RACE ONE

After three runs back from a spell, the wide gate makes the task tougher for STRONG RESPONSE (6), but he might just be going well enough to capitalise here. A winner first up from a spell over this trip, he then faded after doing it tough way parked second up. 6m away last start, this is within reach.

MISTER DIAMOND (1) may not have the greatest numbers next to his name and presents on a win drought, but the improved gate is a huge asset. With the availing options, he can be sharper than his last start when down the line from outside the second line. The right trip can see him challenge.

SMOOTH CASH (3) is a big query at the trip but if able to see it out, his chances would certainly rise. Only 2m away after being snookered last start, limiting the early burn will be vital to his chances.

FLIGHT CREW (4) was resuming from a spell last start when looking for an all the way victory, holding on for the bronze behind the flying MIDNIGHT CALM. With added fitness, she can feature.

SELECTIONS: STRONG RESPONSE (6), MISTER DIAMOND (1), SMOOTH CASH (3), FLIGHT CREW (4)
SUGGESTED BET: STRONG RESPONSE (6) to win

In a tricky little contest where the early mapping looks debatable, PEPPA BLISS (5) will be hoping to lob a spot without too much expense. Buried in the run from inside the second line last start before making some nice closing metres behind MELTON INSULTED, she finds a winnable contest.

MELTON BEACH (8) was a winner from this same gate two starts back when resuming from a spell over the 2138m trip, forcing clear and rattling home to take the prize. Striking trouble last start when second up and losing all chance after starting from outside the front line, he can bounce back.

LORD OF MISRULE (4) gives away plenty of race experience to his rivals here, still a maiden with just four career starts. Joining the Butler stable after Bathurst placings at his past two, he is a podium hope.

MELTON INSULTED (1) made the most of conditions when finding the front here two starts back and once in control was able to take them all the way for a career PB. The gate is a big asset here.

Striking trouble last start from this same gate, ACE LOMBO (5) was unable to complete the course following an issue with his wheel. Making a closing raid to get within a neck of the winner two starts back, if he manages to do everything right, he can capitalise.

VOODOO FELLA (1) can look to make full advantage of this gate, which is his best marble for some time. Pressing on to take control at Marburg last start, he has been forced to make his runs from back in the pack in recent times. With the economical trip, he can challenge.

ONLY ONE DON (10) was a winner here four starts back when firing out to take them all the way. Midfield in all three since where he has been off the second line in each, he can chime in again.

JET FORCE (3) looked to have found favourable conditions two starts back but missed the money over this trip. Forcing clear to arrive for the prize at Marburg last start, he can be chiming in here.

Faced with the 20m impost last start, ZEALOUS SPUR (9) was trying to wind up over the closing stages in a slogging finish but had to settle for a 6m deficit behind EYRE I GO. Just a head off the winner in open company two starts back, he can follow through here to take his chance.

EYRE I GO (5) has had problems with the standing start release method in recent times but was able to overcome the issue last start when stepping safely and then forcing the issue to take control and lead throughout. A return to mobile conditions looks favourable and he will be throwing it down.

KAR MANOR (3) is another that should appreciate a return to mobile conditions. 3rd to LEESA CASTLETON here two back from the 10m tape, he is in the mix here.

KENNY KEKO (8) has been super consistent and added another minor to the tally last start to make it 11 from 13 on this deck where she has been in the money. Likely to be buried, she will be probing.

SELECTIONS: ZEALOUS SPUR (9), EYRE I GO (5), KAR MANOR (3), KENNY KEKO (8)
SUGGESTED BET: ZEALOUS SPUR (9) to win

A second line gate was a bridge too far for JUDGE JUJON (3) last start when finishing out of the money behind the undefeated EXCITING TIMES. Making a closing raid form the pocket trail to get within a half-head of the winner STUDLEIGH MARK two starts back, this looks his race to lose.

GABBYS IDEAL (2) has been chipping away in recent attempts, placing in 4 of her past 5. Chasing home from the second line last time out when 3rd to the smart 2YO ARKIN WICKED, it followed a half-neck deficit behind the winner GOSLING IN FLIGHT. From the gate she can challenge.

HOLDINGNO CURRENCY (1) was making some nice closing metres last start to grab the bronze behind EXCITING TIMES. With an economical trip, he will be probing.

STUDLEIGH SONNY (7) has been runner-up at his past two starts but is afforded no favours here from outside the front line. Wide off the track at Marburg last start, he can join in here.

SELECTIONS: JUDGE JUJON (3), GABBYS IDEAL (2), HOLDINGNO CURRENCY (1), STUDLEIGH SONNY (7)
SUGGESTED BET: JUDGE JUJON (3) to win

RACE SIX

Buried away at Marburg last start, JUST ONE GOOD ONE (1) was able to find the space to get out and get within 7m of the winner to grab 3rd. A Redcliffe winner four starts back, he has enough early hustle to avail the options and capitalise in this set up.

HIT THE TRACK (3) found the front and then after being crossed made the retake and then was fighting hard into the stretch when claiming the silver. He can get forward again here from this gate and up close to the action make a challenge.

MYSTICAL JAZZ (9) has only ventured to town once, with most of her recent appearances all on the Peninsula. Striking trouble last start, she can get the right trail here to turn her numbers around.

LOOKS JUST RIGHT (7) cops the wide gate after making a starting error last start that ended his chances. Hitting the board his previous five in succession which included a win, he is a place hope.

SELECTIONS: JUST ONE GOOD ONE (1), HIT THE TRACK (3), MYSTICAL JAZZ (9), LOOKS JUST RIGHT (7)
SUGGESTED BET:  JUST ONE GOOD ONE (1) to win

RACE SEVEN

absolutely airborne since arriving in Qld, MIDNIGHT CALM (3) is chasing down a hat-trick of victories and is only a half-neck off being undefeated in four starts here at The Creek. Taking them all the way over the mile last start, his win off the second line two back was large. He should be too good.

BETTORS HOPE (6) was beaten by a wide gate and the tempo two starts back in a qualifier taken by a dictating COPPERFIELD. His chances ended before they started last time out when failing to get into position behind the start car. If the manners return, he looks the best of the chasers.

SPEAK WITH SAM (8) comes up with the second line options here as the lone runner out the back. A winner from the pocket trail up the passing lane here three back, he can be making a closing raid.

MONGOLIAN CONQUEROR (1) was finding the line in nice order last start at Marburg when finishing 5m from the winner. With all the options from the ace, he is a podium player.

SELECTIONS: MIDNIGHT CALM (3), BETTORS HOPE (6), SPEAK WITH SAM (8), MONGOLIAN CONQUEROR (1)
SUGGESTED BET: Exotics 3 / 1-6-8

RACE EIGHT

Doing most of his recent racing on The Triangle, stepping out on the big deck might help MAJOR TRALEE (4) capitalise in what is a wide-open contest. Striking trouble last start from the second line over the 2040m, the effort thereafter had merit. With the right trip, he is up to this.

ISNTTHATRIGHT (7) is afforded no favours from outside the front line as he looks to continue his consistency since arriving in Qld. Runner-up in his first two appearances, he went one better last start when powering home over the top to score. Despite the gate he can challenge once again.

SONNY ORLANDO (9) eased to find position from gate 4 last time but could not go with them over the latter stages as CLARES FOOL took them all the way. A beaten fav two back, he is a place chance.

HANDSOME HARRY (5) tried to take them all the way here five starts back when finishing with the bronze, 5m away. Racing at Redcliffe in all four since, a return to the big deck in this grade helps.

SELECTIONS: MAJOR TRALEE (4), ISNTTHATRIGHT (7), SONNY ORLANDO (9), HANDSOME HARRY (5)
SUGGESTED BET:

RACE NINE

Placed at his first race appearance when just 3m from the winner, BORELLA (2) was a stylish winner second up from gate 5 when sent to the front and ripping home in 27.1 to open his account. Given a let up, he returned last start from inside the second line and back to the front, looks too classy.

SWOOPING EAGLE (3) was a smart winner on debut at Redcliffe when overcoming the outside gate and pulling clear to claim an 11m margin. Making an error second up, he was game last start when sitting parked and gripping on for 3rd and can look to challenge here.

MISTER DOMINGO (4) from a spell after finishing down the line last start in the Triad Final behind FOR REAL LIFE. Placed in a heat of that series behind FRANKIE FEROCIOUS, he can place fresh.

LUCKY JIM (6) finally broke through for his first career victory two starts back when forcing the issue from gate 4 and seeing it out. Collared late against the older horses last start, the gate stings here.

SELECTIONS: BORELLA (2), SWOOPING EAGLE (3), MISTER DOMINGO (4), LUCKY JIM (6)
SUGGESTED BET: BORELLA (2) to win

SUGGESTED BET: BORELLA (2) to win

RACE TEN

He may need some to take on some high-quality H2O overnight to maintain hydration after coming into this on the one-day back-up but THE WATERBOY (8) can look to bypass a grade. Down to start his Aus career with a victory on Thursday at Redcliffe, he has trialled well enough to suggest he can take this.

ENGLISH DANCE (4) should appreciate moving one gate closer to the action after his 6m margin behind SARASUN on Tuesday. Runner-up his previous two starts after returning from a spell, he can get close to the action and look to capitalise on the gate advantage over the main danger.

DOLLAR BUCKS (2) moves out to gate 7 after a starting error sees the ODM embargo placed against his name from Tuesday. Still able to grab the silver, he can chime in again here.

WHISKY BANDIT (1) has the benefit of the inside alley and with an economical trip can look to add a minor placing to his tally.

SELECTIONS: THE WATERBOY (8), ENGLISH DANCE (4), DOLLAR BUCKS (2), WHISKY BANDIT (1)
SUGGESTED BET: THE WATERBOY (8) to win
