RACE ONE

Placed at her past three in succession, the set up looks right for SKYLAR BREE (2) to open her account in this battle. Holding on for 2nd behind the smart BOLD MEDLEY JUJON last week, it followed a neck 2nd when rattling home two back. From the gate she gets every chance.

POTTER (5) has finished in 3rd at his past three in succession, the latest when asked to hang tough first over from gate 5 at Redcliffe. Making an error here two starts back when 5m in arrears of the winner GIRL FROM ROSEDALE, he strikes the right conditions to issue a challenge.

TIN AMBER MINE (8) has the second line options as the lone second line runner and comes into this off a second up 3rd when chasing behind LUCKY JIM. With the economical trip, he can be chiming in.

SHOOBEE RIGHT (1) faced gate 5 last time out and struck trouble in the run that saw him finish a long way from the winner. With the best gate in his career to date, the economic trip can help.

SELECTIONS: SKYLAR BREE (2), POTTER (5), TIN AMBER MINE (8), SHOOBEE RIGHT (1)
SUGGESTED BET: SKYLAR BREE (2) to win

RACE TWO

This looks a trot race where the bigger players will be coming off the handicaps so luck and negotiating traffic will be part of the battler. SHEGOTSASS (8) will strip fitter from her last start where she was second up at Marburg. Normally safe from the tapes, she is up to the task.

MONARO MAKO (5) has been to the track four times since arriving in Brisbane where he has yet to hit the board. Stepping to the front and setting the tempo last start, he could not see it out as RIGONDEAUX took the prize. Back to this grade of contest can see him throw it down.

JACCKA WATCH (11) overcame the 40m impost last start when charging home over the top to claim a 10m margin. He moves back to 50m with more traffic makes it a tougher ask.

HAMMER SON (7) is racing in nice touch and added another minor to the tally last start when grabbing the bronze under mobile conditions. With the right trip he can feature again here.

SELECTIONS: SHEGOTSASS (8), MONARO MAKO (5), JACCKA WATCH (11), HAMMER SON (7)
SUGGESTED BET:

RACE THREE

A strong first up effort in a Saturday night mare’s contest might be the right type of form for OKINAWA BEACH (7) to overcome the wide gate. Sent to sit parked in that contest outside subsequent winner MAJIC MOMENT, the effort suggested this is well within reach.

MELTON INSULTED (2) has the early hustle to look for the poles which can see her in the right position to issue a challenge. Her record here on the big deck is not overly impressive at 1 from 24, but the gate is a huge asset for her to stake the claim.

PEPPA BLISS (8) had gate 1 last start where she had the trail on SHEZA BONNY SHEILA and held on for 3rd, beaten 3m. Needing some space, she can be making a closing raid if the gaps open.

BLUE SHARD (5) settled back in the running line last time out from a second line gate and was making some nice metres when finishing 6m from the winner MELTON BEACH. He can be joining in.

SELECTIONS: OKINAWA BEACH (7), MELTON INSULTED (2), PEPPA BLISS (8), BLUE SHARD (5)
SUGGESTED BET: OKINAWA BEACH (7) to win

RACE FOUR

This race looks wide open and a number of chances with all bar one runner unable to bring winning form in their past five attempts. CHANCELESS CENTURY (6) has been runner-up in 2 of his past 3, the latest up the passing lane when beaten a head. Despite the wide gate, he might just pinch this.

ITS SUPER EASY (3) has joined the Cristina Monte stable after struggling to show his best. At the rear of the field in his past five in succession, digging a little deeper into his numbers will show that his past six have all been from wide or second line gates. An improved alley can see him change it up.

DEVOUGED (5) has been campaigning at Redcliffe in recent starts and made a costly error last start that saw him out of play. Just a half-head away three starts back, he is a podium hope in this.

STUDLEIGH SONNY (9) was beaten by the wide second line at Marburg last time out. Making some nice metres here two back when 6m from STRONG RESPONSE, he has claims in this open affair.

SELECTIONS: CHANCELESS CENTURY (6), ITS SUPER EASY (3), DEVOUGED (5), STUDLEIGH SONNY (9)
SUGGESTED BET:

RACE FIVE

SHEZA BONNY SHEILA (1)
will be out to remain undefeated since resuming from a spell after a first up Redcliffe win was followed with a win here at the mile. Taking them all the way with that win after pinching a second panel breather, she has all the options here to chase the threepeat.

BETTERTHANAROCKET (7) has no favours from the wide gate but will have garnered confidence from his win here last week when darting up the passing lane to grab the cash. That was his first win since arriving in Qld where he has had to step up against experienced campaigners.

BETTOR ROMANCE (3) will take benefit from her latest outing where she was second up from a spell. Eased to the poles over the 2138m trip, she was midfield and is a podium hope at the mile.

MOSSDALE MAC (9) sat in the pocket trail last start at the 2138m and battled away to grab 2nd behind the impressive MIDNIGHT CALM. Trailing through early can see him feature.

SELECTIONS: SHEZA BONNY SHEILA (1), BETTERTHANAROCKET (7), BETTOR ROMANCE (3), MOSSDALE MAC (9)
SUGGESTED BET:

RACE SIX

Chalking up another victory here last week, SPEED DATING (5) is on a hot streak and after defying gate 7 to sit parked and score in smart order last week, can look for a repeat. Allowed to balance up before pushing forward after a sub 27 opener last time, she was too classy and can prove so again.

MIDNIGHT CALM (1) is just a half-neck off having 3 wins since joining the Matt Elkins stable, with a pair of wins sandwiching a defeat by that margin. The run of the race in defeat, he monstered them last week when set alight at the 600 and claiming an 11m victory. He has the gate to throw it down.

CAPTAINS PICK (8) will take benefit from his latest outing where he was first up from a spell in finishing 5m in arrears of the winner. With the cheap fence trip, he can be joining in.

MUMMYS BOY (3) was runner-up to HEAVEN IN LOCKSLEY last start after easing away from the inside to find the running line. He can fire some early bullets from this gate to feature.

SELECTIONS: SPEED DATING (5), MIDNIGHT CALM (1), CAPTAINS PICK (8), MUMMYS BOY (3)
SUGGESTED BET:  Exotics 1-5 / 1-5 / 2-3-8-9

RACE SEVEN

Beaten by the outside second line at Redcliffe last start, JET FORCE (1) should appreciate the improved gate here to make his play. Sent out fav from this gate over this trip two back when buried in the run and finishing midfield, he can be closer to the action to make the closing raid.

LOOKS JUST RIGHT (4) was runner-up here four starts back when looking to lead throughout from gate 3 but collared in the closing strides to be within a neck of the winner. Cashing in at his next appearance and then placed in both since, he can press forward to issue the challenge.

BRAEVIEW FELLA (8) will be searching for some openings from this alley to make a play. Only 3m away last week after setting the speed over the 2138m trip, he will be ready to chime in.

LUCKY JIM (2) finally found the conditions to open the win account last start when pressing forward to take them all the way. He steps up against older horses but can get forward to feature.

SELECTIONS: JET FORCE (1), LOOKS JUST RIGHT (4), BRAEVIEW FELLA (8), LUCKY JIM (2)
SUGGESTED BET:

RACE EIGHT

Taken off the arm from this gate two starts back CAPTAIN BRAVEHEART (7) was never in the mix thereafter but did earn reinstatement to the draw and a start in a Marburg event. A starting error in that ended his chances and earns the ODM embargo back on his name, but he finds the right race to get forward and capitalise.

MY ULTIMATE VICTOR (8) was the winner in the race where CAPTAIN BRAVEHEART went back at the start after he was able to burrow through from gate 1 to take them all the way. Midfield behind the flying MIDNIGHT CALM last start, he looks set to be buried here and will be searching for open road.

STOKER ACE (10) did some early work last time out to secure position before finishing 10m from the winner BETTERTHANAROCKET. Luckless two starts back, he can be making a closing raid.

EUGENIEN (1) has been kept fresh since her last appearance at Redcliffe where she faded late after sitting parked. 8m from the winner two back, she has the gate to settle handy enough to chime in.

SELECTIONS: CAPTAIN BRAVEHEART (7), MY ULTIMATE VICTOR (8), STOKER ACE (10), EUGENIEN (1)
SUGGESTED BET: CAPTAIN BRAVEHEART (7) to win

RACE NINE

A return to veteran’s company looks the right set up for SAM IS PERFECTION (12) to bounce back into winning form. Eased to the poles in a small FFA last start where a 26.3 closer in front put it way out of reach, his 5th to MACH DA VINCI in the Qld Cup had merit. Despite the gate he is up to the task.

SWAGGIE SHANNON (1) was too far back last time over the mile and could not get warm over the closing stages in finishing 8m from the winner. Tackling the Be Good Johnny and the Queensland Cup in his previous two starts, he can look for a cart into the contest to throw down a challenge.

MARETTI (5) ended his winless season here last week after taking the trail at the mile and then charging home down the stretch to claim the prize. Runner-up three back, he is a place hope again.

ROLL ONE OVER (3) ran home in some slick individual splits two starts back from deep in the pack in a Saturday night event. Franking that effort with a win here last week, he is a podium hope in this.

SELECTIONS: SAM IS PERFECTION (12), SWAGGIE SHANNON (1), MARETTI (5), ROLL ONE OVER (3)
SUGGESTED BET: SAM IS PERFECTION (12) to win
