RACE ONE

A tricky contest to open the night where LORD OF MISRULE (10) will be looking to turn it around from his last start where he trailed the field in. Fading after being sent around in the middle stages to liven things up, he can be saved for one shot here which can be the winning one.

THE WATERBOY (6) fired off the arm to take control last start from gate 3 and once in control was never in danger to claim a 7m margin. Too far back here two starts back when stepping out over this trip and unable to work into the battle, the gate dents his challenging chances.

MISSTREPO (1) found the right conditions to claim a Redcliffe victory two starts back when descending on them in the closing stages. With the soft trip, she can look to grab a minor here.

MUCH BETTOR (8) is effective off a peg trip and should be tucked away here awaiting the gaps to take his shot. He did not get the smoothest passage last start but will be probing here.

SELECTIONS: LORD OF MISRULE (10), THE WATERBOY (6), MISSTREPO (1), MUCH BETTOR (8)
SUGGESTED BET:

RACE TWO

Sent forward to sit parked last start, CLASSIE WASHINGTON (6) was brave in defeat when fighting hard to the wire when 3m in arrears of the winner MACH DADDY. This race should generate plenty of heat and staying clear of the kitchen early, he can look to power up in the closing stages.

SPEAK WITH SAM (9) has placed in both runs back from a spell, the latest when using the passing lane to grab a 3m 3rd behind MACH DADDY. Chasing for the bronze behind MELTON BEACH when resuming, a solid tempo will aid his chances to close it out.

NO MOTIVE (1) bounced back to winning form last start when forcing the issue from gate 6 to get to the front and then see it out with 9m to spare. With an improved gate, he will need to hustle hard.

KANYE CRUSADER (10) joins the flying Donny Smith barn after a last start 4th where he was luckless after being carted back through the pack by a tiring runner. He stays under notice here.

SELECTIONS: CLASSIE WASHINGTON (6), SPEAK WITH SAM (9), NO MOTIVE (1), KANYE CRUSADER (10)
SUGGESTED BET: CLASSIE WASHINGTON (6) to win

RACE THREE

Burning her supporters at her past three starts where she has been the beaten fav, LEANDER (1) lands the same gate where two of those defeats came from. A 27.1 opener last start left her flat at the finish last start when fading, but if allowed to control it in the middle stages can gain redemption.

FRANCO NATHAN (8) was a Redcliffe winner four starts back and his three runs since that have been spaced. Facing gate 6 last start, the run was full of merit after being caught wide, forced to retreat and then rattling late to be 4m from the winner. He can stalk the speed here ready to strike.

LITTLE CHANGE (9) has placed at his past two starts and will have early options here to look for an economical peg trip. Just a half-neck from the winner last start, he can be chiming in once more.

JILLIBY CHAMBERS (7) was rifled off the gate last start from this same alley to set the tempo and from the front was able to take them all the way. That pattern does not look viable here, but she can chime in.

SELECTIONS: LEANDER (1), FRANCO NATHAN (8), LITTLE CHANGE (9), JILLIBY CHAMBERS (7)
SUGGESTED BET: LEANDER (1) to win

RACE FOUR

With the arm hustle to burrow through and protect the inside running, if PARTY POLOTIX (1) can getaway with limited pressure being applied in the run, she might just be able to see this out. Trying to take them all the way last start, she was collared near the line. This is open enough for her to score.

MAYWYN TROUBADOR (7) is afforded no favours from the outside paint but has been on a streak of tough gates. 3rd from this same alley three runs back behind the in-form and subsequent winner OUR MODERN MINNIE, he finds the right opposition to issue a challenge.

ARCHILLES (3) will strip fitter from his latest appearance where he was resuming from a spell. Taken back from gate 7, he hit dead ends and was still within 5m of the winner. He can chime in here.

STUDLEIGH SONNY (5) tackled a qualifier last start and over the middle trip it was out of reach as THE HIGH COMMANDER took the prize. Despite a potentially awkward gate, he can feature here.

SELECTIONS: PARTY POLOTIX (1), MAYWYN TROUBADOR (7), ARCHILLES (3), STUDLEIGH SONNY (5)
SUGGESTED BET:

RACE FIVE

Claiming victory second up from a spell here two starts back, ODINS BLACK CROWS (3) worked to the front over the middle trip and after a steady time early, was abele to hold them off. Not suited last start when forced to park out against stronger opposition, he gets his chance in this line up.

PROSPECTUS (1) is unplaced in all three attempts here on the big deck but ventures back to town in better form. Her last appearance here three starts back was a tidy effort from gate 6 when 5m away and that effort was franked with victory at her next start. With the gate options, she can challenge.

CARTER GRANT (2) will take good benefit from his last appearance where he was resuming from a spell. Working wide off the track at Redcliffe, he held on for 2nd and will be looming large.

SHEREACTS (7) was a Marburg winner three back when sitting parked, she has placed in both runs since, the latest at the 2138m trip. The gate makes it an ask, but she looks up to the task.

SELECTIONS: ODINS BLACK CROWS (3), PROSPECTUS (1), CARTER GRANT (2), SHEREACTS (7)
SUGGESTED BET: Exotics 1-2-3-7

RACE SIX

It has been a while since he last tasted victory but the set up looks right for BETTOR KEEP ROCKING (8) to chase the drought breaker here. Working home in nice order last time out to be under 5m from the winner, he lands the second line options to claim the breakthrough.

MULLUM RUBY (4) returns from a spell to start her 3YO term, closing out last season when finishing midfield to JEWEL MELODY in the Triad Final. Breaking the maiden status in the Breeders Classic, she looked sharp in a recent trial and finds a suitable target to chase a first up victory.

TOMMY BLIGH (3) was exposed for a period here last week until finding the trail and continued to chase to the wire when finishing as the runner-up to MISTER DOMINGO. He has podium claims again.

RECIPE FOR DREAMING (2) brings plenty of experience to this contest and positioning cheaply will aid his cause. Not suited when parked out last start, he can be thereabouts with the right trip.

SELECTIONS: BETTOR KEEP ROCKING (8), MULLUM RUBY (4), TOMMY BLIGHT (3), RECIPE FOR DREAMING (2)
SUGGESTED BET:

RACE SEVEN

Returning to start his 3YO term off the back of a trial that has already produced winning form, REGAZZO DI TILLY (4) can look to capitalise first up. Last seen in the Triad Final where he was down the line behind FOR REAL LIFE, he placed five times and claimed one win as a 2YO and can return in style.

COLBY ART (2) faces the starter for the first time in Qld, bringing some handy form from the Hunter region. Not too far from them last start at Newcastle after fading over the 2030, a return to the mile should be more favourable to his challenging chances.

DOLLARBILL (7) has placed in three of his past five, the latest when a beaten fav but working home in nice style wide off the track. The gate dents the chances but he is right in the fight.

WATERLINE (3) has had three runs back from a spell where she has gone under as a red figure elect in two of those. Asked to sit parked last start when fading late, she has the gate to feature.

SELECTIONS: REGAZZO DI TILLY (4), COLBY ART (2), DOLLARBILL (7), WATERLINE (3)
SUGGESTED BET: REGAZZO DI TILLY (4) to win

RACE EIGHT

With a big improvement in his barrier draw fortunes, LORD DENZEL (1) looks to secure the options to capitalise. Fading last start after sitting parked, he was too far back at Redcliffe the start prior after retreating from a wide gate. Settling up handy gives him every chance.

CIRCLE LINE (8) tackled a much stronger race last start and when the speed went on was left a little flat. Wide off the track at Redcliffe the start prior, he can follow through in the early stages to get the cosy trip and will be trying to wind up to issue a closing challenge.

BEYONSKI (10)
is given no favours with the extreme gate, but she has been thereabouts in recent starts including a 2nd to RISKY BUZINESS two starts back. With the right cart home she can feature.

SPORTY AZZ (2) has placed in two of his past three starts, the latest when chasing home for the bronze from the second line behind MISS PAU. Settling handy to the action will aid his hopes.

SELECTIONS: LORD DENZEL (1), CIRCLE LINE (8), BEYONSKI (10), SPORTY AZZ (2)
SUGGESTED BET: LORD DENZEL (1) to win
