RACE ONE

TEAM SPORT (8)
started an odds-on elect from this same gate last time out and after being sent around them to sit parked, was grinding it out in finishing runner-up to IMA MIDNIGHT REBEL. Finishing the bridesmaid in 3 of his past 4 starts, he can defy the gate to chase the breakthrough.

SWEET RIPPIN (4) arrives from the New England region of NSW after 24 previous attempts at victory have fallen short. Midfield last start at Tamworth after being snookered from gate 1, she can look to settle handy to the action to issue a challenge.

JOEYS ON A ROLL (5) was trying to see it out in front last time out in a 2YO only contest when finishing a half-head shy of the prize. The gate stings at his first look at this deck.

CYCLONE TONY (1) is a 2YO on debut for Graham Dwyer by Hurrikane Kingcole. With a sound preparatory trial, he finds a suitable mixed maiden to feature first up.

SELECTIONS: TEAM SPORT (8), SWEET RIPPIN (4), JOEYS ON A ROLL (5), CYCLONE TONY (1)
SUGGESTED BET:

RACE TWO

TACTICS ARE ROLLIN (7) had been campaigning at The Creek where she had met some strong performers before coming back here to Redcliffe last start. Making a late raid to be just 1m from the winner FORGIVE ME in that 1780m event, she will be probing for an opening to take her shot.

CHIEF JUJON (1) has struggled to put it together since claiming a 2YO maiden event in July last year. Last start he made an error that ended his chances and the start prior he chased in vain behind THE GROGMOTHER. With the improved gate, he gets the chance to sharpen it right up.

LITTLEDEE (9) resumes from a spell after her last appearance back in December. A winner on this deck two starts back when firing out to take control, she can be chiming in over the closing stages.

OFFICE BAD BOY (3) was making a late raid here two starts back to grab the bronze behind MOONLIGHT BUTCHER when only beaten a neck. He can be thereabouts from this alley.

SELECTIONS: TACTICS ARE ROLLIN (7), CHIEF JUJON (1), LITTLEDEE (9), OFFICE BAD BOY (3)
SUGGESTED BET: TACTICS ARE ROLLIN (7) to win

RACE THREE

This one-win pace is a tricky contest with 7 of the 9 runners breaking their maiden within their past 3 starts. MYSTICAL CHARM (1) fits that mould, claiming her breakthrough three starts back when grafting it out first over and claiming a 2m margin. From the gate she gets the chance to take this.

ALWAYS BE A TORQUE (7) claimed the maiden breaking win three starts back when taking the trail from gate 1 and then darting through along the passing lane to claim victory. Placed in both runs since, the latest when runner-up on the grass at Kilcoy, she can be stalking for an opening.

GEIRANGER RAINBOWS (9) started deep into the red last start from gate 2 when finding the 1x1 trail and finishing4m in arrears of the winner THREE ONE FOUR. The gate makes it tough.

IMA MIDNIGHT REBEL (8) had been building towards a breakthrough with four successive placings and then last start found the front and took them all the way. Winning confidence is a plus.

SELECTIONS: MYSTICAL CHARM (1), ALWAYS BE A TORQUE (7), GEIRANGER RAINBOWS (9), IMA MIDNIGHT REBEL (8)
SUGGESTED BET: Exotics 1-7-8-9

RACE FOUR

FIVE STAR GEM (2) was asked to sit parked last start from gate 3 and after a tough trip was 6m astern of the winner. Placed in both prior runs from the second line including a neck 2nd from gate 9, he has been freshened and finds he right race to go after his second career victory.

TULHURST CUDDLES (7) started from inside the second line last time out over the AP mile and found herself buried in the run. Finishing 6m in arrears of the winner, it followed a midfield return in a second division mare’s qualifier. Relying on hitting a gap with momentum, she can challenge.

MATAI REACTOR (8) was out the back of the pack trying to make ground last start as FORGIVE ME was able to see it out. Second line gates have stung at his past three and he faces another here.

MAKE MINE JOE (4) has been thereabouts in recent outings and last time was making some late metres for the bronze behind ALLSTAR SEA. He can chase some minor money again here.

SELECTIONS: FIVE STAR GEM (2), TULHURST CUDDLES (7), MATAI REACTOR (8), MAKE MINE JOE (4)
SUGGESTED BET: FIVE STAR GEM (2) to win

RACE FIVE

An improved gate after a string of wider gates can be the catalyst for MY GIRL MANDY (1) to chase down another victory. A winner five starts back when settling in the running line and then owning the closing speed to arrive for a 5m margin, not much has gone her way since. This looks ideal.

AWAYOVERNIGHT (9) forced the issue off the arm from gate 5 last time out and was able to get across, take control and then see it out with a 6m break on the chasers. Beaten by the tempo from the second line at HQ the start prior, he can be getting into the battle to challenge in this.

BORDERLINE (7) keeps tapping on the door after finishing as the runner-up at her past three in succession. Beaten a head behind COLBY ART two runs back, she will be probing for the opening.

GETALOADATHISGIRL (2) was a winner on the Kilcoy kikuyu last time out when finishing over the top of them to score. Settling handy to the action from this alley gives her the chance to feature.

SELECTIONS: MY GIRL MANDY (1), AWAYOVERNIGHT (9), BORDERLINE (7), GETALOADATHISGIRL (2)
SUGGESTED BET: MY GIRL MANDY (1) to win

RACE SIX

CHEDDAR MADE BETA (5)
was a winner here four starts back when overcoming this same gate by descending on them in the closing stages to take a 3m margin. Luckless last start from gate 6 over the AP mile after retreating early, positioning cheaply can see him chase his 7th win on this deck.

BRAEVIEW FELLA (2) is still chasing his first win on this deck after 7 previous attempts have come up short. Down the line in a slick mile last start at The Creek, he was too far back in a qualifier the start prior from a wide gate. With arm hustle, he can be up near the action top throw down the challenge.

PURPLE SHADES (3) found himself rearward from this same gate last start when searching for a spot in the running line. Taking inside runs for the bronze three back, he can be making a closing play.

STUDLEIGH SONNY (1) should take great benefit from his best gate in some time and can be tucked away against the poles. Down the line lasty start from outside the second line, he can be sharper.

SELECTIONS: CHEDDAR MADE BETA (5), BRAEVIEW FELLA (2), PURPLE SHADES (3), STUDLEIGH SONNY (1)
SUGGESTED BET: CHEDDAR MADE BETA (5) to win

RACE SEVEN

MAJOR TRALEE (3) has faced wide gates at his past two starts which has resulted in him unable to make closing metres wide off the track. Runner-up here two back when collared in the closing strides after trying to go all the way, he can look for the lamp lighting duties here and be gripping on.

RIPPIN GOOD FEELIN (5) is one of two runners for former Queenslander Jamie Donovan lining up today. A last start Tamworth winner where he was buried in the run before rattling home when the gaps presented, he pressed forward from a wide gate the start prior. He finds a suitable set up here.

VERMONT (1) can enjoy the economical trip in behind the speed here and with the soft trip look to make a passing lane play. Runner-up here three back, she has podium claims once again.

TEACHERS PET (4) was beaten by a wide gate last start and when restrained to find position over the AP mile did pick off some late metres. A return to The Triangle is in her favour.

SELECTIONS: MAJOR TRALEE (3), RIPPIN GOOD FEELIN (5), VERMONT (1), TEACHERS PET (4)
SUGGESTED BET: MAJOR TRALEE (3) to win

RACE EIGHT

MAJOR HOLIDAY (5)
faced a second line alley at his first Qld appearance over the AP mile last time out when finishing in the second half of the pack behind LOUS DREAM. A close-up 3rd at Bathurst two starts back from a wide gate, he faces a tricky alley here but looks up to the challenge.

DELIGHTFUL RAINBOW (1) did not have much go her way last start when searching for a gap that did not open behind WONDERWOMAN JUJON. Forced to work hard first over the start prior at Narrabri, she lands all the options from this gate to capitalise.

BAILEYS WITH LEGS (2) fired off the gate last start from gate 3 and from the front held them all off to claim a smart 12m victory. With the hustle to in front again, she will be searching for a repeat.

ASHLEE NITRO (7) held the 1x1 trail last start from gate 8 but could not go with them when the speed went on, finishing 10m astern of the winner. With the soft trip, he will be trying to chime in.

SELECTIONS: MAJOR HOLIDAY (5), DELIGHTFUL RAINBOW (1), BAILEYS WITH LEGS (2), ASHLEE NITRO (7)
SUGGESTED BET:

RACE NINE

BOTTLE ROCK (7) will be relying on some factors in his favour, but following through in the early stages can find himself in a stalking position. 3m from MI FURIOSO TORO at Marburg two starts back, it followed a 3rd over the AP mile. He will be awaiting the gap to dart through.

MONTANA EXPRESS (1) overcame gate 6 here two starts back when sent forward to sit parked and despite the tough trip was able to grind out a 2m margin. A beaten fav last start, he can use the inside advantage at the 2040 start to burrow through and be gripping on.

REASON TO BE (8) was first up in Qld last time out when starting from inside the second line and using the passing lane to get within a head of the winner A WHOLE LOTTA ROSIE. He can chime in.
HES SWEET (2) has poor numbers beyond the mile but has an opportunity to limit the early work here. Close to the speed with the limited work can see him chime into the minor money.

SELECTIONS: BOTTLE ROCK (7), MONTANA EXPRESS (1), REASON TO BE (8), HES SWEET (2)
SUGGESTED BET: Exotics 1-2-7-8
