RACE ONE

Hitting some tidy areas in recent weeks LUCKY NUTTER (1) lands the gate to make another step up against all comers after landing a mare’s victory last start. Powering over the top to score a 7m margin last week, she can get a trail on the speed and look to make the closing shot a winner.

BONNIE PRINCE LOUIS (2) was asked to roll the sleeves and do it the tough way last start from the chair where he was brave in defeat as SOEXTRA dominated in front. Collared in the last strides by BITCOIN over the mile two starts back, he can get to the front and be trying to repel the raiders.

COPPERFIELD (8) found the right conditions last start to take them all the way from gate 1 over the mile, running a slippery sub 55 closing in front. With the economical trip, he will be probing.

BITCOIN (10) ran some slick closing panels here last week against the FFA performers and then was on the three day back up when 3rd here on Tuesday. With the right tempo, he can feature.

SELECTIONS: LUCKY NUTTER (1), BONNIE PRINCE LOUIS (2), COPPERFIELD (8), BITCOIN (10)
SUGGESTED BET: Flexi trifecta 1-2 / 1-2-8 / 1-2-4-8-10-12

RACE TWO

With his blazing speed from behind the start car and a preference for the mile, KEY LARGO (5) looks to get the right conditions here to power up early and look to take them all the way. A second line gate over the 2138m did not help his cause last start and two back was only collared up the lane by INFATUATION.

INFATUATION (10) was staring down a hat-trick of victories last start when finishing 6m from the winner ROCK BOTTOM after being snookered in the run and then not getting any luck thereafter. Both previous wins came via the passing lane and with a solid tempo, he can again challenge.

MAKE MINE MEMPHIS (8) added another minor to the tally last start as he continues his consistent yet non-winning form. Placed his past five in succession, he can find the gaps to add another minor.

SOEXTRA (7) is chasing down the hat-trick after wins at the mile and then the 2138m here last week. Pressing on to take them all the way from gate 5 last time, the wide gate stings but he can feature.

SELECTIONS: KEY LARGO (5), INFATUATION (10), MAKE MINE MEMPHIS (8), SOEXTRA (7)
SUGGESTED BET: KEY LARGO (5) to win

RACE THREE

It is not an easy task to win from outside the second line, but this qualifier has many live chances and a few of these are questionable at the 2138m. JACKKA WALLY (12) made the most of the gate to dictate last start at Redcliffe and hold on in sharp time. The pattern will be different, but he can arrive in an open affair.

ISOLATION (3) started from the second line last start and could not get warm over the latter stages as GOELITZ claimed the prize. Finding the line in nice order two starts back behind THERESACHANCE, he will not be bothered by the middle trip and can throw it down.

KATACHA MAN (5) started from the ace last start and was searching for the gaps along the inside when 8m in arrears of the winner. He might need to work at some stage here but looks up to it.

WHATABOYJACK (1) had this gate last start when finishing midfield to BETTERTHANAROCKET. Second up from a spell, he will be tightened and has the options to grab a placing in this.

SELECTIONS: JACKKA WALLY (12), ISOLATION (3), KATACHA MAN (5), WHATABOYJACK (1)
SUGGESTED BET:

RACE FOUR

A capacity field trot over the 2647m and it looks a wide-open battle. In some nice form at present, if the gaps open, KINGDOM COME (10) can be charging home to grab another trotting feature. A blow out winner five runs back, he took them all the way last start at the 2138m. He is up to it.

ZEALOUS SPUR (3) was a winner here five starts back when stepping cleanly and taking them all the way over this trip, pulling clear to post a 10m margin. A beaten fav in all four starts since that victory, he has been costly but if he gets it right here, can make amends for the disappointments.

GEE UP NEDDY (11) is always thereabouts and will have no issues running out a strong 13 furlongs. Grabbing the bronze at his past two starts, an early forward move could be the play here.

MAJESTIC SIMON (14) looked like he was going to cruise by here two starts back but had to settle for a neck 3rd. Too far back last start, can he regather some past glory to overcome the back mark?

SELECTIONS: KINGDOM COME (10), ZEALOUS SPUR (3), GEE UP NEDDY (11), MAJESTIC SIMON (14)
SUGGESTED BET: KINGDOM COME (10) to win

RACE FIVE

Having her first start back in Qld of the new barn last time out, MISDEMEANOR (3) was unable to get across and after doing some early work found cover before being best of the chasers behind KANYE CRUSADER. Back to her own sex, she can dart off the arm and look to take them all the way.

DANCINTOTHEBEAT (1) finally broke through to claim a mare’s qualifier last start finishing best in the closing stages to take the victory. Just a neck away from the win three starts back, she secures an improved gate and comes up with all the options to make the step up in grade to challenge.

LADY AVANA (2) has been racing in great heart in recent weeks, highlighted by a gritty victory two starts back when sitting parked and grafting out the win. Grabbing 3rd last week, she is in the mix.

ONLY ONCE BITTEN (9) found the pocket trail from gate 2 last start where she was able to use the passing lane to get within a half-head of the winner. With the right trail she can be joining in again.

SELECTIONS: MISDEMEANOR (3), DANCINTOTHEBEAT (1), LADY AVANA (2), ONLY ONCE BITTEN (9)
SUGGESTED BET: MISDEMEANOR (3) to win

RACE SIX

KEAYANG MARVEN (1)
has been sectionally strong in recent weeks where not much has really been in his favour. With the best closing splits out of the race last week behind SOEXTRA when flashing home in the latter stages, his run from gate 10 three back was a nice effort. He can be coiled and ready to strike.

CONVAIR HUSTLER (3) has good early hustle and from this alley can look to get across to the poles. 7m from BETTOR JIGGLE last time out, he found the front from gate 4 over the Redcliffe 2040 two back when 8m form the winner in finishing midfield. He can look to fight them off.

HITTHEROADJACK (4) should find this an easier contest than his past few outings where he has met some stronger opposition. Too far back last start as ROCK BOTTOM dictated, he is a podium hope.

GLENEAGLE WARRIOR (9) was snookered last start from inside the second line and never in the mmix. Runner-up his previous two in succession, he can trail through to feature.

SELECTIONS: KEAYANG MARVEN (1), CONVAIR HUSTLER (3), HITTHEROADJACK (4), GLENEAGLE WARRIOR (9)
SUGGESTED BET:  KEAYANG MARVEN (1) to win

RACE SEVEN

A strong edition of the Members Cup where HESTON ZOOLANDER (2) lands his chance to take advantage of the barrier advantage. Not much was going right in recent attempts before going to The Triangle last start and stomping out a huge 1.54 flat rate over the 1780m from the front. He can take control and keep them chasing.

MIDNIGHT CALM (8) has been a revelation for Matty Elkins since arriving in Qld and would be a firm favourite if drawn anywhere bar this alley. Completing the threepeat last start with the easiest of wins when leading throughout, his win at this trip three back was large. He might just be hooking around them early to avoid the pocket.

WE ALWAYS HAVE FAITH (4) was sent forward from gate 4 to take control over this trip last start and from the front scored an easy 10m margin. He will need to be working at some stage to feature.

GOELITZ (6) found the pocket trail last start at the mile and then using the passing lane had the better speed to arrive for the prize. The 2138m might as some questions from the wide gate.

SELECTIONS: HESTON ZOOLANDER (2), MIDNIGHT CALM (8), WE ALWAYS HAVE FAITH (4), GOELITZ (6)
SUGGESTED BET: HESTON ZOOLANDER (2) to win

RACE EIGHT

Chasing down a hat-trick of victories at just her 4th start since arriving in Qld, SWEDISH STARLET (8) will be relying on some factors in her favour from this gate. Finding the front before being shuffled three back but angled to the breeze at the bell in a gritty victory, she will be searching for gaps here.

TINGE OF FEAR (6) is running some consistent performances at present, hitting the board in 7 of her past 9 which includes 3 wins. Grafting out a determined 3rd here last week when just 1.5m from the winner, she has the versatility to issue a challenge.

A WHOLE LOTTA ROSIE (4) was back in the pack last start when making some handy metres in the latter stages when 6m from DANCINTOTHEBEAT. Applying some heat can see her feature.

BELLA BRONSKI (1) secured the 1x1 trail from gate 5 last start in a midfield finish. A Redcliffe winner two starts back, she has the gate to utilise her early hustle.

SELECTIONS: SWEDISH STARLET (8), TINGE OF FEAR (6), A WHOLE LOTTA ROSIE (4), BELLA BRONSKI (1)
SUGGESTED BET: SWEDISH STARLET (8) to win

RACE NINE

After an extended stretch in the Qld FFA ranks where the top ranking was shifting week-to-week before BLACKSADANCE staked his claim for top billing, the top seeding now rests with MACH DA VINCI (1). Completing a hat-trick of victories last start when landing the Mayors Cup after pressing ahead from gate 5 to assume control, he has all the favours from the ace to make it four on the run.

BLACKSADANCE (4) was beaten by the second line gate last week in the Mayors Cup but his run was full of merit when working in transit to hold on for an 8m 3rd behind MACH DA VINCI. Three starts back he took the Be Good Johnny from the front, but he looks set to work at some stage here.

DEUS EX (5) held the front in the early stages last week before taking cover on MACH DA VINCI and holding on to 4th placing. Fitter for that effort where he was first up, he is a podium chance.

NORTHVIEW HUSTLER (3) was very steady off the arm last week and from there was then in the running line and never really worked into the contest. He can be handy enough to grab a minor here.

SELECTIONS: MACH DA VINCI (1), BLACKSADANCE (4), DEUS EX (5), NORTHVIEW HUSTLER (3)
SUGGESTED BET: MACH DA VINCI (1) to win

RACE TEN

A tricky end to the card for the second division mares where trainer Richard Huthcinson holds a strong hand. By virtue of all the options, SHEZ GOT BLING (1) looks the one of his three runners to capitalise. Strong to the line last start from outside the second line at Redcliffe, she can arrive.

HEAVENLY WISDOM (8) has placed at her past 4 in succession, the latest when looking to take them all the way but collared in the last stride to go under by an eyelash. Wide off the track two starts back, she will be searching for the gaps here to issue the closing challenge.

CROSSED LEGS (2) overcame gate 9 at Redcliffe last time out when hitting the line in nice order to take a neck margin. This is a step up but settling handy can see her in the mix.

SHESA POCKETROCKET (3) was beaten by gate 7 last week when retreating early and from deep in the pack the task was too great. Attacking the line in nice fashion, she has the early hustle to feature.

SELECTIONS: SHEZ GOT BLING (1), HEAVENLY WISDOM (8), CROSSED LEGS (2), SHESA POCKETROCKET (3)
SUGGESTED BET: SHEZ GOT BLING (1) to win
