RACE ONE

TRUE GRIT SHADOW (8)
was well supported last time out from outside the front line but could not get warm in the closing stages after trying to launch a wide run. Strong to the line two back when grabbing 3rd, he can secure a better trail here and be closer to descend on them.

IMA BIRUBI BOY (3) is looking to recapture some better form and looks to have found the right conditions to turn his numbers around. Flat at the start last time from behind the tapes, he was under 3m from the winner two starts back at Kilcoy. He can be handy enough to challenge.

FLY CHEVAL (4) tackled a stand start event at Marburg last start where the 2200m trip looked to be out of reach after a cosy trip behind the speed. This looks a more suitable set up.

ROLLED IN GOLD (6) continues to run some nice races from the tough gate owing to the ODM embargo. Grabbing the silver last start behind MISS MIA, she can be making a closing play again.

SELECTIONS: TRUE GRIT SHADOW (8), IMA BIRUBI BOY (3), FLY CHEVAL (4), ROLLED IN GOLD (6)
SUGGESTED BET: TRUE GRIT SHADOW (8) to win

RACE TWO

Dan Russell holds a strong hand in this race, preparing the majority of the field where the early speed of GETALOADATHISBRO (3) should put him in the right spot. Unable to get across last start at Marburg, he was in the trail here two back when holding in for 3rd. With the early bullets, this looks his chance.

GO JO JOLT (2) fired off the arm and looked to take them all the way last start but was unable to see it out when fading to finish in the second half of the pack. Placed her previous three in succession, including a fading 3rd after leading two back, she can be close enough to issue the challenge.

TACTFILLY MRACLE (6) overcame this same gate last time out after retreating to secure position before charging home over the top to claim a smart win. She will be relying on some luck again.

MONTEREY JACK (9) has the task ahead from outside the second line but was strong to the line last start at Marburg to grab the silver. With the right cart into the contest he can feature.

SELECTIONS: GETALOADATHISBRO (3), GO JO JOLT (2), TACTFILLY MRACLE (6), MONTEREY JACK (9)
SUGGESTED BET:

RACE THREE

OUR ACTION MAN (7)
was asked to do it the tough way last start when sitting parked over the AP Mile and only faded in the latter stages in a strongly run contest taken by OUR BONDI BEACH. A tough 2nd two starts back when 4m from SQUARE DEALER, he will be stalking the gaps to break free.

WOODLEA DIEGO (1) will be backing up from The Creek on Friday night where he looked to have the task ahead of him from the second line in a strong Band 5 event. Back into this grade from the good alley looks mores suitable and with the early hustle can look to throw it down.

SCOTCH EN ICE (6) resumes from a spell after his last start back in December when finishing in the second half of the pack behind SOEXTRA. The wide gates makes it a tough ask fresh up.

MUMMYS BOY (4) will take some benefit from his last start where he was resuming from a spell in a tougher battle claimed by ALTA REVELRY. Finding position cheaply will help his cause.

SELECTIONS: OUR ACTION MAN (7), WOODLEA DIEGO (1), SCOTCH EN ICE (6), MUMMYS BOY (4)
SUGGESTED BET: OUR ACTION MAN (7) to win

RACE FOUR

LA SAFRON (1) will be lining up for his third run in six days but has shown previously that the workload is no concern. After three successive placings, he capitalised last Wed night when arriving down the stretch to claim the prize. He faces a tough ask on Sat night from a wide gate but looks ideally placed off the ace in this contest.

MISSTREPO (5) will strip fitter following her latest appearance when first up from a spell at Marburg.  Chasing home behind LITTLE CHANGE, she has a good record here on The Triangle where 7 of her 8 career wins have been recorded and with the right tempo she can look to make a closing challenge.

ALTANA BLUE (8) made the most of his sharp manners from behind the tapes last start when charging away and leading throughout, pulling clear to an 11m margin. He can feature again.

ARTISTIC SAINT (7) will be backing up out of a stronger event on Friday night and looks better suited here. Wide off the track two starts back under standing start conditions, he will be probing here.

SELECTIONS: LA SAFRON (1), MISSTREPO (5), ALTANA BLUE (8), ARTISTIC SAINT (7)
SUGGESTED BET: LA SAFRON (1) to win

RACE FIVE

RISKY BUZINESS (5)
forced the issue on the grass at Kilcoy last time out and was trying to see it out when gunned down over the closing stages. Asked to work hard when parked here two back and fading out, he made the most of a cheap trip to score here three back and is up to taking this.

TODAYS HERO (1) was buried in the run last start from gate 1 over the AP mile and not made any easier when the leader hoisted the white flag at the turn. Chasing behind SOULWRITER here three starts back, he can burrow through to settle handy enough to make a challenge.

MALIBU DREAM (7) was too far back last start after retreating from a wide gate. Sent to sit parked the start prior, she can secure the easy trip here and be searching for the openings to chime in.

RAFFERTY DELIGHTS (2) darted across to lead them up last start at Marburg and was trying to take them all the way, only to be worried out of it by CIRCLE LINE. He has the gate to feature again.

SELECTIONS: RISKY BUZINESS (5), TODAYS HERO (1), MALIBU DREAM (7), RAFFERTY DELIGHTS (2)
SUGGESTED BET: RISKY BUZINESS (5) to win

RACE SIX

CANNAN (3)
started from inside the second line last start and settled in the trail, could not go with them in the closing stages. Runner-up here tow starts back when sent forward from gate 5 to take control, only to be nabbed near the line, he can take control here and look to see it out.

BELLA GODIVA (8) was beaten by the wide gate last start at Marburg when retreating from outside the front line. Sent to the front at Kilcoy two runs back, she was trying to fight them off when nailed in the last stride to go under an eyelash. With the right trail through she can issue the challenge.

ALWAYS AT NIGHT (5) was off the second line and trying to chase last start when midfield behind CIRCLE LINE. Down the line on the grass at Kilcoy the start prior, he has podium claims in this line up.

GETALOADATHISGIRL (9) had this same gate last start when trying to launch a closing raid and coming up 8m short of the winner MISTER WOODPORT. She can be trying to join in late.

SELECTIONS: CANNAN (3), BELLA GODIVA (8), ALWAYS AT NIGHT (5), GETALOADATHISGIRL (9)
SUGGESTED BET:   CANNAN (3) to win

RACE SEVEN

FORTYFIVE ROCK (1)
has been gripped by a winning drought that has extended close to 18 months. Fading out last start from the 1x1 trail, the start prior he was 9m away after sitting parked. With the hustle to burrow through and the absence of pressure, this looks his best chance to turn the fortunes.

SHOWEM SIMON (5) ticked over 12 months since his last victory and last start at Marburg showed early hustle before fading after taking cover. He strikes a race where he is one of only two runners that can offer a cheque in their past five starts and limiting the early work will aid his cause.

IT AINT ROYAL (4) was probing for a run last start at Marburg that did not present and he went to the line not fully tested. Not that far away on the grass two starts back, he can be sharper here.

BUSTABALLOON (6) was asked to roll the sleeves for the hard yards outside the leader last start at Marburg and he was game in only going under by 6m. The wide gate hurts, yet he is a podium hope.

SELECTIONS: FORTYFIVE ROCK (1), SHOWEM SIMON (5), IT AINT ROYAL (4), BUSTABALLOON (6)
SUGGESTED BET: FORTYFIVE ROCK (1) to win
