RACE ONE

A Saturday afternoon twilight fixture to sink into where JET FORCE (1) can look to get us off to a winning start. A Marburg winner three starts back from behind the leader, he then did some early work at his next start when not too far from ACE LOMBO. With all the options he can capitalise.

MELTON BEACH (7) lobbed this gate last start over the 2138m trip where he was snagged back and then with most of the pack unable to get warm in the closing stages, he finished rearward. Runner-up here two back when just a half-neck away, he has the ability to issue a challenge.

ARTS PERERGRINE (10) was a winner here two back when finding the 1x1 trail and when presented able to claim a narrow margin. The gate dents the hopes, but he can be joining in.

PRESS STATEMENT (8) eased from gate 6 two starts back and against the poles was probing for a run and might just have got closer than the 4m margin with a clearer passage. He will be probing again.

SELECTIONS: JET FORCE (1), MELTON BEACH (7), ARTS PERERGRINE (10), PRESS STATEMENT (8)
SUGGESTED BET: JET FORCE (1) to win

RACE TWO

It is always a tough ask to land the prize from outside the front line, but RANCHO MAN (7) might just be able to do that in this line up. Running some handy races where sectionally he had been strong, he was able to cash in from the ace gate at Marburg last start and can chase the repeat.

CALVERT HOT SHOT (4) started from the second line last start at Redcliffe and was angled to the poles searching for the short cuts. Finishing in the second half of the pack behind MAJOR TRALEE, the start prior things did not really go in his favour. Settling handy from this alley gives him claims.

DIEGO DELGADO (3) was sent around the field in the early stages from outside the second line to get outside the leader and then proved too tough. He can force the issue again here to feature.

OUR BOY ROY (9) was returning from a spell last start when snagged off the arm from gate 6 before threading a passage to hit the line in nice order for 3rd. With added fitness he can be chiming in.

SELECTIONS: RANCHO MAN (7), CALVERT HOT SHOT (4), DIEGO DELGADO (3), OUR BOY ROY (9)
SUGGESTED BET: RANCHO MAN (7) to win

RACE THREE

This looks an open contest and with the benefit of the inside gate, HIT THE TRACK (1) can take his opportunity to land the Christmas bonus. Strong to the line from the second line at Marburg last time, he was runner-up to subsequent winner ISNTTHATRIGHT here three back. This looks within reach.

BATMAN BART (10) has gone back-to-back at his past two starts when scoring tough wins when sitting parked at Redcliffe in each. Rolling forward from gate 5 last start to graft it out and hold on, he pulled clear to an 8m margin two back. 2 from 3 here at The Creek, he can chase the threepeat.

FEELING THE POWER (5) has only had the two starts on this deck for one placing. Making late ground to grab 3rd last start at Redcliffe, he can settle handy and has podium claims in this.

JUST ONE GOOD ONE (9) was banished to the trials last start after pressing ahead to assume control of proceedings. With the return ticket stamped, he can trial through early for a sharper return.

SELECTIONS: HIT THE TRACK (1), BATMAN BART (10), FEELING THE POWER (5), JUST ONE GOOD ONE (9)
SUGGESTED BET: HIT THE TRACK (1) to win

RACE FOUR

Overcoming the second line gate last time out when launching in the home stretch to arrive for a narrow victory, BETTERTHANAROCKET (10) finds conditions here where the front-line tempo looks to have some fizz. With wins in of his past 3, he can out the afterburners on late to arrive.

LEITHEN BURN (7) returns from a spell after his last run was from this same gate when finishing midfield after retreating to secure position. With a pair of tidy trials to sharpen before his resumption, he finds a suitable first up target to issue the challenge.

QUARTZITE (4) was second up in Qld here two starts back when sent to the front from gate 2 and able to see it out with a half-neck victory. Just a half-head away last start, he can be thereabouts.

TUNGSTEN TERROR (1) turned his numbers around with a win here two starts back when firing out to lead form gate 7 and taking them all the way. Not suited when asked to sit parked last start, the gate is a huge benefit.

SELECTIONS: BETTERTHANAROCKET (10), LEITHEN BURN (7), QUARTZITE (4), TUNGSTEN TERROR (1)
SUGGESTED BET: BETTERTHANAROCKET (10) to win

RACE FIVE

Devoid of luck last start when taking on a mare’s qualifier, SWEDISH STARLET (9) went to the line running into the back of them as she was probing for an opening after being snookered in the run. A winner at her previous two outings, she finds the right conditions to bounce back with vengeance.

FRANCO NATHAN (1) has not been seen since October 25 where he eased from outside the front line to the poles and never really warmed up. Not asked for too much in a recent trial where he settled a long way off the pace, he can be tucked away and ready to issue a closing challenge.

ILLBEWATCHING (8) secured the perfect pocket trail last start at Redcliffe and darted through along the passing lane when the gap presented to take the prize. With the east trip, he will be probing.

RAANI (11) settled in the 1x1 last time out and was trying to make closing metres when 4m astern of the winner over the Redcliffe sprint trip. With the right cart into the contest, she can join in.

SELECTIONS: SWEDISH STARLET (9), FRANCO NATHAN (1), ILLBEWATCHING (8), RAANI (11)
SUGGESTED BET: SWEDISH STARLET (9) to win

RACE SIX

With a decent gate hard to come by in recent outings for STUDLEIGH SONNY (6), he will again need to defy the gate impediment for this contest. Conditions were not ideal last start over the 2138m which had followed three successive placed efforts. Strong to the line two back, he can make a play.

HEAVENLY WISDOM (1) started from inside the second line last start in a second division mare’s qualifier where she was locked away and was just 5m from the winner. Placed in her previous four in succession, including when beaten an eyelash here two back when leading, she can throw it down.

ALLSTAR SEA (2) was hitting the line in nice style last start over this trip when finishing 2m from the winner SHEZ ALL STYLE. Starting from the second line on that occasion, he can feature here.

MISS FERNANDEZ (9) was a first up winner here three starts back when powering over the top to a narrow victory. Placed second up before finishing 4m away last start, she can be joining in.

SELECTIONS: STUDLEIGH SONNY (6), HEAVENLY WISDOM (1, ALLSTAR SEA (2), MISS FERNANDEZ (9)
SUGGESTED BET:  STUDLEIGH SONNY (6) to win

RACE EIGHT

CANNAN (2)
should appreciate a return to the front line after his past five starts have all been from a second line starting position. Just 3m away after trying to make a closing raid at Marburg last start, he can settle close to the action here and gets his chance to make it two for the season.

BELLA GODIVA (3) rolled forward from gate 5 last time out at Redcliffe and content to sit parked had to settle for the bronze when 6m from the winner. Locked away here two starts back behind the in-form ISNTTHATRIGHT, she finds more suitable conditions to challenge.

THE CROM (1) was locked away three back from gate 1 on The Triangle last start and made some closing ground to finish midfield. With the cosy trip available, he can be joining in.

RISKY BUZINESS (10) has placed at his past two starts, the latest when sent around them to sit parked at Marburg and finishing 2m adrift of the winner. The gate makes the task tough here.

SELECTIONS: CANNAN (2), BELLA GODIVA (3), THE CROM (1), RISKY BUZINESS (10)
SUGGESTED BET: CANNAN (2) to win

RACE NINE

Sent to the front from gate 6 last start, HY VOLTAGE (4) was fired up through a sub 27 opening panel and kept the speed on throughout, fading in the stretch to be 8m from the winner SPEED DATING. Just a neck from subsequent and in-form winner TARGARYEN three back, he can keep them rolling.

YEP GOT CHOOKS (8) was resuming from a spell let up last time out when faced with gate 6 he eased in the early stages and was making some nice metres in the closing stages as ANIMADO took the prize. A winner from the pocket trail here four starts back, the second line options appeal.

THE GENERAL (6) was sent forward from the second line to sit parked last start and was trying to fight on when midfield behind ISOLATION. Striking trouble two back, he is a podium hope here.

BE ROCK HARD (5) was locked away three back on the inside last start and never got a chance when needing space that did not present. Finding cheap position will be key.

SELECTIONS: HY VOLTAGE (4), YEP GOT CHOOKS (8), THE GENERAL (6), BE ROCK HARD (5)
SUGGESTED BET: HY VOLTAGE (4) to win

RACE TEN

Placed in all three career attempts to date, NINETEENTHIRTYFOUR (2) looks to have found the ideal conditions to land the breakthrough. Holding on for the bronze behind KHULAN KID last start, she was beaten as an odds-on fav two back. Further experience will be a big asset.

DOLLAR BUCKS (5) was not suited on Tuesday when asked to sit parked and after the tough trip faded in the closing stages as ALTA MAGACIAN proved too classy. Placed his previous three in succession, limiting the workload will be key to his challenging chances.

HOLLADOR DAISY (1) found the tempo a little too slippery here two starts back and then last start at Redcliffe settled rearward from gate 4. From this gate in this line up, she can be sharper.

TIN AMBER MINE (6) was runner-up from the ace here two starts back when best of the rest in finishing 12m from KHULAN KID. On the back-up from Wednesday night, he can chime in here.

SELECTIONS: NINETEENTHIRTYFOUR (2), DOLLAR BUCKS (5), HOLLADOR DAISY (1), TIN AMBER MINE (6)
SUGGESTED BET: NINETEENTHIRTYFOUR (2) to win
