RACE ONE

Four of this field will do battle again after facing off in the last race at Redcliffe on Wednesday night. The leader on that occasion was IMA MIDNIGHT REBEL (3) who can look to dart through again here. Collared in the closing stages in finishing 3rd, she will be gripping on again here.

CHAKANA (6) rolled across from gate 4 to sit parked in the early stages before receiving cover on Wed night. Unable to go with them when the power went on, she was 8m in arrears of the winner. Needing a slice of luck from this alley, she will be probing for the openings.

PUMPKIN PAT (8) was one of the runners not to have gone around at Redcliffe and she lines up off a down the line effort behind the smart looking LOUS DREAM. With the right trip, she can feature.

THE MOSTESS (5) sat in behind the speed on Wed and loomed up, only to be bloused on the wire by POPPY RAE who darted through to score. The wide gate doe her no favours this time.

SELECTIONS: IMA MIDNIGHT REBEL (3), CHAKANA (6), PUMPKIN PAT (8), THE MOSTESS (5)
SUGGESTED BET: IMA MIDNIGHT REBEL (3) to win

RACE TWO

GETALOADTHISBRO (9) will have to negotiate the outside second line but he might just have enough of a form edge on his rivals to prevail. Taking them all the way at Redcliffe four starts back, he was asked to hang tough when parked last start. 2 from 4 on this deck, he can round them up.

WRITEABOUTCHELSEA (1) missed a win through 2022 but finds the right set up here to chase down a drought breaker. Making some late ground last start behind HOLLYWOOD ROOKI, she closed out nicely three back when runner up to SHOWEM SIMON and has the gate to challenge.

THE MACH ARMY (6) will take some benefit from his last start where he was resuming from a spell. Taken back from a wide gate, he did not get warm in the closing stages but will be probing here.

THE CROM (3) was too far back last time over the AP mile and finished near the tail. Settling handy from this gate, he has podium claims.

SELECTIONS: GETALOADTHISBRO (9), WRITEABOUTCHELSEA (1), THE MACH ARMY (6), THE CROM (3)
SUGGESTED BET: GETALOADTHISBRO (9) to win

RACE THREE

Ricky Gordon holds a strong hand in this contest and if able to dart across to find the poles, it could be BEIDERBECKE (2) that can see it out. Returning from a spell last start when sent straight to the front, he faded over the closing stages. This looks more within his reach.

LORD DENZEL (3) is yet to claim victory here at the Little M in 19 attempts, but will be prominent in the run here trying to turn that around. Setting the tempo last start over the AP mile, he was collared up the passing lane by CIRCLE LINE, 1m astern of the winner. He can throw it down again.

CHASIN DREAMZ (8) returns from a spell after fading from the chair last start following the tough run. A two-time winner, she can follow through early and look to chime in over the closing stages.

BELLA GODIVA (9) found her race last start and was able to capitalise by firing out to take control and see it out with 2m to spare. The gate makes the repeat a big ask.

SELECTIONS: BEIDERBECKE (2), LORD DENZEL (3), CHASIN DREAMZ (8), BELLA GODIVA (9)
SUGGESTED BET: BEIDERBECKE (2) to win

RACE FOUR

Sent out as the fav last start from gate 1 BEE GEES BEST (2) had the hustle to lead off the arm before releasing soon after the start. Finishing 3m astern of the winner, he takes his first look at this track and under these conditions, he can be looking to fire off and take them all the way.

TOMMY BLIGH (1) was chasing hard over the AP mile two starts back and ran the winner MISTER DOMINGO to a head margin. Exposed early before receiving cover last start when 9m from MULLUM RUBY, he will secure the soft trip here and can make a challenge if the gap opens.

BETTOR ROCKNROLL (8) will be better suited back to the mobile after facing the tapes last time in a Goldstrike heat. Finding running line cover, he can be looking to chime in.

SPRINGFIELD SPIRIT (5) was making a late raid last time out to grab the silver when 5m from the winner PAGO PAGO. Breaking a winning drought two back, the wide gate makes it tough.

SELECTIONS: BEE GEES BEST (2), TOMMY BLIGH (1), BETTOR ROCKNROLL (8), SPRINGFIELD SPIRIT (5)
SUGGESTED BET: BEE GEES BEST / TOMMY BLIGH (2/1) quinella/exacta

RACE FIVE

The consolation of the Goldstrike where the capacity field and handicaps that were not a factor in the heats come into consideration. MERGE RIGHT (9) will strip fitter from her heat outing where she was resuming from a spell and stepped cleanly to set the speed. Unable to last the trip fresh, she can bounce back.

ALTANA BLUE (3) was sent out as fav to claim his heat but could not find the poles early and was required to sit parked throughout. Fading after a slick last 800m, he was 7m in arrears of the winner MI FURIOSO TORO. The start will be vital and if he can land in front, will be throwing it down.

YOGI (4) was returning from a spell in his heat when making an early error before rolling to sit parked and fighting to claim 3rd. Fitter for the run and taking experience from facing the tapes, he is in the mix.

MON BEL ANGE (2) bounced in front in her heat and walked a pedestrian 66.2 opening half. Unable to repel; the challengers in holding 3rd, she can be up near the action to feature again.

SELECTIONS: MERGE RIGHT (9), ALTANA BLUE (3), YOGI (4), MON BEL ANGE (2)
SUGGESTED BET:

RACE SIX

MASTER CHARLES (3)
is a slick beginner that can look to dart across the front of them and take on the lamp lighting duties. A beaten fav last start on the grass at Kilcoy, he is 1 from 1 here on this deck and from the front will take some stitching on the 700m oval.

STUDLEIGH WILL (2) has worked his way back into some handy form and lines up here after finishing top-two in four of his past five. Grabbing the silver behind MAFFIOSO GIRL last time out after having an early dip, he might will be fired up to look for a prominent position.

ARTFUL MASTER (8) was runner-up last start at Narrabri when chasing home behind ARNOLD STREET. The gate makes it tricky, but he can be making a closing raid.

MISTER DIAMOND (9) has no favours from the outside second line but should appreciate a return to the mobile after making a mess of things form the tapes last start. With even luck he can chime in.

SELECTIONS: MASTER CHARLES (3), STUDLEIGH WILL (2), ARTFUL MASTER (8), MISTER DIAMOND (9)
SUGGESTED BET:  MASTER CHARLES (3) to win

RACE SEVEN

The Goldstrike Final where four heats were conducted here last week for the biggest prize on offer at Marburg. Beginning like a gazelle in his heat, CHANCELESS CENTURY (4) had a steady time early before dialling it up with a sub 56 closing half to claim a 2m margin. With a similar getaway, he might just see this out.

MI FURIOSO TORO (10) is chasing down a hat-trick of wins which includes a smart win in his heat. Making a mess of the start, he reset and chased hard and then had the closing power in a slick closing half to arrive. A tough AP winner the start prior, he can issue the challenge.

JANG PEL (1) has placed at his past three in succession, the latest when searching for the gap that never arrived when 3rd in the heat behind AUNTY FRANCES. From the inside lane, he has podium hopes.

ZACH LOWE (7) was game in taking his heat when sitting parked and claiming a starchy victory with 2m to spare. From the 10m he can be looking to get off the inside to make a play.

SELECTIONS: CHANCELESS CENTURY (4), MI FURIOSO TORO (10), JANG PEL (1), ZACH LOWE (7)
SUGGESTED BET: CHANCELESS CENTURY (4) to win

RACE EIGHT

Taking benefit from his latest outing where he was resuming form a spell, WILLIEWA LIGHTNING (1) comes up with the gate to chase his first win of the season. Beaten by the wide gate last start when retreating early, he can burrow through to control this and from the front can look to see it out.

CIRCLE LINE (6) sat in the pocket trail over the AP mile last start and when the passing lane presented, he had the speed to dart through and claim the prize. No passing lane this week and if the 1 does hold up, he will be probing for the openings to make his challenge.

ARTFUL JACK (3) takes his first look at this track and should appreciate an improved alley after facing the outside of the front line and second line at his past two. Runner-up three back, he can feature.

JUST ONE GOOD ONE (7) was snookered back in the pack here last week when returning from a let up and was 8m from the winner PAGO PAGO. With the right trip he can be chiming in.

SELECTIONS: WILLIEWA LIGHTNING (1), CIRCLE LINE (6), ARTFUL JACK (3), JUST ONE GOOD ONE (7)
SUGGESTED BET: WILLIEWA LIGHTNING (1) to win

RACE NINE

HES SWEET (2)
started from gate 3 last start and after showing the early hustle to lead, released the speed and was chasing hard when 5m from the winner. Runner-up two starts back behind NO MOTIVE, he can settle close enough to the action to capitalise.

TORQUE ONETWOTHREE (1) was locked away on the poles two starts back and made a closing raid to finish 2m from the swooping winner VANITY BAY where she may have been closer if the gap arrived sooner. With speed out of the machine when required, she will be trying to see it out.

ROCK SUPREME (6) will be requiring some luck for a gap to open from this gate. Midfield behind MACH DADDY last start, he was game when 3rd from a wide gate the start prior and will be probing.

MELTON INSULTED (3) made full use of her opportunities from gate 1 last start and took them all the way. She can have an early dip here in search of a podium result.

SELECTIONS: HES SWEET (2), TORQUE ONETWOTHREE (1), ROCK SUPREME (6), MELTON INSULTED (3)
SUGGESTED BET: HES SWEET (2) to win
