RACE ONE

A tricky race to open the card with a few of these chasing winning form. With a tidy record on this deck, CAPTAINS PICK (3) can settle handy enough from this gate to take his shot. Strong to the line last start, he was tucked away from inside the second line two back and can break the drought.

LITTLE BOLT (1) is racing well enough to take this, the big query is where he can land in the run as his gate speed is not one of his strongest assets. Game in defeat when just 2m away two starts back after sitting parked, he will be hustling through in the early stages attempting to challenge.

GOLIGHTLY (7) settled in the running line from a second line gate last over the AP 2138 and chased hard when 3rd to OAXACAN DREAM. Runner-up the start prior when 4m away, he will be probing.

REGULUS (2) was beaten by a wide gate last start when taken back in the early stages and then unable to reel them in as HEAVEN IN LOCKSLEY proved too strong. 3rd to KANYE CRUSADER two starts back, he can feature.

SELECTIONS: CAPTAINS PICK (3), LITTLE BOLT (1), GOLIGHTLY (7), REGULUS (2)
SUGGESTED BET: CAPTAINS PICK (3) to win

RACE TWO

Staring down a hat-trick of victories after successive front-running wins, HEAVEN IN LOCKSLEY (2) come up with the right gate to take his shot. Pressing the issue from gate 5 last start when working to the front and seeing them off, he can bully his way to the front here and see it out.

TOM KAT (1) fired off the arm to hold them out last start at the AP mile and was giving deep into the stretch, only to be collared in the last strides as BOMB SUIT arrived up the passing lane. He lands all the options from the ace to issue the challenge.

CALL ME KEITH (3) won his heat here in tough fashion when sent forward to sit parked from the second line, proving too strong for the opposition when claiming a smart 3m victory. He might need to grind it out again.

LETS BLAZE (5) swept home over the top of them here three starts back off a hot tempo and followed that with the silver behind CALL ME KEITH. A strong tempo can see him descending.

SELECTIONS: HEAVEN IN LOCKSLEY (2), TOM KAT (1), CALL ME KEITH (3), LETS BLAZE (5)
SUGGESTED BET: HEAVEN IN LOCKSLEY (2) to win

RACE THREE

The consolation of the race 2 70Final, where BETTERTHAN POPSY (7) looks set to enjoy the perfect trip in behind the speed. Chasing home to grab the silver last start behind MELTON BEACH, it followed a similar trip when under 2m from BOMB SUIT. Stalking the speed, he can strike.

HESTON ZOOLANDER (1) will strip fitter from his last appearance where he was resuming from a spell from gate 4 in the heats of this series. Settled in the 1x1 trail when finishing under 5m from the passing lane winner BOMB SUIT, he has the gate to throw down the second up challenge.

DELTA THREE (4) steps out on The Triangle for the first time but brings some hot form where she has been first past the post in 7 of her past 12. Taking them all the way last start, she is right in the fight.

ALTA REVELRY (9) has a 50% winning strike rate here at Redcliffe, pushing it to 4 from 8 after his swooping win here on Tuesday. Rattling home the start prior in sharp fractions, a strong tempo brings him right into the fight.

SELECTIONS: BETTERTHAN POPSY (7), HESTON ZOOLANDER (1), DELTA THREE (4), ALTA REVELRY (9)
SUGGESTED BET: Exotics 1-4-7-9

RACE FOUR

Beaten by the outside second line last start when finishing near the rear after being wide in the latter stages, TARGARYEN (2) will relish the chance to return to the front line to utilise his early speed. Completing a hat-trick of wins prior to the last start, he has been freshened but blown the cobwebs clear in a sharp trial hit out.

MAKE MINE MEMPHIS (8) is a big query on The Triangle, with his only previous attempt in the stand start Redcliffe Cup last year. Sectionally, no horse is more consistent in Qld in the past six months, but they rarely convert to victory. Under 4m from JONAH JONES last start, a solid tempo will help.

JONAH JONES (7) has been in nice touch in recent weeks, darting through the middle off a soft trip to score two starts back. Not suited in open company last start, he will be tucked away and probing.

L L COOL J (1) resumes from a spell after his last appearance in the Blacks A Fake consolation last year when 9m from the dead-heating I CAST NO SHADOW and CRIME WRITER. With a pair of trials in readiness for the return, a cosy trip fresh should suit.

SELECTIONS: TARGARYEN (2), MAKE MINE MEMPHIS (8), JONAH JONES (7), L L COOL J (1)
SUGGESTED BET: TARGARYEN (2) to win

RACE FIVE

Tackling a qualifier here on The Triangle could be the ideal set up for MISTY CREEK (8) to open his Metro account. Sent forward to sit parked last start, he was game after the tough trip to be 5m from the winner AMERICAN OUTLAW. Only 2m from BOMB SUIT two starts back, this looks within reach.

KATACHA MAN (3) should appreciate an improved gate back on this deck after facing wide or second line gates at his past four starts. Snagged off the arm last start to settle rearward, he was sound to the wire behind SURF ACE. Settling close to the action can see him issue the challenge.

MOSSDALE MAC (7) fired off the arm last time out from gate 2 to take control and once in front was never in danger when holding them off. A winner from the front here three back, he will be probing.

BLACKJACK BART (1) was locked away from gate 1 last start over the AP mile and chased hard when 8m in arrears of HEAVEN IN LOCKSLEY. With the benefit of the options, he can feature.

SELECTIONS: MISTY CREEK (8), KATACHA MAN (3), MOSSDALE MAC (7), BLACKJACK BART (1)
SUGGESTED BET: MISTY CREEK (8) to win

RACE SIX

After sweeping the Golden Guitar Series at Tamworth, SURF ACE (2) was freshened before stepping out from gate 7 two starts back and after retreating was chasing in vain as MISDEMEANOR dictated a slick mile in front. Taking the trail from the ace last week, he finished best and gets the chance to repeat.

BETTOR JIGGLE (6) faced the outside second line last time out and put into the race confidently through the middle stages, had put them away turning for home and finished it off in taking an 8m margin. Fitter after being fresh up in that, he is 3 from 3 on this deck but needs to defy the map.

MISDEMEANOR (4) was sent forward to light the lamps last start and free rolling in front laid out a PB 1.52.6 mile with 18m to spare. Getting forward here, she will be throwing it down.

OAXACAN DREAM (9) had been sectionally super in recent outings and was able to cash in last week when forcing the issue to get to the front and pull clear to an 11m margin. The gate dents her hopes.

SELECTIONS: SURF ACE (2), BETTOR JIGGLE (6), MISDEMEANOR (4), OAXACAN DREAM (9)
SUGGESTED BET:

RACE SEVEN

Taking his first look at The Triangle since joining Wayne Graham, DAZZLE ME (1) comes up with all the options from the gate to claim his first win in the Sunshine State. Beaten by gate 6 when retreating last start as MELTON BEACH dictated, he was runner-up both starts prior. He looks to get every chance.

UNCLE CHAN (2) fired off the arm from gate 2 last week and looked to take them all the way but was out of bullets turning for home when finishing 9m astern of the winner SURF ACE. A flat tyre the last 150 did not help his cause and settling close to the action here an look to mount a challenge.

EVERYTHING HAPPENS (3) took full advantage last start when sent to the front and controlling the speed was able to take them all the way with 4m to spare. He can be close enough to feature again.

CANT BLUFF YOU (7) started from gate 8 last time out where he was produced in the closing stages and had the speed to arrive for the prize. Tucked away, he can be ready to chime in.

SELECTIONS: DAZZLE ME (1), UNCLE CHAN (2), EVERYTHING HAPPENS (3), CANT BLUFF YOU (7)
SUGGESTED BET: DAZZLE ME (1) to win

RACE EIGHT

Making her Qld debut last week in a second division for the mare’s, OUR PRINCESS KENNEDY (5) found herself snookered away on the poles from inside the second line. Making late metres to be under 2m from the winner, a return to the front line in an open contest can see her capitalise.

GOLDIE A DELIGHT (8) is one for one on this deck and should receive a better run in transit than last start where she was snagged off the arm from gate 7 over the AP mile. Never in the mix thereafter, it followed a 2nd behind FLY CHEVAL and with the right trip she can issue the challenge here.

ASHLEE NITRO (9) probably lands one of her best hopes of a breakthrough win in mare’s grade with this contest being held at Redcliffe where she does her best work. Finishing over the top from this same gate last start to score, she will be closing hard.

VINDICATE (6) takes her first look at Redcliffe and is afforded no favours from the outside paint. Using the passing lane to grab 3rd behind DELTA THREE last start, she can get forward to feature.

SELECTIONS:  OUR PRINCESS KENNEDY (5), GOLDIE A DELIGHT (8), ASHLEE NITRO (9), VINDICATE (6)
SUGGESTED BET: OUR PRINCESS KENNEDY (5) to win

RACE NINE

Announcing his arrival in Open Company last week, MANILA PLAYBOY (4) was a big winner after being sent to sit parked from the 1000m and proved too classy when claiming a PB mile. That followed a strong win from back in the pack, where he sizzled up the stretch. The small field and an exemplary Redcliffe record make him the one to beat.

ROCK BOTTOM (1) has been sectionally superb without winning, his latest run when down the line behind MANILA PLAYBOY. Two starts back he was well beaten but the closing tempo made it impossible for any chasers to eat into the deficit. From the good gate he can stalk the speed.

NORTHVIEW HUSTLER (3) held the front easily last week when looking to take them all the way but was worried out of it by MANLIA PLAYBOY. He can get across and try to see it out.

SELECTIONS: MANILA PLAYBOY (4), ROCK BOTTOM (1), NORTHVIEW HUSTLER (3)
SUGGESTED BET: MANILA PLAYBOY (4) to win

RACE TEN

The second of the mare’s qualifiers for the night where ROSES ARE SWEET (9) can look to extend her great record on this track. With six wins and nine minors, her last start effort had merit when hemmed away as DELTA THREE dictated. Beaten a neck here three back, she was only 2m away two back and finds conditions to capitalise.

FORBIDDEN JEWEL (6) will find a return to her own sex favourable after tackling a strong race here on Tuesday at her first run since joining the Ron Sallis yard. Settled in the 1x1 trail from gate 2, she was 8m from the winner ALTA REVELRY in sharp time and she can still challenge from the poor draw.

SHEZ NOTORIOUS (5) faces a tougher ask from the wider gate but will take benefit from her last start when first up in six weeks. With early hustle, she can look for a handy spot to feature.

TRIOLI (2) tackled the second division mare’s contest last start when positioned four back on the pegs and chasing. They were too slippery two starts back, but on The Triangle she can feature.

SELECTIONS: ROSES ARE SWEET (9), FORBIDDEN JEWEL (6), SHEZ NOTORIOUS (5), TRIOLI (2)
SUGGESTED BET: ROSES ARE SWEET (9) to win
