RACE ONE

Making his first appearance in Qld for the visiting Ruggari barn, FAR OUT BRO (11) brings some handy NSW numbers. Grabbing 3rd last start at Newcastle in a sizzling 52.8 mile when 2m from the winner, he scored a smart win at the same track two back. With the right trail, he can descend.

KEAYANG MARVEN (10) settled back in the pack last start and was strong to the line in the closing stages when grabbing the silver behind AMERICAN OUTLAW. Nothing went right for him the start prior when not too far away over this trip and with up front tempo, he can make a closing challenge.

HESTON ZOOLANDER (1) turned it all around last start when carving out a sizzling time around The Triangle. He steps up to the middle trip here but with the mapping options can be right in the fight.

COPPERFIELD (8) will likely be hemmed away with a soft trip against the poles here but when a gap opens he can take a closing shot. Setting the tempo last start, he will be probing for the openings.

SELECTIONS: FAR OUT BRO (11), KEAYANG MARVEN (10), HESTON ZOOLANDER (1), COPPERFIELD (8)
SUGGESTED BET:

RACE TWO

At his best when lighting the lamps, the set up looks right for YEP GOT CHOOKS (2) to fil the carton and take the career winning tally to a dozen. Wide off the track from gate 12 last start, he finished off strongly to be under 4m from the winner. Taking control early, he can look to see it out.

CAPTAIN NEMO (3) might have a zero next to his name from his last appearance, however that does not tell the true story. Still sectionally sharp behind UPTOWN BEACHGIRL, his last 1200 made impressive reading. Collared late when leading two back, he can be close enough to throw it down.

NO DOUBT (1) was snookered on the poles here tow starts back and made some good metres in the stretch to grab the bronze. Off a soft trip, he can again chase down some minor money.

SWAGGIE SHANNON (9) has been kept fresh since his last appearance when taking a passing lane shot and finishing 4m in arrears of LE TISSIER. With the right early trail, he can feature here.

SELECTIONS: YEP GOT CHOOKS (2), CAPTAIN NEMO (3), NO DOUBT (1), SWAGGIE SHANNON (9)
SUGGESTED BET: YEP GOT CHOOKS (2) to win

RACE THREE

Catching the eye over the closing stages at each of her past few starts, ALLAMBIE (1) lands the marble to settle closer to the action this week. Snagged back from gate 7 last week, it was the same pattern from gate 6 the start prior. With some slick closing panels in each, she gets her chance here.

OUR PRINCESS KENNEDY (4) went straight to the front from gate 3 here last week with the leading duties coming with a 27.8 opener before backing it off to a 31.7 second panel. Collared right on the wire through a 56.7 closing half, she can fire out again here to throw down the challenge.

GWYNETH P (8) settled in the 1x1 trail here last week and was trying to issue a closing raid when 1m from the winner BETTOR ROMANCE who scored up the passing lane. Likely to be shuffled away, she will be probing.

ZOES RAINBOW (6) will need to step up again from the tricky gate after successive wins. Claiming a narrow victory in a mare’s qualifier last start, it followed an effortless Redcliffe win.

SELECTIONS: ALLAMBIE (1), OUR PRINCESS KENNEDY (4), GWYNETH P (8), ZOES RAINBOW (6)
SUGGESTED BET:

RACE FOUR

As the lone runner drawn off the second line, there will be early options for TURN IT UP (8) to ease away from the poles if required. Trying to see it out when charging across from gate 6 last start, he was collared late by ROCK BOTTOM. Saved for the closing shot here, he can arrive.

TOMMY LINCOLN (2) was 9m in arrears of the winner last start where there were possibly some excuses. Trying to make a raid up the passing lane the start prior when 3rd, he can use the gate advantage here to zip across and look to pinch it out in front.

TARGARYEN (1) needs to step up against all comers here but does have that offset by landing the ace. Finishing best to claim the prize two starts back, he can stalk the speed to grab a minor.

GOVERNOR JUJON (3) should be stating to approach a higher level of race fitness after three runs back from a long spell. Doing a good job in all three since returning, he can grab a minor here.

SELECTIONS: TURN IT UP (8), TOMMY LINCOLN (2), TARGARYEN (1), GOVERNOR JUJON (3)
SUGGESTED BET: TURN IT UP (8) to win

RACE FIVE

A return to the mile from the tight alley looks the ideal tonic for ZHUKOV LEIS (2) to stay in front of his main dangers and claim a dictating victory. Releasing after spearing off the arm last week at the 2138, it followed a game effort in defeat behind STORMTIDE. Rated in front he can see this out.

ARGYLE (5) resumes from a spell after just one run in Qld at the tail end of his 3YO season. That was a 2nd behind FUTURE ASSURED in a G3 contest. A five-time winner, he opened the pipes in a recent trial behind subsequent winner MR MCLAREN. It is a sticky alley first up to make a challenge.

HAZELNUTS (9) has placed in his only previous attempt here at The Creek and arrives a last start winner at Newcastle when taking them all the way in smart time. The second line makes it tough.

ROLLYARRRZ (10) was strong to the line last start off the pace after being faced with gate 12 at the 2138 trip. He will need to be chasing again as he continues to close his races strongly.

SELECTIONS: ZHUKOV LEIS (2), ARGYLE (5), HAZELNUTS (9), ROLLYARRRZ (10)
SUGGESTED BET: ZHUKOV LEIS (2) to win

RACE SIX

A female drivers race to conclude the 2023 Team Teal Campaign where FORBIDDEN JEWEL (6) will need to be at her best to overcome the wide gate. Grabbed by GWYNETH P in the last strides two starts back, she had gate 7 last week when sliding across to be exposed early before cover arrived. She might just pinch an open contest.

RED TRIX (10) was brilliant at her first Qld appearance in a midweeker when firing up off the arm to get across from gate 5 and run out a smart 52.7 mile with 9m to spare. The second line makes the task tougher this time but taking benefit from the first up run, she can throw it down here.

MISS DAYTONA (4) rolled forward from gate 7 last start to sit parked and was dead game in finishing just a head from ZOES RAINBOW after continuing to graft it out up the stretch. The improved gate is a big plus.

VINDICATE (1) settled in the 1x1 trail last start when unable to go with them in the closing stages chasing STORMTIDE. With the early options, she can grab some minor money.

SELECTIONS: FORBIDDEN JEWEL (6), RED TRIX (10), MISS DAYTONA (4),  VINDICATE (1)
SUGGESTED BET:

RACE SEVEN

On paper this race looks to generate plenty of early and mid-race tempo which might just be of benefit to MOSSDALE MAC (2) if he can get across at the start. He took them all the way two back and with the speed to cross and options thereafter, he can descend on them to score.

HY VOLTAGE (4) was sent out as fav last time out and from the front was trying to see it out when grabbed in the closing stages by STORMTIDE. 3rd two starts back from inside the second line chasing MELTON BEACH, he can show his early hustle and will be trying to repel the stretch challengers.

THE HIGH COMMANDER (6) keeps chalking up the minor placings but is struggling to convert to a winning effort. Powering up and pulling clear only to be run down two back, he had to sit parked last start and was left vulnerable in sharp time. He is going well enough.

CHAINLINC (9) fired off the arm here on Tuesday to set the tempo from gate 3 and led them deep into the stretch, only to be nabbed near the line. With the right early trail, he can be joining in.

SELECTIONS: MOSSDALE MAC (2), HY VOLTAGE (4), THE HIGH COMMANDER (6), CHAINLINC (9)
SUGGESTED BET: Exotics 2-4-6-9

RACE EIGHT

A tricky ballot division of the mares’ qualifier where BETTYS LASS (9) might just appreciate the bigger deck after two runs at Redcliffe since arriving in Qld. Wide off the track last start when trying to reel them in, two back she was strong to the line in a blanket finish when under 4m from the winner.

SUNRISE RUBY (2) will face a step up to tackle this contest at her first look at The Creek since arriving in Qld, but she has the gate and some handy form to offer. Breaking the maiden tag three back at Redcliffe, she careered home to a big 11m margin last start and has the gate to challenge.

GOALKICKER (3) fired off the arm from gate 4 last start and looked to take them all the way but was gunned down in the stretch by COULDNTMISAFALCON. A winner four runs back, she can chime in.

SHESA POCKETROCKET (1) should secure an economical trip against the poles and be searching for a gap to make a closing play. Not too far away from the same gate last time, she can grab a minor.

SELECTIONS: BETTYS LASS (9), SUNRISE RUBY (2), GOALKICKER (3), SHESA POCKETROCKET (1)
SUGGESTED BET:

RACE NINE

Staring down the barrel of a hat-trick last time out, SURF ACE (3) was fired up outside the leader and was a wipe-out to trail the field home. Banished to the trials, the problem looks to have been rectified with a sharp workout, and with the gate to force the issue, can get the campaign back on track.

BETTERTHANAROCKET (1) eased from gate 7 last start to settle rearward and when unleashed wider on the track in the latter stages, launched a powerful close out to claim a 5m margin. Not suited at the 2138m the start prior, he is best at the mile off speed, so the set up here looks ideal.

MISTERFREEZE (8) faced gate 7 lasts start and was trying to make a closing raid but did not have the smoothest passage. With the second line options, he can look to find clear space to feature.

ROCKS OR DIAMONDS (5) held the pocket trail from inside the second line last start and was chasing when runner-up to the airborne UPTOWN BEACHGIRL. Despite a tricky alley, he can chime in.

SELECTIONS: SURF ACE (3), BETTERTHANAROCKET (1), MISTERFREEZE (8), ROCKS OR DIAMONDS (5)
SUGGESTED BET: SURF ACE (3) to win

RACE TEN

A mixed divided race to close out the card where the in-form AMERICAN OUTLAW (2) looks to have secured favourable conditions to chalk up another victory. Completing a threepeat last start when taking them all the way in a career PB at this trip, he can look to blaze his way to a quartet.

WARFARE (5) faced this same alley last time out in tougher company and from back in the pack was sectionally superb in the closing stages, running a last half of 54.12 and a sub 27 in chasing UPTOWN BEACHGIRL. The gate is awkward once again, but with the right trip, he can issue the challenge.

SOEXTRA (6) was asked to graft it out first over last start and after the tough trip as UPTOWN BEACHGIRL stepped it out in 51 flat, he as game in a midfield result. The wider gate makes it no easier.

MAKE MINE MEMPHIS (8) will appreciate a return to the big deck after his last appearance on the triangle where he was trying to make closing ground when 7m from JONAH JONES. With early options, he can chime in.

SELECTIONS: AMERICAN OUTLAW (2), WARFARE (5), SOEXTRA (6), MAKE MINE MEMPHIS (8)
SUGGESTED BET: AMERICAN OUTLAW (2) to win
