RACE ONE

LETS BLAZE (3) started from inside the second line last start and was soon hemmed away and needing some favours. Finishing 3m from the winner, that margin could have been less if the gaps arrived when needed. With his best gate since winning here four starts back, he gets his chance.

AMERICAN FLYER (1) comes up with an improved gate after snagging back from outside the front-line last start. Forget her run two back where she was put out of play, although she has been without a win for a while, she lands all the favours to turn that around here.

NO DOUBT (5) has been in consistent touch, hitting the board at h is past four in succession which includes a passing lane win three runs back. The wider gate dents the chances, but he can chime in.

COURAGEOUS SAM (7) had the speed to lead from gate 2 last start and once in control was able to see it out and claim his 7th win on this deck, 6 of those coming this season. He will be probing.

SELECTIONS: LETS BLAZE (3), AMERICAN FLYER (1), NO DOUBT (5), COURAGEOUS SAM (7)
SUGGESTED BET: LETS BLAZE (3) to win

RACE TWO

JOHNROD (8) has had a super season, claiming 9 of his 13 career victories here at Redcliffe this term. The last of those was back in August, but he looks to have found his way back to the right type of opposition to graft out another one. Runner-up to LUXURY LAD three back, he is up to this.

TRACER BULLET (3) faced gate 6 last start over this trip and after settling in the running line was hitting the line in nice order when under 2m from the winner in a blanket finish. Tackling a tougher contest at headquarters two starts back, this looks suitable for him to challenge.

PURPLE SHADES (5) receives no favours gate 5, but he has been running nice races from tough gates recently. Charging home to be a half-head away three back, he is in the mix against this line up.

BUKTHSYSTEM (2) eased out to the rear from gate 5 last start and made some nice metres in the latter stages to finish 6m in arrears of the winner. Settling closer to the action can aid his chances.

SELECTIONS: JOHNROD (8), TRACER BULLET (3), PURPLE SHADES (5), BUKTHSYSTEM (2)
SUGGESTED BET: JOHNROD (8) to win

RACE FOUR

SIGNOR JUJON (6) was staring down a hat-trick last start but ended his hopes of the threepeat when striking trouble and going off-stride. Overcoming this gate two starts back when charging home over the top of them, he can ease early and with the right tempo look to make the closing shot a winner.

GO JO JOLT (4) sat rearward from gate 5 here two starts back and when presented had the closing speed to descend on them and score a narrow victory. Sent to sit parked last start from gate 5, she was grinding it out in finishing just a half-neck away. This is within reach with the right trip.

ILLAWONG DREAMTIME (8) led them up last start at the sprint trip and after a steady time in front, was grabbed in the stretch. A passing lane winner two back, he is right in the fight.

GULMARG (1) has placed in all three starts since linking with Jonah Hutchinson, the latest when runner-up to WONDERWOMAN JUJON. The gate helps offset the class of opposition he meets.

SELECTIONS: SIGNOR JUJON (6), GO JO JOLT (4), ILLAWONG DREAMTIME (8), GULMARG (1)
SUGGESTED BET: SIGNOR JUJON (6) to win

RACE FOUR

CHEETAH LODGE (9) was super impressive first up in Qld when overcoming a wide front-line gate, sitting parked and pulling away for a 10m margin in sharp time. Unable to replicate that second up at the 2040m trip, he gets back to the mile which can be the catalyst for a sharper performance.

MARIANNA BROMAC (7) had the required speed to find the poles last start before releasing for the trail. Making the closing raid, she came up a half-head short of the winner. Strong to the line two starts back when 5m away, she will be probing for the openings to issue the challenge.

VODKA EN ICE (1) took full advantage of this gate last week, protecting the inside and taking them all the way for an effortless victory. He steps back up in grade but will be assisted by the alley.

ALLAMBIE (3) started from outside the second line last time out and was trying to make a wide and searching run but could not get into the battle. Placed her previous three, she has claims.

SELECTIONS: CHEETAH LODGE (9), MARIANNA BROMAC (7), VODKA EN ICE (1), ALLAMBIE (3)
SUGGESTED BET: CHEETAH LODGE (9) to win

RACE FIVE

Three heats for this Final were held on Melbourne Cup Day, bringing together a handy line up. BELLA BRONSKI (1) started from inside the second line in her heat and after being snookered three back, made good closing metres to be 1m away. Placed in all three prior appearances, she lands the chance to dictate.

GABBYS IDEAL (2) speared out from gate 4 to lead up her heat and from the front was trying to repel the challengers when 3m from the winner JET FORCE. Runner-up in a mare’s qualifier two starts back from the trail, she can be handy to the action to throw down the challenge.

PRESS STATEMENT (3) was slammed with gate 6 in his heat and was taken back off the arm to settle at the rear. Set free in the latter stages, he rounded them up and pulled clear to a big 9m margin and is right in the fight.

JET FORCE (9) had the early hustle to find the poles before releasing for the trail. With the easy trip thereafter, he had the closing speed to arrive for a 3m margin. The outside back line dents his hopes.

SELECTIONS: BELLA BRONSKI (1), GABBYS IDEAL (2), PRESS STATEMENT (3), JET FORCE (9)
SUGGESTED BET: BELLA BRONSKI (1) to win

RACE SIX

STUDLEIGH PATRICIA (6)
caught the eye on debut after making an error before resetting to chase for a midfield finish. Game second up in grabbing the bronze, she put it all together last start when charging home over the top to score. Added experience aids her chances of repeating the victory.

SHEZA BONNIE SHEILA (4) was last seen in the 2yo Triad Final of 2020 where she finished down the line behind JASPER after striking trouble. A winner of the Changeover Classic that season, she has returned two smart preparatory trials. Race fitness looks her major opponent.

BIDDADDABA BOY (7) looks set to be buried in the run and might just be searching for a way off the poles. Claiming the maiden breaker two back, he looked to have plenty to offer last start when making an error.

AKERMANIS (9) eased to the poles last start and chase home behind a pair of handy 2YO’s FREE THINKER and QUEENSLANDER. Breaking through here three starts back, he can be chiming in.

SELECTIONS: STUDLEIGH PATRICIA (6), SHEZA BONNIE SHEILA (4), BIDDADDABA BOY (7), AKERMANIS (9)
SUGGESTED BET:

RACE SEVEN

DELIGHT OF RANI (6)
was having her first race start in three years here last week when heavily supported to be sent to the post in red figures. Forced to hang tough when parked, she was game to the wire, fighting hard to be under 4m from the winner. Taking plenty from that, she can convert.

GHOST TRAIN (3) settled in the running line from gate 8 two starts back and did not have the smoothest passage when grabbing the bronze behind CORVETTE JOE. Snookered from inside the second line last start, he can fire some early bullets here to take his chance.

STAR OF THE ARTS (5) started from the inside gate last start and with the cosy trip in behind the speed was able to dart along the passing lane for the silver. The wider gate stings this time.

VILLAGE SMIRKER (8) was best of the rest when chasing for the silver behind AUGUSTA HANOVER here two starts back and followed that with an unplaced effort last time. He can land a minor.

SELECTIONS: DELIGHT OF RANI (6), GHOST TRAIN (3), STAR OF THE ARTS (5), VILLAGE SMIRKER (8)
SUGGESTED BET: DELIGHT OF RANI (6) to win

RACE EIGHT

LURKING (2)
was first up in Qld two starts back when sitting parked from this same gate and grinding out the silver when 1m astern of THE MACH ARMY. Chasing home the same winner again second up from the pocket trail, he looks to get his chance to be handy to the speed and stake his claim.

EASTBRO TEX (1) has led in 3 of his 4 starts in Qld and been in the pocket trail in the other. With the opportunity to win in each of those contests, he has come up short on each occasion. After an opening half of 63 in front last week, he could not see it out but again gets the gate to challenge.

JAMAICAN RESORT (8) was asked to hang tough in the breeze last start, but still proved too strong when pulling clear to claim a 9m margin. The second line makes it tougher, but he is in the mix.

BERTILS FIREFOX (4) was taken off the arm last start from gate 4 and then never really looked likely over the closing stages but was still just 5m in arrears. A winner three back, he has podium claims.

SELECTIONS: LURKING (2), EASTBRO TEX (1), JAMAICAN RESORT (8), BERTILS FIREFOX (4)
SUGGESTED BET: LURKING (2) to win

RACE NINE

BEEF CITY STARZZZ (1)
started form inside the second line at The Creek last start where he secured the pocket trail and was trying to make a closing challenge, finishing 3m adrift of the winner to hold 2nd. He lands all the options from this gate to recapture some winning form.

THE MACH ARMY (5) has hit his straps since arriving in Qld, with 3 wins and a pair of 2nds from his past five appearances. Chasing down a hat-trick here after a pair of dictating wins from gate 3, he can look to get across them again from this alley to throw it down in search of the threepeat.

DATSINAHURRI (4) has been without a win since April but might be moving closer to claiming her 10th career victory after placing at her past two. Runner-up over the 2040m last start, she can chime in.

FEELING THE POWER (6) has no favours from the outside alley here second up from a spell. Fading out after a tough trip when resuming, limiting the workload will be key to his podium chances.

SELECTIONS: BEEF CITY STARZZZ (1), THE MACH ARMY (5), DATSINAHURRI (4), FEELING THE POWER (6)
SUGGESTED BET: BEEF CITY STARZZZ (1) to win

RACE TEN

THREE PARTS GREY (2)
was making her debut here last time out when obliged to do it the tough way outside the leader. Feeling the pinch in the closing stages as GO THE RED arrived, she can take good benefit from the experience to make her play for an account opener.

SHOOBEE RIGHT (9) is a Shoobees Place gelding on debut for Wayne Graham that earned his race ticket with a tidy effort behind experienced performers at the AP trials. Out of the 14-win mare Goldplay, he stays under notice first up.

MAJORMISS (4) has been runner-up in both runs since resuming from a break and starting her second campaign. Chasing home from inside the second line at Marburg last start, she can chime in again.

MORETTA (8) has placed in 4 of her 10 career starts as she continues to chase the elusive maiden breaking win. Runner-up to FREE THINKER two starts back, she was 3rd to SPORTING LEGEND last start and has claims.

SELECTIONS: THREE PARTS GREY (2), SHOOBEE RIGHT (9), MAJORMISS (4), MORETTA (8)
SUGGESTED BET:
