RACE ONE

A tricky contest to open the day where Lola Weidemann will play a strong role with three runners all capable of victory. With some solid recent form HESLUVABLE (9) looks the pick, his effort last start from outside the front line over the AP had merit following a tough 2nd to WHERES OUR MONEY.

JAMAICAN RESORT (2) has good speed off the arm and from the tight gate can look to dart across to take it up. Down the line last start from a second line gate, he was repelled early the start prior. He is at his best in front and can look to issue the challenge.

DELIGHTFUL RAINBOW (4) has good hustle off the arm if allowed to slide and from this alley might just find space to drop in if unable to cross. Tackling a tougher contest last start, she can feature.

ROCCO VARIETY (8) sat in the trail from inside the second line last start and followed the speed to hold 2nd to MY SECRET BEACH. He can press through early to be in the mix.

SELECTIONS: HESLUVABLE (9), JAMAICAN RESORT (2), DELIGHTFUL RAINBOW (4), ROCCO VARIETY (8)
SUGGESTED BET: HESLUVABLE (9) to win

RACE TWO

Taking his first look here at Redcliffe, SUBSTITOOTH (5) will go in search of a hat-trick after a pair of impressive performances at headquarters. Sent forward to take control, those two wins have been by a combined margin of over 50m and both in strong time. The threepeat is on.

HES SWEET (1) should appreciate the improved gate after his three starts back in Qld this campaign have been when drawn wider. Eased from gate 5 last start over the AP mile to find position, he never warmed up as the race was controlled in front. Tucked in here can see him challenge.

MULLUM GUIDO (7) had this alley two starts back and with the easy trip, darted up the passing lane to score. Strong to the line last start when just a half-head from AMAMI, he has second line options.

ROCK NIEN (6) tackled a second division qualifier last start when settled in the 1x1 trail and trying to eat into the deficit when 3rd to EVERYTHING HAPPENS. The wide gate dents his chances.

SELECTIONS: SUBSTITOOTH (5), HES SWEET (1), MULLUM GUIDO (7), ROCK NIEN (6)
SUGGESTED BET: SUBSTITOOTH (5) to win

RACE FOUR

Buried away against the poles last start over the AP mile, FLO RYDA (3) was out and chasing when grabbing 3rd behind the big winner SUBSTITOOTH. Luckless the start prior when searching for a gap that did not eventuate, he can be close enough to the action to capitalise in this set up.

ALEXIA ROSE (2) resumes from a long spell and will be first up for the Donny smith yard after a switch during the time off. Facing the starter just once last campaign when fading out, she trialled on this deck in nice order for the return and looks well suited to show her early hustle.

LORD OF MISRULE (6) takes his first look at Redcliffe and what we have seen at The Creek, he may be out of the comfort zone. Down the line behind MOSSDALE MAC last start, he stays under watch.

FRANCO NATHAN (8) was first up off a freshen here two starts back when owning the closing speed to claim a narrow victory from this same gate. Not too far away last start, he can be chiming in.

SELECTIONS: FLO RYDA (3), ALEXIA ROSE (2), LORD OF MISRULE (6), FRANCO NATHAN (8)
SUGGESTED BET: FLO RYDA (3) to win

RACE FIVE

A combination of gate 7 and bumping into a smart dictating winner saw DIEGO DELGADO (4) out of the money last start. That had followed an all the way win here from gate 2 after being sent forward and able to fight them off. He can press the button early and form the front look to capitalise.

HIGH ON MONTANA (5) eased from gate 6 last start to the running line and with the right trip was able to power over the top and pull clear to a 6m victory. A similar patter looks to eventuate here and with the right tempo, he can be issuing the closing challenge.

BEACH ON FIRE (1) is yet to hit the board from four attempts this season, the latest when chasing hone from the 1x1 trail. With the option of an economical trip, he has podium claims here.

CIRCLE LINE (2) will find this a shade harder than his last start where he was too strong for them and grafted out the win after sitting parked. He has the right gate to be in the mix.

SELECTIONS: DIEGO DELGADO (4), HIGH ON MONTANA (5), BEACH ON FIRE (1), CIRCLE LINE (2)
SUGGESTED BET: DIEGO DELGADO (4) to win

RACE SIX

An open one-win pace on offer here with a number of genuine chances dependent on how the map plays out. SUNRISE RUBY (4) was first up in Qld last start and opened her account when overcoming the inside second line gate on this deck to score. This is the next step, but tempo will help the cause.

THREE ONE FOUR (1) will take good benefit from her last start where she was first up in eight months and having just her fourth career start. Holding the front from gate 1, she led deep into the stretch when collared late. With added fitness and the good gate, she can challenge.

EMMALEEN (2) has been runner-up in both runs back from a spell, the latest when 8m from the winner LAST TIME JOE. Settling handy from this alley, she can feature.

JILLIBY CHAMBERS (8) will be first up in Qld off the back of a spell and a stable change. Now prepared by Gemma Hewitt, she opened the pipes with a nice trial hit out and is right in the fight.

SELECTIONS: SUNRISE RUBY (4), THREE ONE FOUR (1), EMMALEEN (2), JILLIBY CHAMBERS (8)
SUGGESTED BET:  SUNRISE RUBY (4) to win

RACE SEVEN

Racing in super form this season, FLY CHEVAL (1) is on a heater and goes in search of her fourth successive win. Charging home here three back to score, she took that form to The Creek when blitzing her opposition with a 30m margin. Claiming a mare’s qualifier last start, she has the gate to secure the quartet.

YANKEE C J (5) has been without victory in almost four years, however his last two efforts suggest the drought breaker is on the horizon. Grabbing 3rd behind MISS DAYTONA last start, he closed strongly behind CUSTOM NIKE the start prior and can be throwing it down once again.

MYSTICAL JAZZ (3) was resuming from a spell last start and chasing a hat-trick of wins after claiming successive wins on this deck prior to the break. A sound 4th on return, she has early hustle to feature.

WHATA TERROR (9) was a winner here three starts back when controlling from the front. Wider gates have dented his hopes at his past two and the tough gate makes it no easier this time.

SELECTIONS: FLY CHEVAL (1), YANKEE C J (5), MYSTICAL JAZZ (3), WHATA TERROR (9)
SUGGESTED BET: FLY CHEVAL (1) to win

RACE EIGHT

With a handy record here at the peninsula ROCKSLIDE (8) hits the board at 50% on this deck, which includes six wins. Sent forward and content to sit parked here two starts back, he was dominant in claiming a 5m margin. Luckless last start over the AP mile, he can bounce back by taking this.

HE SAID SHE SAID (3) pressed on from gate 3 at HQ two starts back to take control over the 2138m trip but could not repel them late when 1m from the winner BEEF CITY BLAZE. Asked to hang tough when sent forward from gate 6 to sit parked last start, he can get across here to issue the challenge.

FIRE AND ICE (7) was second up from a spell here on Monday night when securing the pocket trail from this same gate and owning the closing speed to grab the win. He will be probing for openings.

BRING THE FLAVE (6) was sent to the post as fav last start and after an early error, now cops the ODM embargo here. A winner three back when sent to the front from gate 4, he has podium hopes.

SELECTIONS:  ROCKSLIDE (8), HE SAID SHE SAID (3), FIRE AND ICE (7), BRING THE FLAVE (6)
SUGGESTED BET: ROCKSLIDE (8) to win

RACE NINE

Reliant on some mapping favours, MUCH BETTOR (7) will also be hoping that the passing lane can present with momentum on his side. Luckless last start behind BOMB SUIT, he is at his best off a stalking peg trip which should prevail here, and he can dart through to take the prize.

UPTOWN BEACHGIRL (6) resumes from a spell to kick off her 4YO season, her last appearance when claiming a strong feature victory over the AP 2138m trip. Just 3m from TIMS A TROOPER two starts back, she returns on her home deck and with a smart preparatory trial, she can strike fresh.

CHAINLINC (4) tackled a qualifier last start from inside the second line when grabbing 2nd in the closing stages, finishing 3m adrift of SURF ACE. Positioning cheaply will be key, but he can feature.

ITS BACK PAGE NEWS (1) has good speed out of the machine and from this gate looks the leader. Fading after sitting parked last start, she was only 7m from CALL ME KEITH two back and the gate is a big help.

SELECTIONS: MUCH BETTOR (7), UPTOWN BEACHGIRL (6), CHAINLINC (4), ITS BACK PAGE NEWS (1)
SUGGESTED BET: MUCH BETTOR (7) to win
