RACE ONE

BAND 5 2138M:

COURAGEOUS SAINT (4) is racing well, his last two performances have been full of merit. Winning over the 2138m in Veterans grade followed up with a flashing light run last Saturday night in a slowly run race. If things pan out in transit, he looks hard to beat.

LETS BLAZE (6) is a pocket sized pacer who excels at the middle trip. He will settle rearward and be looking for a 3 wide cart home. Tempo will dictate his fortunes.

COPPERFIELD (12) owns solid middle trip numbers in 16: 4 | 2 | 3, barrier 12 hurts his winning chances and is another who will need some tempo.

ISOLATION (1) will need to hustle hard at the start to hold a forward spot. If able to settle close enough then he is live winning hope, another who excels at the middle trip.

SELECTIONS:  COURAGEOUS SAINT (4), LETS BLAZE (6), COPPERFIELD (12), ISOLATION (1)
SUGGESTED BET: COURAGEOUS SAINT Each way 1 x 4

RACE TWO

NR Up to 90 1660m:

Plain and simple LE TISSIER (7) is airborne, likely to be driven for one run from the wide barrier.

BONNIE PRINCE LOUIS (5) was held up for clear running last start when absolutely bolting, tonight he maybe forced to breeze in transit.

DELIGHFUL REASON (1) draws to advantage, with options to lead or trail.

LUCKY NUTTER (3) excels at the mile, she can be dangerous with the right sit-sprint trip.

SELECTIONS:  LE TISSIER (7), BONNIE PRINCE LOUIS (5), DELIGHFUL REASON (1), LUCKY NUTTER (3)
SUGGESTED BET: QUINELLA 5 & 7

RACE THREE

OPEN PACE 1660m:

TOMMY LINCOLN (3) was brave last week when left breezing in track record time over the middle trip. The Dux stable is firing on all cylinders, he looks to get his chance back to the mile.

MANILA PLAYBOY (10) is a talented type who can sprint sharply off a hot tempo.

WARFARE (1) will get every hope from the pole draw, he can run a race at odds.

DEUS EX (5) will no doubt have a big look for the front off the arm, his fortunes will be dictated by this outcome. If able to lead he becomes the one to beat.

SELECTIONS:  TOMMY LINCOLN (3), MANILA PLAYBOY (10), WARFARE (1), DEUS EX (5)
SUGGESTED BET: TOMMY LINCOLN to win

RACE FOUR

VETERANS 2138M:

Another deep Veterans affair where a smidge of luck in running will be key.

ITS MR CLOONEY (9) had an excellent 2022 - winning 6 races and banking $56k in prizemoney. Last start on New Year’s Eve, he was desperately unlucky being held up for clear running. He can take the prize with tonight.

JONAH JONES (11) zoomed home 4 starts back, a repeat of this performance and he can win again.

TUAPEKA GLORY (4) has good early speed, he may be able to capitalise on his front row draw.

LILAC FLASH (7) is probably the best performed horse in the field being a regular FFA contender for a long time. He will get back in the run and be hoping for mid race tempo.

SELECTIONS:  ITS MR CLOONEY (9), JONAH JONES (11), TUAPEKA GLORY (4), LILAC FLASH (7)

SUGGESTED BET: ITS MR CLOONEY to win

RACE FIVE

JUST HOME GROWN (4) joins the Stephen Cini barn, he is a former NSW pacer with good gate speed If able to find the front he may be able to run a race.

AWAYWEGO (8) is a slick miler, recently running 1.52.7 after a perfect leaders back trail. Any luck in the run and he will go close.

DHAULAGIRI (2) joins the Darrel Graham barn, he has had one trial in preparation for a return to racing. Mile racing seems to be right up his alley winning 5/12.

PRINCE JOY (6) draws a sticky gate, but he is racing super at present.

SELECTIONS:  JUST HOME GROWN (4), AWAYWEGO (8), DHAULAGIRI (2), PRINCE JOY (6)
SUGGESTED BET:  JUST HOME GROWN to win

RACE SIX

NR QUALIFYING B PACE 1660M:

LANOCH BOY (5) if able to zip over and control the race on the front end should be able to go close to the prize.

BETTERTHANPOPSY (6) is nearing another victory, last start was very brave in defeat when breezing over the middle trip.

IDEAL TIGER (1) draws beautifully to sit close to the speed, another who is racing well and shooting for the hattrick after victories at Redcliffe and Marburg.

VANITY BAY (9) has recaptured his best in recent weeks winning 2 of his last 3 starts at Redcliffe, another with winning claims.

SELECTIONS:  LANOCH BOY (5), BETTERTHANPOPSY (6), IDEAL TIGER (1), VANITY BAY (9)
SUGGESTED BET: LANOCH BOY to win

RACE SEVEN

MARES BAND 5 1660M:

EVA MATEO (3) has been racing devoid of luck in recent times, from a decent draw she is poised to drastically improve.

FAIREACHDAINN (2) has produced career best performances at her last 3 starts, there is no reason she can’t win again.

MOLLIESMARYELLE (8) produces her best work on the front end so the barrier stings, she is another who is racing well and looks well graded.

BEJIGGITY (4) won her Mares Qualifying last week, it was a stylish victory coming from near last in the run.

SELECTIONS:  EVA MATEO (3), FAIREACHDAINN (2), MOLLIESMARYELLE (8), BEJIGGITY (4)
SUGGESTED BET: EVA MATEO to win

RACE EIGHT

QUALIFYING PACE:

MIGHT AS WELL (8) has produced two big efforts in QLD to date, claiming a Saturday night victory last start. Clear running will be vital to her winning chances.

DELTA THREE (3) was a very brave winner on Tuesday, leading all the way over the middle trip whilst coping pressure. She can repeat the dose again.

QUICK STEP (9) was back in the winners stall last start at Redcliffe, she is a smart sit sprint mare who looks suited.

JAZIAH (10) has won 2 of her last 3 starts and perform well in this grade a week ago.

SELECTIONS:  MIGHT AS WELL (8), DELTA THREE (3), QUICK STEP (9), JAZIAH (10)
SUGGESTED BET: MIGHT AS WELL Each way

RACE NINE

NO BAND TROTTERS STAND 2138m:

LEESA CASTLETON (6) was a stylish winner on Tuesday coming off a 20m handicap. She looks primed to go back-to-back.

SCRUFFY DOOLAN (7) is another who looks well placed in this event. This gelding owns the excellent stand start record of 37: 9 | 6 | 11.

BOURBONONTHEROCKS (5) will run another honest race, she excels at 2138m stands.

YEA YOU (4) has not been far away in recent starts.

SELECTIONS:  LEESA CASTLETON (6), SCRUFFY DOOLAN (7), BOURBONONTHEROCKS (5), YEA YOU (4)
SUGGESTED BET: LEESA CASTLETON to win

RACE TEN

TROTTERS MOBILE 2138m:

SUAGRINSPICE (2) is a sit-sprint trotting mare who possesses a sharp turn of foot. She will most likely trail either Van Sank or Majestic Simon in the run.

MAJESTIC SIMON (5) was a huge winner last start, coming off 20m in a 2138m stand start. He can go close again.

VAN SANK (5) has trialled nicely in preparation for a race track return, he is another classy customer who recently excelled south of the border.

KINGDOM COME (4) was the giant killer in the Summer Trotting features, another with claims for a podium finish.

SELECTIONS:  SUAGRINSPICE (2), MAJESTIC SIMON (5), VAN SANK (5), KINGDOM COME (4)
SUGGESTED BET:  SUGARINSPICE to win
