RACE ONE

The margin in defeat last start would have been much less for COMMODORE JUJON (2) if he had have seen clear space sooner than when it did present. Still finishing the race off along the inside after BETTOR JIGGLE blew it open, it followed a narrow defeat midweek. This looks within reach.

SOLE AMBITION (3) was sent forward from gate 6 last start and after finding the front was then crossed as the power went on. Fighting on to hold the bronze, it followed a midfield return behind the airborne LE TISSIER. A strong winner three back leading throughout, he can throw it down.

TUAPEKA GLORY (1) enjoys a peg trip with cover and lands the marble to follow that pattern here. A winner four starts back when releasing the speed and darting up the lane, he will be poised to strike.

PARAVANI (8) was sent forward and required to do it the tough way last start when parked, holding on for 3rd as MISDEAMNOR claimed a big victory. With the soft trip, he will be probing for gaps.

SELECTIONS: COMMODORE JUJON (2), SOLE AMBITION (3), TUAPEKA GLORY (1), PARAVANI (8)
SUGGESTED BET: COMMODORE JUJON (2) to win

RACE TWO

A winner here three starts back when releasing from gate 4, IM FEELING FIREY (2) finds a similar set up that presents the options, but he might just look to take this on all the way with limited outside pressure. A passing lane 3rd two starts back, he was too far back last time, but this appeals.

BETTERTHANAROCKET (6) made an early error last week and despite resetting quickly was forced to settle rearward. Strong to the line in the closing stages wide off the track, his splits were sharp. Charging home from deep in the pack to score two starts back, look for him with a closing challenge.

GOLIGHTLY (9) was able to find the front last start from gate 5 and trying to see it out, led them deep into the stretch, collared late by LEFT A TERROR. With the right trail he can feature.

OAXACAN DREAM (4) is going super at present and continues to be sectionally strong. Best of the chasing pack behind BONNIE PRINCE LOUIS last start, she rattled home two back and can chime in.

SELECTIONS: IM FEELING FIREY (2), BETTERTHANAROCKET (6), GOLIGHTLY (9), OAXACAN DREAM (4)
SUGGESTED BET: IM FEELING FIREY (2) to win

RACE THREE

After two runs back from a spell, the set up looks ripe for CLASSIE WASHINGTON (8) to claim a third up win. Game in defeat last start after sitting parked at the 2138m trip, his first up effort was sound from a wide gate behind TEDDY DISCO. Following a slick beginner, he just needs the gap in time.

AMERICAN OUTLAW (10) will take further benefit from his latest outing where he was second up from a long spell. Peaking late when resuming with a 3rd to ROLLYARRRZ, he did his share of early work last start as the in-form STORMTIDE took the prize. Tempo will aid his closing challenge.

MI FURIOSO TORO (1) was a Redcliffe winner four starts back when darting through on the passing lane to score. Placed in each start since, he has the gate to be in the money once again.

CHAMONIX (9) was runner-up last start when best of the chasers behind the big winner MISDEMEANOR. The fence play looks the option here and he can be probing to chime in again.

SELECTIONS: CLASSIE WASHINGTON (8), AMERICAN OUTLAW (10), MI FURIOSO TORO (1), CHAMONIX (9)
SUGGESTED BET: CLASSIE WASHINGTON (8) to win

RACE FOUR

Landing another second line gate to make it four in succession, MANILA PLAYBOY (9) takes another step up here as he continues his press towards open company. Settled in the running line last start, his close out was breathtaking to arrive and claim subsequent winner BONNIE PRINCE LOUIS. With a cart into the contest, he can prove too slippery.

MACH DA VINCI (10) was having his first appearance of the season here last week when taking the trail straight up on BLACKSADANCE and with the blistering last 800 that saw the leader close out in 52.9, had to be content with the silver when 4m in arrears. He can throw it down here second up.

NORTHVIEW HUSTLER (3) dropped in as the field settled in single file last start and with the easy trip was able to hold 3rd behind BLACKSADANCE. He can fire early bullets to find an earning position.

GOVERNOR JUJON (6) will take good benefit from his first run in over 12 months here last week. Still needing some miles in the legs, he can be running on in the latter stages here.

SELECTIONS: MANILA PLAYBOY (9), MACH DA VINCI (10), NORTHVIEW HUSTLER (3), GOVERNOR JUJON (6)
SUGGESTED BET: MANILA PLAYBOY (9) to win

RACE FIVE

Forced to retreat last start and then never a factor from back in the pack, MELTON BEACH (1) is much better suited to the set up here. Taking the trail from this gate and then darting up the passing lane to score two starts back, he can burrow through and with the trail look to repeat.

STORMTIDE (4) has been in hot form in recent outings and lines up here staring down a hat-trick of wins. From the trail last start he had the speed to arrive up the passing lane after being crossed in gate 1 which had followed an all the way effort with a strong last 800. He looms large in this battle.

DAZZLE ME (6) looked to have found the ideal conditions to claim a qualifying win but was a race day scratching. Scaring TEDDY DISCO with a head margin last start, the wide gate dents the chances.

HY VOLTAGE (8) was chasing in vain last week as MISDEMEANOR carved it out in front and with the sub 55 closing panel, had no answer. With the chance of the easy trip, if he settles, he can feature.

SELECTIONS: MELTON BEACH (1), STORMTIDE (4), DAZZLE ME (6), HY VOLTAGE (8)
SUGGESTED BET: Exotics 1-4 / 1-4-6 / 1-4-6-8-9

RACE SIX

Resuming from a brief freshen last start, SURF ACE (1) was served the 7 marble and from outside the front line eased early to secure position. With a slick tempo being set in front, it was always a task too great. Sweeping the Golden Guitar Series at his previous two, he has the gate to bounce back.

CHAINLINC (8) was chasing a hat-trick of wins here two starts back when sent to the post as fav from the second line but unable to get warm as ZHUKOV LEIS dictated in front. Showing good hustle to take control last start, he was gunned down late and stalking the speed here will be ready to strike.

R ELEVEN ART (6) returns from a NSW campaign and returns to the Garrard stable, his latest outing when runner-up at Penrith over the 22125m trip. From the wide gate he has place prospects.

JUST DESSY (4) has found some consistency after hitting the board at his past five in succession which includes a narrow victory in a second division qualifier two starts back. He can chime in here.

SELECTIONS: SURF ACE (1), CHAINLINC (8), R ELEVEN ART (6), JUST DESSY (4)
SUGGESTED BET:  SURF ACE (1) to win

RACE SEVEN

First past the post in a similar extended stakes mare’s qualifier three starts back, DELTA THREE (1) lost the victory in the steward’s room. Bouncing back with a strong 2138m win from the front, she was beaten by a wide gate last start in a strong mile. Mares company from this grade makes her hard to stop.

CUSTOM NIKE (4) faces another step up in grade here after a pair of mid-week wins in her two appearances since joining the Ronny Sallis barn. Both wins have been from gate 7 owing to an ODM embargo and both when sitting parked and grafting out strong victories. Back in the draw, she will throw it down.

PETREA BROMAC (3) will be first up in Qld for Narissa McMullen and brings a Melton victory two starts back when claiming victory from the trail. She has podium claims fresh up.

VINDICATE (8) was sent forward from gate 7 last start and was setting a slick tempo in front. Unable to see it out when fading to midfield, she will get a much softer trip here and be ready to offer.

SELECTIONS: DELTA THREE (1), CUSTOM NIKE (4), PETREA BROMAC (3), VINDICATE (8)
SUGGESTED BET: DELTA THREE (1) to win

RACE EIGHT

An open second division qualifier to dissect here where quite a few are trying to recapture some winning form. EVERYTHING HAPPENS (5) was trying to chase last start as YEP GOT CHOOKS dominated in front which followed a head 2nd to subsequent winner FLIGHT CREW. Despite a sticky gate, this looks within reach.

ISNTTHATRIGHT (10) will need to take another step up to his grade but his efforts since arriving in Qld have been super where he has won 6 of 12 and placed in 4. Gate 7 was his undoing last start and two back he was a winner in a 1.55 PB where both 2nd and 3rd have since been successful.

ARTISTIC SAINT (1) burnt early to find the front on Wednesday night at Redcliffe and was out of gas swinging for home when 7m in arrears. He has the gate to take a shot again here.

ROCK NIEN (9) was trying to make ground last week when midfield in a race that was controlled on pace. 3rd to THE GENERAL two starts back when 3m away, he can trial through to feature.

SELECTIONS: EVERYTHING HAPPENS (5), ISNTTHATRIGHT (10), ARTISTIC SAINT (1), ROCK NIEN (9)
SUGGESTED BET: EVERYTHING HAPPENS (5) to win

RACE NINE

Making her first race appearance in Qld, OUR PRINCESS KENNEDY (8) will also be stepping out for the first time this season as she comes into this contest without a trial. Struggling to recapture her best at the end of 2022, she should enjoy a cosy trip here and stays under a big watch.

JAZIAH (2) was beaten by the second line last start as FLIGHT CREW was able to dictate out in front in slick time. Grabbing the bronze from the 1x1 trail two starts back, it followed a similar return behind MIGHT AS WELL. In some consistent form, she can issue the challenge from this alley.

WHATA JOURNEY (4) started from inside the second line last start and was soon shuffled out of business against the tempo. Only a neck away two starts back, she is in the mix.

TEACHERS PET (5) has tackled the less preferred middle trip at Redcliffe at her past two starts and been able to finish in the money in each. The wide gate makes it tricky here, but she is podium hope.

SELECTIONS: OUR PRINCESS KENNEDY (8), JAZIAH (2), WHATA JOURNEY (4), TEACHERS PET (5)
SUGGESTED BET:

RACE TEN

Faced with gate 6 last start over the mobile mile, MAJESTIC SIMON (2) was able to ease into the 1x1 trail but had his chances expire with an error. Working hard from the 30m impost two starts back when a fighting 3rd from the breeze, he has the early hustle and should get every chance.

INDEFENSIBLE (5) had a three start campaign last preparation and won all three, with wins at the stand and mobile. With good speed out of the machine, he led them up from gate 2 over this trip two starts back and held on for a head margin. The gate is tricky, but he can challenge fresh.

RED CASTLETON (6) was taken back from gate 5 last start and settled back in the pack against the poles, had the sprint to power over the top of them to victory. Similar tactics can see him  feature.

SUGARINSPICE (3) pressed on with it from this same gate at the mile last start and form the front was trying to see it out before being collared in the closing strides by RED CASTLETON. She is right in the fight.

SELECTIONS: MAJESTIC SIMON (2), INDEFENSIBLE (5), RED CASTLETON (6), SUGARINSPICE (3)
SUGGESTED BET: MAJESTIC SIMON (2) to win
