RACE ONE

The first of four Goldstrike Heats on the day, with each heat seeing all horses on the same handicap. HANDSOME HARRY (4) is a three-time winner from behind the tapes and a two-time winner on this track and from lane 4 can look to capitalise. A Redcliffe winner two starts back, this is within reach.

JANG PEL (1) is on the back up from Friday night at HQ where he looked a chance to finish in the money. Making late metres to grab the bronze behind MISTER DOMINGO two starts back, he can look for the position to issue the challenge.

RISKY BUZINESS (10) is yet to land a win from behind the tapes but his record on this deck is better than any of his opposition with six wins around the tight circuit. Better out in front, he is a podium hope.

ROCCO VARIETY (7) faces these conditions for the first time in his career but the Weidemann horses are generally great exponents of the stand start getaway. With the right trip, he can chime in.

SELECTIONS: HANDSOME HARRY (4), JANG PEL (1), RISKY BUZINESS (10), ROCCO VARIETY (7)
SUGGESTED BET: HANDSOME HARRY (4) to win

RACE TWO

MAFFIOSO GIRL (1) was a winner from deep in the pack here three starts back after shaking free at the 450m and powering home over the top to claim a smart win. Under 6m from the winner at her next attempt, she is a six-time winner here on the Little M and has the gate to make it seven.

ALLSTAR SEA (6) will take benefit from his latest outing where he was resuming from a spell. Chasing home for the bronze from the pocket trail behind HOLDINGNO CURRENCY, he will be tucked away again here and searching for the gaps to issue a challenge.

AQUA CRUISER (7) claimed a starchy victory at Redcliffe two runs back when rolling forward to sit parked and grafting out the win. With a close to 50% top-three strike rate on this deck, he is in the mix.

WESTERN SHOWGIRL (2) was first up from a spell last time out when midfield as STUDLEIGH WILL scored over the AP mile. Settling handy to the action and with added fitness, she can feature.

SELECTIONS: MAFFIOSO GIRL (1), ALLSTAR SEA (6), AQUA CRUISER (7), WESTERN SHOWGIRL (2)
SUGGESTED BET: MAFFIOSO GIRL (1) to win

RACE THREE

ROCKNROLL DA GAMA (4)
only has the one win here at Marburg but does have dome nice figures from behind the tapes. Launching a closing raid at Redcliffe last start when 4m in arrears of the winner, he can get away safely to find the position to take his shot.

DOOLITTLE DOOZZIE (2) was asked to do it the tough way last start when sitting parked and after the tough trip was unable to finish it off when the power went on. A passing lane 3rd in mare’s company two starts back, she can find a handy spot here to issue a challenge.

DELIGHTFUL RAINBOW (9) is 1 from 1 from the tapes and been racing in nice form in recent weeks. Shooting for a hat-trick two starts back, she was buried from inside the second line. She is a podium hope here.

IMA BIRUBI BOY (8) has a handy record on this deck and lines up after a last start passing lane victory over the AP mile. With a clear passage through the traffic, he can chime in.

SELECTIONS: ROCKNROLL DA GAMA (4), DOOLITTLE DOOZZIE (2), DELIGHTFUL RAINBOW (9), IMA BIRUBI BOY (8)
SUGGESTED BET: ROCKNROLL DA GAMA (4) to win

RACE FOUR

MELTON INSULTED (1) is at her best when setting the speed here at Marburg with 4 of her 5 wins claimed when out in front. Just a head in arrears of MI FURIOSO TORO last start, she has the early bullets to take control here and from the front can look to dictate.

MISS MIA (6) took the trail over the 2138 at HQ last time out and when the gap presented had the closing speed to cruise past to a 4m winning margin. Tucked away again from this alley, she will be relying on a gap to present to chase down her 5th win on this circuit.

HARRY KANE (7) makes his first appearance on this track and has managed to snare one minor in five attempts this season. Making nice closing metes last start behind ROCK HAMMER, he will be trying to offer late.

IMA BEACH BABE (5) is afforded no favours from the outside paint, but she has been thereabouts of late and has good numbers here to be thereabouts.

SELECTIONS: MELTON INSULTED (1), MISS MIA (6), HARRY KANE (7), IMA BEACH BABE (5)
SUGGESTED BET: MELTON INSULTED (1) to win

RACE FIVE

The third of the Goldstrike heats where ALTANA BLUE (2) can look to make full use of this lane to get off the mark and ahead of the pack early. Flying away under these same conditions four starts back and throwing in a slick sub 28 3rd panel to see it out from the front with 11m to spare, he can look to replicate the performance.

MI FURIOSO TORO (10) rolled forward from gate 6 over the AP mile last start and content to sit parked proved too gritty for his opponents to claim a narrow victory. Runner-up in 3 of his 4 on this deck including when contesting his only ever stand event, he can look to issue a challenge.

MISTER DIAMOND (9) is in the grips of a win drought dating almost 12-months and was asked to work hard in the breeze last start. With the right trip, this is the type of race he can use to recapture some form.

VANITY BAY (7) is staring down a hat-trick of wins after a Redcliffe victory was followed by a swooping win at The Creek. Placed in his only previous stand attempt, he can feature.

SELECTIONS: ALTANA BLUE (2), MI FURIOSO TORO (10), MISTER DIAMOND (9), VANITY BAY (7)
SUGGESTED BET: ALTANA BLUE (2) to win

RACE SIX

BELLA GODIVA (3)
settled in the running line last start after showing some intent to look for a forward position. Unable to go with them in the closing stages, she closed out in nice style two starts back on The Triangle. Forcing the issue, she can look to take control here and see it out.

CHANG (2) burrowed through the middle of runners to hold the position outside the leader last start at Redcliffe and from there was able to graft out a 2nd placing behind HAMDSOME HARRY. Settling up near the speed, he can try to mount a challenge for his 3rd win on this deck.

SONNY ORLANDO (4) eased to the running line last start from gate 3 when finishing midfield over the 2040m trip. Just a half-neck away here three starts back from the second line, he is in the mix.

TALEGGIO (8) was a Redcliffe winner four runs back when powering home over the top before going unplaced at his next three. Sent for a break, he returns here fresh and can chime in with the right trip.

SELECTIONS: BELLA GODIVA (3), CHANG (2), SONNY ORLANDO (4), TALEGGIO (8)
SUGGESTED BET:  BELLA GODIVA (3) to win

RACE SEVEN

The last of the 4 heats looks wide open with 5 of the 9 having never faced these conditions. MISTER REACTOR (8) is one of those but his recent form has been strong and last start he was chasing a hat-trick of wins when 7m from the winner MR MCLAREN. If he can step and weave a passage, he is up to the task.

GLENLEDI COMMANDER (2) was a winner from over this trip from the tapes four runs back when pressing forward from the 20m tape to sit parked and grind out the win. A mover to the front line looks firmly in his favour and he can press the issue early to throw it down.

IDEAL TIGER (7) will take his first attempt from the tapes but brings an excellent strike rate on this deck where he has hit the board in 11 of 13 which includes 4 victories. With the right trip, he can feature.

LUKE JOHN (9) makes his first appearance in Qld after transferring to the Dwyer stable and it is extremely rare to see form from the 1400m Menangle circuit here on the 700m Marburg deck. Strong to the line over the mile two starts back, this will be his first run from the tapes.

SELECTIONS: MISTER REACTOR (8), GLENLEDI COMMANDER (2), IDEAL TIGER (7), LUKE JOHN (9)
SUGGESTED BET:

RACE EIGHT

PAGO PAGO (1)
is having a consistent season where he has hit the board in 7 of 10 starts which includes a win at Redcliffe when leading throughout. Holding on for 3rd in slick time behind the smart WISPER A SECRET last time out over the AP mile, he can burrow through and look to see it out.

GETALOADATHISBRO (2) worked forward to find the front over the 1780 at Redcliffe three runs back and from the front was able to see it out. A late closing 3rd at the same venue followed and he can fire some early bullets here to issue a challenge.

NIGHT NINJA (7) has placed at his past two starts, the latest when gunned down from out in front. An eight-time winner at this track, he can follow through to feature.

SPRINGFIELD SPIRIT (3) found the right race last start and from the pocket trail darted past the leader to score at the milestone 300th race start. Limiting the early burn will be key to his chances.

SELECTIONS: PAGO PAGO (1), GETALOADATHISBRO (2), NIGHT NINJA (7), SPRINGFIELD SPIRIT (3)
SUGGESTED BET: PAGO PAGO (1) to win
