RACE ONE

JAMAICAN RESORT (2)
was required to roll the sleeves and do the hard yards from this gate last start when sitting parked and fading after the tough trip. Fighting on for the bronze from the same position two starts back, he can look for the front here and get his chance to fight them off.

FLOORLESS (3) was exposed early before receiving cover two starts back before making a closing raid to grab the silver. Too far back last start after starting from the second line and unable to get into the battle, she can be closer here to issue the challenge.

HANDSOME HARRY (9) was required to work in the run over the 2200 stand at Marburg last start and wilted after the trip. A passing lane winner here three back, he can descend on them to feature.

FORTYFIVE ROCK (1) released the speed from this gate over this trip last start when fading to the second half of the pack behind EASTBRO TEX. With another soft trip, he can grab a minor.

SELECTIONS: JAMAICAN RESORT (2), FLOORLESS (3), HANDSOME HARRY (9), FORTYFIVE ROCK (1)
SUGGESTED BET: JAMAICAN RESORT (2) to win

RACE TWO

KING OF KAOS (1) resumes from a spell and will be lining up for Chloe Butler for the first time. Last raced back in July when sent to sit parked from gate 5 and fading to the rear, he has trialled in good order for the return and lands the gate to capitalise first up.

RAMBLING ON (3) should appreciate a return to the front line after her past two have been from the second line. Darting back to the passing lane looking for short cuts last start to grab the bronze, she was collared late when leading here three back and will be firing early bullets to throw it down.

COCONUT CUTIE (2) was chasing but could not get warm last start when down the line behind BOUNTYHUNTER. Settling handy to the action, she can look to chime in here.

SHESFEELINGSPECIAL (4) used inside runs here two starts back to hold 2nd behind MOONAN NINA. Not much was in her favour last start and she can be thereabouts here.

SELECTIONS: KING OF KAOS (1), RAMBLING ON (3), COCONUT CUTIE (2), SHESFEELINGSPECIAL (4)
SUGGESTED BET:

RACE THREE

AWAYOVERNIGHT (5)
faced the second line last start over the AP mile when trying to wind up late but could not reel in the leader and winner MISTER WOODPORT. Given no favours here from gate 6 two starts back when sent forward then forced to retreat, this looks well within reach.

SUBTLE ADVICE (9) overcame gate 6 here three starts back, descending on them and pulling clear for a 7m margin with a further 15m back to 3rd. Down the line from fence trips at his past two, getting home wider out looks more beneficial here.

SMOKING ZAK (1) was returning from a spell last start when sent out fav from gate 2, leading them up and fading to a distance last. Taken back to the trials with a sharper effort, he can feature.

AROONA (3) has had two runs back from a spell, the latest when fading out after a fence trip from gate 4. Forgiving that effort when a number of horses struggled on the day, he can be thereabouts.

SELECTIONS: AWAYOVERNIGHT (5), SUBTLE ADVICE (9), SMOKING ZAK (1), AROONA (3)
SUGGESTED BET: AWAYOVERNIGHT (5) to win

RACE FOUR

POPPY RAE (8) made the perfect start to her career when scoring on debut. Buried away three back from the inside second line, she darted between a gap, attacking the line hard to claim a 2m margin. With the added experience, she can look to go 2 for 2.

SURFER JOE (9) eased from gate 6 last start and from deep in the pack was not able to get into the contest. 6m away when 2nd two starts back, if he can pop into the running line cheaply, he can be making a closing challenge.

CERTAINLYCALLITIN (1) will relish his chance from an improved gate after an extended run of wide and second line gates. With good arm hustle, he can be in the fight for a long way.

RIGHTYO (6) settled in the 1x1 trail last start and owned superior closing speed to descend on them and claim a 3m maiden breaking win. The gate makes the repeat a tough ask.

SELECTIONS: POPPY RAE (8), SURFER JOE (9), CERTAINLYCALLITIN (1), RIGHTYO (6)
SUGGESTED BET: POPPY RAE (8) to win

RACE FIVE

ALLSTAR SEA (6)
is given no favours from the wide gate but his three runs since resuming from a spell all point to him being ready to breakthrough. Placed in all three, he was wide off the track last start for 2nd to KORLOFF NOIR and he can unleash some closing power to arrive.

ARTFUL JACK (3) was sent forward at Marburg last start and required to work hard outside the leader when fighting on for 3rd. Beaten by gate 6 here two starts back when wide off the track over the closing stages, he finds the right set up here to issue a challenge.

BUKTHSYSTEM (1) has had two runs back from a spell and should be tightened from those efforts. With the chance of a cosy trip behind the speed, he can be chiming in.

BETTING BARON (7) was hemmed away against the poles last start when midfield to BLING THE LUCK and looks set to be snookered away once again. He can be probing for a podium finish.

SELECTIONS: ALLSTAR SEA (6), ARTFUL JACK (3), BUKTHSYSTEM (1), BETTING BARON (7)
SUGGESTED BET: ALLSTAR SEA (6) to win

RACE SIX

COLBY ART (3)
was first up in Qld two starts back when tackling the AP mile. Trying to see it out from the front end, he was collared in the closing strides to be 2m in arrears of the winner REGAZO DI TILLY. Taking them all the way here last start, his middle trip numbers present the only concern.

HIGH ON MONTANA (5) is another that might be left exposed at the trip, having landed just 1 win in 42 attempts beyond the mile journey. Chiming in late to be 6m from the winner DELIGHTFUL RAINBOW over this journey last time, he can look to defy the numbers to challenge.

TRACER BULLET (6) is afforded no favours from the car park but is racing well enough to be a factor. 4m astern of the winner to hold 3rd after leading them up last start, he can be joining in.

FOR NO REASON (2) can settle handy enough to the action to strike late. With limited exposure at the middle trip, she will be relying on some factors in her favour.

SELECTIONS: COLBY ART (3), HIGH ON MONTANA (5), TRACER BULLET (6), FOR NO REASON (2)
SUGGESTED BET:  COLBY ART (3) to win

RACE SEVEN

LOVIN MISS DIXIE (1)
had this same gate last start and darted through to hold then wide and was looking to take them all the way. Trying to dial it up through the last 800, she was unable to see it out, finishing 4m adrift of the winner. With chance to repel them again, she can see this one out.

IMA BEACH BABE (4) has placed in four of her past five, finishing as the runner-up at her past two in succession. Looking for gaps from the trail last time when 2m from NEVADA YANKEE, if she can land handy and limit the early burn, she can mount a serious challenge.

ASHLEE NITRO (8) is never too far from the action in these races with her latest result a 3rd in a second division mare’s qualifier at HQ. She will be making a closing raid to chime in.

WESTERN ACTION (7) was never in the mix last start after retreating off the arm. With the chance to follow through behind the speed, he can be probing for a podium finish.

SELECTIONS: LOVIN MISS DIXIE (1), IMA BEACH BABE (4), ASHLEE NITRO (8), WESTERN ACTION (7)
SUGGESTED BET: LOVIN MISS DIXIE (1) to win

RACE EIGHT

VODKA EN ICE (1)
will relish his chance from the good draw after all four runs since returning from a spell have been either wide or from the second line. Settled in the 1x1 last start from the second line and finishing midfield, he has the early speed to find position and avail the options.

WHATA TERROR (7) faced gate 6 over the 2040 last start and was trying to make a late raid wide off the track when grabbing 3rd behind big winner KORLOFF NOIR. Working hard when parked the start prior from gate 6, he looks set for the stalking trip here and will be waiting to pounce.

ILLBEWATCHING (9) eased from gate 5 last start to find the poles and then did not really get into the contest. A winner here four runs back, he can find a spot to be making a closing play.

PRESS STATEMENT (4) will find this race a shade or two easier than his last assignment over the AP mile behind TORQUE LIKE MOTION. Positioning cheaply will be key to his chances.

SELECTIONS: VODKA EN ICE (1), WHATA TERROR (7), ILLBEWATCHING (9), PRESS STATEMENT (4)
SUGGESTED BET: Exotics 1-4-7-9

RACE NINE

JACCKA WALLY (2)
darted across from gate 4 last time out over the AP mile and once in front was able to lay out a career peak 1.54.1 mile. Just collared from gate 7 the start prior, he is 3 from 4 here on The Triangle and looks to get every chance to dictate.

O B LEGAL (1) has been hitting some nice areas in recent outings but will need to take another step up here in this 70Heat as just a 55 rated performer but does have the benefit of the inside alley. Bereft of luck last start when searching for a gap, he can be probing here for the opening.

OUR ACTION MAN (5) overcame this same gate last time out when able to charge home in the closing stages of the 2040m contest to score. Any tempo here will aid his closing chances.

JUST JOHSIN (7) will secure the soft trip against the markers and be awaiting the gap to chime in. Too far back last start at the 2040, he will be probing.

SELECTIONS: JACCKA WALLY (2), O B LEGAL (1), OUR ACTION MAN (5), JUST JOHSIN (7)
SUGGESTED BET: JACCKA WALLY (2) to win

RACE TEN

MIDNIGHT SOMEWHERE (1)
was exposed early in a slick tempo at HQ before receiving cover and then was out of bullets over the closing stages. Strong to the line two starts back when under 3m from the winner MI FURIOSO TORO, he comes up with the options to land a 2023 breakthrough.

FAVREAU (2) was beaten by the outside second line gate last start when angled to the pegs for the short cuts but unable to finish it off. 6m from HE SAID SHE SAID two starts back, he can force the issue here to throw down the challenge.

FLO RYDA (7) will be hemmed away here with the soft trip and be searching for openings to make a closing raid. Making late ground for the bronze last start, he can be finding the podium again.

ROYAL PRINCESS (8) is a three-time winner this season from 8 starts, her latest when taking them all the way, with all three wins when leading. The draw makes it tougher, but she can be chiming in.

SELECTIONS: MIDNIGHT SOMEWHERE (1), FAVREAU (2), FLO RYDA (7), ROYAL PRINCESS (8)
SUGGESTED BET: MIDNIGHT SOMEWHERE (1) to win
