SOEXTRA. Runner-up to that same winner here last week when trailing from gate 8, he can fire the early bullets here to issue the challenge.

CAMROLLER (1) was a winner here five runs back from this gate at this trip after taking the trail. Taking Them all the way at Redcliffe three back, he has the options to make a play.

MISTY CREEK (9) moves inside the second line with the early scratching and from there should secure the economical trip to join in after a pair of handy efforts in 3YO company.

SELECTIONS: COPPERFIELD (6), KARLOO BRADLEY (4), CAMROLLER (1), MISTY CREEK (9)
SUGGESTED BET: COPPERFIELD (6) to win

RACE SIX

Fitter following her latest appearance here last week, LADY AVANA (1) has had her runs spaced and was a qualifying winner against the boys here three back when leading throughout from this gate at the middle trip. 3rd midweek behind ANIMADO, back to mares only from this gate is a huge plus.

GIRL FROM OZ (9) has faced the second line at her past two yet has been strong to the line in both of those. Two back in the NSW Breeders Final, she was just too far back as TAY TAY closed it out in an eye-watering sub 26 closing panel. With the right trail through, she can make a challenge.

CALA JANE (4) found conditions to score an overdue breakthrough in a qualifier three runs back. Super against the open mares at her past two, she was sectionally superb last start and is right in this.

SARAH ANNE (7) was first up in Qld last week when tackling the Forever Gold Mare’s contest where she finished midfield behind SPEED DATING. Transferred to the Butler stable, the gate stings here.

SELECTIONS: LADY AVANA (1), GIRL FROM OZ (9), CALA JANE (4), SARAH ANNE (7)
SUGGESTED BET:

RACE SEVEN

Gates have not been particularly kind to A WHOLE LOTTA ROSIE (7) in recent starts and she lands another tough alley but might just find this a shade easier than her past few. Chasing behind MISS SERENA last week, she chased gamely behind MAYWYN TROUBADOR the start prior. Despite the gate you could say she’s got it all.

BELLA BRONSKI (5) has been in consistent touch and after placing in four successive starts took her opportunity in front to take them all the way at Redcliffe last time out. Putting them away in fine style to pull clear to a 16m margin, if she can touch down in front, she will throw down a challenge.

SHEZ GOT BLING (2) has placed in 3 of her past 4 starts, the latest when making some nice metres over the latter stages for 3rd behind FORGIVE ME. Settling handy can see her grab a minor.

MISS MIA (8) worked forward from gate 3 at Redcliffe last start and from the front finished them off with a 6m margin. Likely to be snookered, she will be probing for openings to make a play.

SELECTIONS: A WHOLE LOTTA ROSIE (7), BELLA BRONSKI (5), SHEZ GOT BLING (2), MISS MIA (8)
SUGGESTED BET: A WHOLE LOTTA ROSIE (7) to win

RACE EIGHT

First up in Qld and bringing 8 Victorian victories to her name OKINAWA BEACH (5) has placed in 3 of her past 5, the latest when 2m off the winner in a strong closing half at Swan Hill. A tough Bendigo winner six starts back, she might have to do it kamikaze style first over but looks up to the task.

DANCINTOTHEBEAT (1) loves a peg line trip and comes up with the ideal alley to match that pattern. Snagged back from gate 6 last week to find the inside, she was then hitting the line in smart fashion for the bronze behind MISS SERENA. Stalking the speed, she will have the dancing shoes ready.

MARIANNA BROMAC (3) makes her first appearance at HQ since being with the Butler stable, where she has had 8 outings on The Triangle, returning a win and four minors. With early speed, she will be in the mix.

MAJIC MOMENT (7) has no favours from the outside paint but her effort in last week’s 3YO fillies feature was eye-catching when running UPTOWN BEACHGIRL to an eyelash. She can chime in.

SELECTIONS: OKINAWA BEACH (5), DANCINTOTHEBEAT (1), MARIANNA BROMAC (3), MAJIC MOMENT (7)
SUGGESTED BET: OKINAWA BEACH (5) to win

RACE NINE

Returning from an NSW campaign to re-join the Turpin stable MAJESTIC SIMON (9) has been running some handy races on the big Menangle deck. Settled a long way back from the 20m tape last start, three runs back he was 3rd when 3m from CALIGULA. Fresh since his last run, he can return in style.

ZEALOUS SPUR (2) franked his effort two starts back where he was charging home wide off the track to grab 4th, with an all the way effort over the 13 furlongs on Tuesday. Despite being keen to get on with it before the tapes released, he stepped and drove through and took them all the way.

SUGARINSPICE (5) found the front before releasing to the winner MAJESTIC HARRY from the mobile last week, running him to a half-head. Losing it with a home bend error two back, she looms large.

HUMBLE LADD (6) made a mess of it from the mobile last week, ending his chances. Fading after a tough trip two back, a return to stand start conditions look in his favour.

SELECTIONS: MAJESTIC SIMON (9), ZEALOUS SPUR (2), SUGARINSPICE (5), HUMBLE LADD (6)
SUGGESTED BET: MAJESTIC SIMON (9) to win

RACE TEN

Owning the fastest last 800 of the night last week, BIG WHEELS (2) was super working home wide off the track when 9m in arrears of MACH DA VINCI, with the sub-55, 27 double. Barriers have been against him in recent starts, yet his returns have been super and with the improved gate, he can graduate with his first win in FFA company.

NORTHVIEW HUSTLER (6) was first up off a freshen last week when drawn wide on the second line. With the race controlled from the front, he was making some nice metres wide off the track to finish midfield. Just a half-head away behind CRUZ BROMAC two back, the small field suits.

WILL THE WIZARD (5) stuck to the inside from gate 8 in the Qld Cup last week and was able to dart through for the bronze behind MACH DA VINCI. 5m from BLACKSADANCE the week prior also from the poles, he can feature again.

SELECTIONS: BIG WHEELS (2), NORTHVIEW HUSTLER (6), WILL THE WIZARD (5)
SUGGESTED BET: BIG WHEELS (2) to win
