RACE ONE

Resuming from a spell to kick off her 4YO term, THREE ONE FOUR (1) was last seen back in May when powering up in the closing stages to claim a 5m margin. Runner-up in both starts prior, she has opened the pipes in nice order at the trials and from the gate gets her chance to capitalise.

NINETEENTHIRTYFOUR (9) faced gate 7 last week and forcing the issue in the early stages pressed on to the front in a race the market had pegged as a two horse battle. The result was exactly that as she was collared in the last stride by KORLOFF NOIR with 26m back to 3rd. She can again challenge.

PROSPECTUS (6) resumed from a spell two starts back when making the closing challenge to get within a half-head of the winner at Redcliffe. Placed second up, the gate hurts but she can chime in.

MOONAN NINA (3) should appreciate a return to this grade after tackling a mare’s qualifier last start. Eased from gate 5 to secure position, she was down the line behind FLIGHT CREW.

SELECTIONS: THREE ONE FOUR (1), NINETEENTHIRTYFOUR (9), PROSPECTUS (6), MOONAN NINA (3)
SUGGESTED BET: THREE ONE FOUR (1) to win

RACE TWO

With good speed off the arm WILD ABOUT TOWN (3) can look to take control here and be trying to see it out. An all the way winner at Redcliffe six runs back, he has been out of the money in each run since, but been unable to lead in any of those. In front is where he does it best.

MY SECRET BEACH (1) has been to the track three times this season and been down the line in each, the latest when eased to the poles from gate 5 and chasing behind BEEF CITY STARZZZ. Better suited when closer to the action, he lands the options here to throw down the challenge.

ROCCO VARIETY (8) will get the economical peg trip and be searching for openings in the stretch. Chasing from outside the second line last start, this looks a more suitable set up.

HESLUVABLE (7) is given no favours from the outside paint, but has been racing consistently of late with three minors in his past four starts. Game in defeat when parked last start, he is a place hope.

SELECTIONS: WILD ABOUT TOWN (3), MY SECRET BEACH (1), ROCCO VARIETY (8), HESLUVABLE (7)
SUGGESTED BET: Exotics 1-3-7-8

RACE FOUR

First up in Qld last week from gate 1 at the mile, WHERES OUR MONEY (2) was impressive in the 30-40 grade when pulling clear for an effortless 15m margin in a slick career PB. He faces the jump up to a NR40, but if finding the front and running anything near his last time, should be untroubled.

BEEF CITY STARZZZ (10) is in nice touch and goes in search of a winning hat-trick here after a huge margin in victory at Redcliffe was followed with a passing lane win at the mile here last week. The gate dents the chances of the threepeat.

SPRINGFIELD SPIRIT (1) started from this same gate last start when looking for the all the way victory, fading late to hold 3rd. With the cosy trip he can grab another minor.

DIEGO DELGADO (7) has no favours from the wide gate but his last start Redcliffe win was a smart effort after looking under siege but rallying strongly to see it out. He is a podium hope.

SELECTIONS: WHERES OUR MONEY (2), BEEF CITY STARZZZ (10), SPRINGFIELD SPIRIT (1), DIEGO DELGADO (7)
SUGGESTED BET: WHERES OUR MONEY (2) to win

RACE FIVE

Resuming from a spell last start when heavily supported in the marked from gate 1, TORQUE LIKE MOTION (2) jumped in red figures. Straight to the front, she was unable to hold out FRAYA who now heads to NSW on an Oaks mission. Fitter, she can go one better as she steps to 2138m.

PEBBLE SANDS (1) has now had three runs back from a spell, the latest from gate 5 when taken back early before finishing off smartly behind FRAYA, finishing under 3m from the winner. Beaten by the second line the start prior, he lands all the gate favours here to issue the challenge.

PEPPA BLISS (6) grabbed 3rd here two starts back when finishing 4m away and then last start was making a closing raid to get within an eyelash of victory over this same trip. She is right in the fight.

ROCKNROLL DA GAMA (8) was well beaten last start, as was the majority of the field as SUBSTITOOTH put the gap on his rivals in front. A cosy trip here can see him in the minors.

SELECTIONS: TORQUE LIKE MOTION (2), PEBBLE SANDS (1), PEPPA BLISS (6), ROCKNROLL DA GAMA (8)
SUGGESTED BET: TORQUE LIKE MOTION (2) to win

RACE SIX

There looks to be plenty of front line tempo and pressure generated in this contest which should present the right set up for LETS BLAZE (9) to arrive. A Redcliffe winner two back when powering over the top, he chased hard last start for 2nd and a genuine tempo will give him every hope.

HEAVEN IN LOCKSLEY (5) made the most of gate 1 last start when pouncing on the lead and taking them all the way. Gunned down the start prior when trying to dictate from gate 3, the wider gate makes it a tougher ask this time, but he can get forward to throw down the challenge.

COPPERFIELD (7) faces a tricky challenge from this gate but in a race where there looks some good tempo, can be ready to make a closing raid. Beaten by gate 12 last start, he can descend on them.

CLASS TO THE MAX (8) will be needing a slice of luck at some stage to work his way into open space as he looks in danger of being snookered. Not far away last start, he can making a late raid.

SELECTIONS: LETS BLAZE (9), HEAVEN IN LOCKSLEY (5), COPPERFIELD (7), CLASS TO THE MAX (8)
SUGGESTED BET:  LETS BLAZE (9) to win

RACE SEVEN

A newcomer to Qld that arrives as a seven-time winner, MISS DAYTONA (5) was banished to the trials at her last Penrith appearance. Joining the Dixon stable, she looked sharp when removing the embargo in a hit out last week and despite the tricky gate, she can cash in first up.

YANKEE C J (2) was second up from a spell last time out when facing gate 10 over the mile. Making a challenge up the stretch, he hit the line in nice order to grab 2nd behind the in-form CUSTOM NIKE. Fitter for the run, he can settle closer to the action from this alley to issue the challenge.

WHOSTOLEMYPIGEON (4) tackled a qualifier last start where he was slammed with a wide second line gate, his chances expiring with the race controlled in front. Back to this company, he can feature.

ROCKSLIDE (7) rolled forward at Redcliffe last start and content to sit parked, proved too strong for his opposition to claim a 5m margin. The gate dents his hopes here, but he can still chime in.

SELECTIONS: MISS DAYTONA (5), YANKEE C J (2), WHOSTOLEMYPIGEON (4), ROCKSLIDE (7)
SUGGESTED BET: MISS DAYTONA (5) to win

RACE EIGHT

Second up in Qld last start and drawn gate 6, SUBSTITOOTH (7) was sent to the and once in control put the bite on his rivals, running the mile hard in front. Dominating the opposition, he pulled away to a 35m margin in a PB 1.53.2 mile. Despite the wide gate, he can rinse and repeat.

FLO RYDA (1) was luckless last start when snookered in the run and unable to find the gaps to issue a play over the Redcliffe 1780. Buried from inside the second line the start prior when chasing home behind FLIGHT CREW, he can secure the right trip here to mount a challenge.

ONLYSBEST (8) was asked to roll the sleeves and graft it out first over last start at the 2138m trip when fading in the closing stages. A cheap peg trip is on offer here which can see him feature.

WODERWOMAN JUJON (3) tackled a mare’s qualifier last start where she settled in the 1x1 trail to finish just outside the placings as FLIGHT CREW dominated. From the gate she is podium hope.

SELECTIONS:  SUBSTITOOTH (7), FLO RYDA (1), ONLYSBEST (8), WODERWOMAN JUJON (3)
SUGGESTED BET: SUBSTITOOTH (7) to win

RACE NINE

Starting fav last start from the second line, QUARTZITE (3) was looking to complete a hat-trick of victories but instead faded to finish at the opposite end top the winner. A big winner three back in leading throughout from gate 5, he followed it with a similar victory. Forgiving last start, he can bounce back.

SHEZA BONNY SHEILA (9) has placed in both attempts this season since resuming from a let up, the latest when chasing from the 1x1 to be under 3m from the dictating winner HEAVEN IN LOCKSLEY. Runner-up to DELTA THREE two back, with the right trip, she can be ready to issue the challenge.

TIL HEAVENS ROCKN (7) is afforded no favours as he looks to keep his perfect record in-tact. Taking them all the way last start from gate 2, making it 3 from 3 in his career, he won’t be far away.

LORD OF MISRULE (4) eased to secure position last start from gate 5 and was making closing metres when within 5m of the winner CHAMONIX. Asked to do it tough two back, he can feature again here.

SELECTIONS: QUARTZITE (3), SHEZA BONNY SHEILA (9), TIL HEAVENS ROCKN (7), LORD OF MISRULE (4)
SUGGESTED BET: QUARTZITE (3) to win

RACE TEN

Another strong heat of a 70Series coming up here where the front-line speed looks set to generate plenty of early heat. DELIGHTFUL REASON (9) was 3m from MOLLIESMARYELLE two starts back and three back was denied open space to make a run. With the right trail, she can descend upon them.

SWEDISH STARLET (6) was large in defeat here last start in tougher company when sitting parked and grinding it out to go within 3m of the winner BONNIE PRINCE LOUIS. Beaten by gate 7 the start prior after working hard in the run, she can get forward to throw down the challenge.

BOMB SUIT (8) claimed a qualifying win here last start when settled in the trail from gate 1 and making the passing lane shot a winning one. Camped on the speed, he can dart through again.

HESTON ZOOLANDER (4) makes his first appearance of the season after a let up following his run on December 30. A wide trip from gate 6 was his undoing on that occasion and he can feature fresh.

SELECTIONS: DELIGHTFUL REASON (9), SWEDISH STARLET (6), BOMB SUIT (8), HESTON ZOOLANDER (4)
SUGGESTED BET: DELIGHTFUL REASON (9) to win
