RACE ONE

DARBY BRIGHTS (2) is yet to hit the board after a half-dozen attempts from behind the tapes but might just have found the perfect conditions to alter that. Powering home over the top from the second line to score last time at Redcliffe, this looks well within reach with the right getaway.

LORD DENZEL (3) burrowed through from gate 1 at Redcliffe tow starts back to repel them in the early stages and once in control took them all the way. Rewarded after finishing with the silver at his previous two, if he can step cleanly, he is up to issuing the challenge.

MOONLIGHT BUTCHER (8) will love the standing start conditions on offer here and if able to negotiate the traffic can make a play. A five-time winner on this track, he is right in the mix.

CLARES FOOL (7) made the most of gate 1 to lead throughout over the AP mile three runs back and then was beaten as a short price fav two back. Track, start type and distance are all conditions he can handle.

SELECTIONS: DARBY BRIGHTS (2), LORD DENZEL (2), MOONLIGHT BUTCHER (8), CLARES FOOL (7)
SUGGESTED BET: DARBY BRIGHTS (2) to win

RACE TWO

RISKY BUZINESS (7) will be on the back-up from Friday at The Creek where he was a chance of finishing in the money. Beaten by a wide gate two starts back, he was an all the way winner here six back. Following through as the field is released to lob a spot, this is within his reach.

WILD ABOUT TOWN (2) has raced in Qld all his career and faced the starter on 227 occasions but this will be his maiden trip to the Burg. Forget his last start where he was retired with a wheel issue, he can muster off the start car when needed and if he were to find the front will give some cheek.

CANNAN (8) has a handy record on this deck but faces another tough gate after starting from the second line at his past four in succession. With the right trip, he is up to the task against these.

ESSENTIAL THREE (3) tried to take them all the way at Redcliffe last start from gate 1 and although unable to see it out, was able to hold on for the bronze. Settling handy can see her feature.

SELECTIONS: RISKY BUZINESS (7), WILD ABOUT TOWN (2), CANNAN (8), ESSENTIAL THREE (3)
SUGGESTED BET: RISKY BUZINESS (7) to win

RACE THREE

The BOTRA Young Drivers Championship caravan rolls into the Marburg Showgrounds for the first time and the leading driver at this track in the past 12 months- Taleah McMullen draws favourably with HESLUVABLE (1). 3rd to LITTLEDEE last start at Redcliffe, he can capitalise on the top gate.

TEACHERS PET (6) will be relying on some luck and favours in transit as she looks set to be buried and looking for a way clear with no passing lane here at Marburg. Fading after working hard first over last start at Redcliffe when second up from a let up, the cosy trip looks to suit.

BUKTHSYSTEM (9) was sent forward from the second line to sit parked last start and after the tough trip, faded in the closing stages behind TACTFILLY MIRACLE. He will be wide at some stage.

HIT THE TRACK (8) has placed in five of his ten on this deck but will need to overcome the tough gate. A beaten fav last start when forced to sit parked, he will be looking for a late play.

SELECTIONS: HESLUVABLE (1), TEACHERS PET (6), BUKTHSYSTEM (9), HIT THE TRACK (8)
SUGGESTED BET: HESLUVABLE (1) to win

RACE FOUR

DALLAS COWGIRL (7)
made the most of the good alley last start when forcing the issue in the early stages to take control and once in front extended the margin with 15m to spare on the line. Runner-up here three back from this same alley when making the closing raid, this is within reach.

MELTON MAX GENTLE (1) landed this alley on this deck two starts back and was not comfortable in the early stages and was unable to muster the speed to lead. From the trail he went to the line searching for a gap that never arrived. His chances will rise exponentially if he can burrow through.

NON PASSARE (9) has bene unable to hit the board in seven previous outings here at Marburg but comes into this contest with some consistent form. Collared late when holding 3rd last start, he is a podium chance again.

MUSTANG DUDE (2) is a good beginner and can rev up off the grid to go in search of early supremacy. An all the way winner at Redcliffe four runs back, he can feature in this.

SELECTIONS: DALLAS COWGIRL (7), MELTON MAX GENTLE (1), NON PASSARE (9), MUSTANG DUDE (2)
SUGGESTED BET: DALLAS COWGIRL (7) to win

RACE FIVE

RANCHO MAN (1)
has been sectionally strong in recent appearances and been able to do so with not much in his favour either. 10m from OUR AUNTY ASH last start after a chequered passage, he landed a wide gate here two back. With all the favours from the ace, he gets every chance.

BETTOR ROCKNROLL (2) makes his first appearance here at Marburg after finishing down the line last start at Redcliffe as a beaten fav. Forced to sit parked and unable to see it out, he looks set to again do it the tough way as he issues the challenge.

NIGHT NINJA (7) was a winner here three runs back from gate 1 when taking them all the way. Down the line in both runs since that victory, he can follow through early to feature.

CLARENDEN DAZZLER (9) looked to have his chance in front here last start but was collared in the last strides by OKINAWA BEACH. The gate does him no favours against his preferred pattern.

SELECTIONS: RANCHO MAN (1), BETTOR ROCKNROLL (2), NIGHT NINJA (7), CLARENDEN DAZZLER (9)
SUGGESTED BET: RANCHO MAN (1) to win

RACE SIX

The final heat of the Young Drivers Championship where all the favours are firmly in the court of Luke Whittaker and MAGICOL IDEAL (1). A four-time winner on this deck, his record in front is strong and faces a big improvement on recent barrier positions. Lighting the lamps, he will be hard to stop.

STUDLEIGH MARK (6) speared off the arm from gate 6 over the AP mile three starts back and taking control was able to fight them off for a tidy victory. Not too far from the winner in both starts since that win, he looks set for the stalking trail and will be probing for an opening to challenge.

HEZ ON THE BUZZER (7) started from the second line last time out at Redcliffe and was able to chime in late for 3rd behind WINDY HILL WALLY. Following through early, he can feature.

CHARLEVOIX (3) darted through from gate 1 over the Redcliffe 1780m last time out and trying to take it all the way was gunned down in the closing stages. He might need to do it tough here.

SELECTIONS: MAGICOL IDEAL (1), STUDLEIGH MARK (6), HEZ ON THE BUZZER (7), CHARLEVOIX (3)
SUGGESTED BET:  MAGICOL IDEAL (1) to win

RACE SEVEN

AFTER DARN (1)
will be tightened further from her latest outing where she was second up from a spell. Eased to find position when first up and finishing 8m away, gate 6 was her undoing second up. With her best gate for some time, she lands the chance to look for an all the way performance.

VOODOO FELLA (4) has been a consistent performer of late and can bring a smart record on this deck to the considerations, with three wins and four minors in 11 attempts. Collared over the AP mile two starts back when looking to take them all the way, he can challenge.

JAZIAH (8) was hemmed away from inside the second line last time out and did not see the gaps to make a serious challenge when 9m in arrears of MASTER CHARLES. She is a podium hope.

MONTEREY JACK (5) is afforded no favours from the outside paint but can graft it out when required. A gritty 2nd last start on The Triangle when under 2m from the winner, he has claims.

SELECTIONS: AFTER DARN (1), VOODOO FELLA (4), JAZIAH (8), MONTEREY JACK (5)
SUGGESTED BET: AFTER DARN (1) to win

RACE EIGHT

MI FURIOSO TORO (1)
has been runner-up in two of his three on this deck, the most recent of those four runs back when subsequent winner GOELITZ nailed him on the wire. Looming strongly last start at Redcliffe when 1m away, he has the gate to dictate and be fighting them off in the stretch.

WOODLEA DIEGO (6) made the most of a front-line alley on this deck last time out when taking them all the way with a 5m margin on the wire. A two-time winner here at the Little M, he looks se to stalk the speed here and will be searching for the openings to issue a closing challenge.

REGULUS (8) was rewarded for his consistency at The Creek on Tuesday when claiming victory from the pocket trail. Just a half-head away the start prior, he will be wide off the track at some stage.

HE SAID SHE SAID (2) may need to roll the sleeves and do it the tough way here or should lob 1x1 at worst. That handy position can see him in the mix for the minor money.

SELECTIONS: MI FURIOSO TORO (1), WOODLEA DIEGO (6), REGULUS (8), HE SAID SHE SAID (2)
SUGGESTED BET: MI FURIOSO TORO (1) to win
