RACE ONE

TEAM SPORT (1)
will relish the chance to start tight on the poles after facing wide gates since arriving in Qld. Midfield from gate 6 behind LOUS DREAM three runs back at HQ, he was then a game 2nd here after being sent to sit parked from gate 8. From the ace, he looks to get every hope.

LYDIAS ART (2) was first up in Qld last start and making his first 3YO appearance when snookered on the poles before finding late gaps to grab the silver behind IMTHECANDYMAN. Starting from inside the second line, he will strip fitter for the run and be close enough to issue a challenge.

THEMOSTESS (7) can secure the economical trip here and tucked in behind the action can await the gaps to challenge for a minor.

PUMPKIN PAT (8) has only had one previous start here at the Peninsula where she was asked to sit parked and was only 3m from the winner. With the right trip, she can feature back in this line up.

SELECTIONS: TEAM SPORT (1), LYDIAS ART (2), THEMOSTESS (7), PUMPKIN PAT (8)
SUGGESTED BET: TEAM SPORT (1) to win

RACE TWO

WATERLINE (1) was sent to the post in red figures last start from gate 6 over the AP mile. Not having much luck in securing position, she was wide and fighting when under 3m from the winner ASTROPHILIA. Placed in both prior starts, she gets the chance to capitalise.

MAJOR HOLIDAY (7) was wide off he track last start at his first run here on The Triangle after being sent to the post as fav. That followed a second line run return behind LOUS DREAM over the AP mile. This is a huge drop in class to his past two and if he spots the gap in time, he can take this.

IMTHECANDYMAN (4) broke through for his first victory here last week after darting off the arm to find the front and claim a 5m margin. The wider gate hurts but the winning confidence is a plus.

ALWAYS BE A TORQUE (3) has been in the money at her past four starts including a maiden breaking win on this deck three runs back via the passing lane. She can be thereabouts once again.

SELECTIONS: WATERLINE (1), MAJOR HOLIDAY (7), IMTHECANDYMAN (4), ALWAYS BE A TORQUE (3)
SUGGESTED BET:  WATERLINE / MAJOR HOLIDAY (1/7) quinella and exactas

RACE THREE

GETALOADATHISGIRL (7)
was a Kilcoy winner two starts back when finishing over the top of them and pulling away to an 8m margin. 8m away last start from the running line, she can tuck in behind the speed and line up for the passing lane when it arrives.

CHIEF JUJON (1) burrowed through from this same gate last time out when trying to take them all the way. Fading over the closing stages to finish out of the money, he gets the chance to set the tempo once again and will be gripping on down the stretch.

WHATA REACTOR (9) was too good for them from the second line on this deck two starts back when making her run to descend. Not suited last start on the Kilcoy kikuyu, she can chime in here.

OFFICE BAD BOY (4) settled in the running line last start when settling midfield behind TACTICS ARE ROLLIN. Just a neck away three starts back, he can make a closing raid here to feature.

SELECTIONS: GETALOADATHISGIRL (7), CHIEF JUJON (1), WHATA REACTOR (9), OFFICE BAD BOY (4)
SUGGESTED BET: GETALOADATHISGIRL (7) to win

RACE FOUR

RIGHTYO (5) broke his maiden status three starts back when powering over the top from a second line gate. Faced with gate 6 last start and strong to the line to be under 2m from the winner GIRANGER RAINBOWS, he finds the set up to descend in the stretch.

FIVE STAR GEM (7) eased to the poles from gate 2 last start and hemmed away then faced a chequered passage and never got a chance to challenge. Game in defeat after sitting parked tow starts back, he will be locked away again, but with better luck can spot a gap to challenge.

POPPY RAE (6) was a winner on debut when slicing through a gap to finish best. Placed in both runs since the win, the latest was a smart effort after an early error and he can be chiming in once again.

TEGAN LEE (3) started her career in the best way possible, firing off the arm and taking them all the way. She steps up to all ages here but the race experience will help her chances.

SELECTIONS:
RIGHTYO (5), FIVE STAR GEM (7), POPPY RAE (6), TEGAN LEE (3)
SUGGESTED BET: RIGHTYO (5) to win

RACE FIVE

OUR UNCLE LES (8)
started deep into the red last start in a 1 win pace and was rolled after sitting parked in finishing 2m astern of the winner GOTTA DREAM. This is another step back up in grade but with the right map and limiting the work, he can look to bounce back.

VERMONT (3) held the pocket trail from gate 1 last time out and then darted through along the passing lane to grab the silver, just 1m from the winner. Tackling a tougher mare’s contest two starts back when down the line behind BETTYS LASS, she can find the spot to issue a challenge.

DIEGO DELGADO (6) pressed forward from this same gate last start and sitting parked was able to graft out a 3rd place when just 5m from the winner. The outside paint makes it a tough ask.

ABBEY DIADEMA (7) was a winner here three starts back when finishing best after securing the 1x1 trail in transit. Chasing late for the silver behind MONTERY JACK two back, she will be probing.

SELECTIONS: OUR UNCLE LES (8), VERMONT (3), DIEGO DELGADO (6), ABBEY DIADEMA (7)
SUGGESTED BET:

RACE SIX

PRECIOUS CULLEN (2)
fired out from gate 4 to take control here last week and was trying to see it out when grabbed in the closing strides, finishing 2m from the winner. A tough winner when parked here four starts back, he has the arm hustle to take control and gets the chance to dictate.

SHAKATIE (1) started fav last time out at Kilcoy where from gate 3 she was unable to get across and had to settle in the running line, grabbing a late closing 3rd. Midfield in both Marburg starts prior, she comes up with the gate to settle in the stalking spot, ready to pull the trigger.

AWAYOVERNIGHT (7) pressed the issue here two starts back from gate 6 and finding the front and seeing it out to claim a 6m margin. Trailing the speed, he will be probing for the openings.

PAGO PAGO (4) was a beaten fav here last week when grabbing 3rd behind MAKE MINE JOE. A dictating winner at Marburg three starts back, he faces an awkward alley here.

SELECTIONS: PRECIOUS CULLEN (2), SHAKATIE (1), AWAYOVERNIGHT (7), PAGO PAGO (4)
SUGGESTED BET: Exotics 1-2-4-7

RACE SEVEN

PURPLE SHADES (7)
sat in the running line from gate 3 last start and when angled wider on the track had the closing speed to arrive with 2m to spare, taking the win at big odds. Snagged back two starts back and then unable to warm up, he can secure the soft trip and be ready to strike in the stretch.

TELL ME THIS (4) has been racing in consistent fashion recently, in the money at 6 of his past 7 starts. Working home wide off the track after starting from the second line last start, he grabbed 3rd behind PURPLE SHADES. A return to the front line can see him throw down a challenge.

IMA BEACH BABE (2) was asked to work in the run last start from gate 4 when sent forward to sit parked and was grafting it out when midfield to ASHLEE NITRO. The improved gate is a big help.

BAILEYS WITH LEGS (1) claimed her first win of the season here two runs back when darting off the arm from gate 3 to lead and take them all the way. Burrowing through, she will be gripping on.

SELECTIONS: PURPLE SHADES (7), TELL ME THIS (4), IMA BEACH BABE (2), BAILEYS WITH LEGS (1)
SUGGESTED BET: PURPLE SHADES (7) to win

RACE EIGHT

MELTON INSULTED (2)
was a Marburg winner three runs back when taking control and dictating on the front end. Last start over the AP mile, she found ARTISTIC SAINT too slippery out in front and a return to The Triangle can see her take control and regulating the tempo gets a chance to see it out.

ILLBEWATCHING (9) showed some early hustle off the front line last start before receiving cover. Making a closing play to grab the silver behind ASHLEE NITRO, he was sent around them here two back from this gate and with a similar move here, will be in position to challenge.

STUDLEIGH WILL (1) was midfield from gate 2 here two starts back as CHAL BE took control and then last start was sound from the second line. He has the options here to chime in.

MAFFIOSO GIRL (4) made the most of her opportunity from gate 1 at Marburg last start when burrowing through to set the tempo and take them all the way. This alley makes it tricky.

SELECTIONS: MELTON INSULTED (2), ILLBEWATCHING (9), STUDLEIGH WILL (1), MAFFIOSO GIRL (4)
SUGGESTED BET: MELTON INSULTED (2) to win

RACE NINE

FAVREAU (3)
forced the issue from gate 5 over this trip last start, working forward to take control and from the front took a 5m margin. Forced to do the heavy lifting when parked the start prior, he can press on with it and if able to take control cheaply, will take no end of stopping.

HES SWEET (1) found the poles and took the trail over this trip last start and then held on for the bronze behind subsequent winner REASON TO BE. He maps for another soft trip in behind the speed and can be ready to throw down the closing challenge.

MISSTREPO (2) had the closing speed to arrive from gate 4 here five starts back and grabbed the bronze behind subsequent winner ITS BACK PAGE NEWS three back. She can be close enough to feature.

GABBYS SPORTSTAR (8) was beaten by gate 7 over the AP mile last start which followed a midfield return behind A WHOLE LOTTA ROSIE. With the right trip, he can be chasing some minor money.

SELECTIONS: FAVREAU (3), HES SWEET (1), MISSTREPO (2), GABBYS SPORTSTAR (8)
SUGGESTED BET: FAVREAU (3) to win
