RACE ONE

With one month between his previous two runs, ARKIN WICKED (2) comes into this off successive attempts at the 947 Trot Rods trip. A beaten fav in both attempts, the latest a luckless effort when retreating and then making another stretch drive. From this gate, he can cash in.

THE VICAR OF DIBLEY (7) was first up in Qld off the back of a spell and a transfer from NZ. Sent forward to sit parked from gate 6, she was game in defeat as MOS LONDON claimed a big victory. Not helped from the wide gate here second up, she will be worth following.

GOLDEN FIRE (10) made the perfect start when leading throughout to an effortless victory at her first Qld appearance. The second line makes it a tougher ask here second up.

WHERES OUR MONEY (4) resumes from a spell without a trial after finishing down the line at his last start back in March. A big winner in successive starts on this deck, he can get forward to feature.

SELECTIONS: ARKIN WICKED (2), THE VICAR OF DIBLEY (7), GOLDEN FIRE (10), WHERES OUR MONEY (4)
SUGGESTED BET: ARKIN WICKED (2) to win

RACE TWO

Under the conditions of this contest, all the power looks drawn wide or off the second line. Two off the second, AUNTY BELLA (9) used the passing lane last start after being shuffled to three back and making late metres behind SUMOMENTSOMEWHERE. Not much went right two starts back, while this looks a winnable contest.

SURF ACE (7) was snookered away on the poles last start from inside the second line and was keen in the run. Shuffled to four back at the 900 when eventual winner SUMOMENTSOMEWHERE worked to the front, when the gap opened, his chances were done. The gate stings, but he can challenge.

FEELINGFORARAINBOW (6) was safely into stride from the standing start at his last outing and found the front before releasing and then shuffled back in the run. Back to this grade he has podium claims.

CALA JANE (10) faces a tough gate first up from a spell. Last seen back in January when runner-up to SPEED DATING, she has trialled in smart order for the return and can be making a late raid.

SELECTIONS: AUNTY BELLA (9), SURF ACE (7), FEELINGFORARAINBOW (6), CALA JANE (10)
SUGGESTED BET: AUNTY BELLA (9) to win

RACE THREE

A beaten fav from this same gate when resuming from a spell, AWAYWEGO (6) can look to bounce back with eh added fitness to call on. Eased and settle a long way from the speed when returning, this race looks set to generate some tempo and he can be ready to cash in.

RED RIGHT HAND (9) scored his first win since arriving on this side of the Tasman Sea, when overcoming a second line gate and sweeping by to take a 5m margin in a career PB. A tidy effort two starts back behind WHATA ROLLER, he can position to issue a closing challenge.

WHATA ROLLER (3) was a winner here two starts back in a similar contest when finding the front from gate 4 and taking them all the way in smart time. Fading in the final, he can feature here fresh.

DANCE FOR GLORY (10) made his 200th career appearance a memorable one last time out when claiming a 70Final, making a mid-race retake at the 1000 and fighting them off. He can chime in.

SELECTIONS: AWAYWEGO (6), RED RIGHT HAND (9), WHATA ROLLER (3), DANCE FOR GLORY (10)
SUGGESTED BET: AWAYWEGO (6) to win

RACE FOUR

Stepping out in a strong Saturday night 3YO contest at his first Qld appearance, VAN BASTEN (2) was strong to the line when a half-head short of victory behind QUEENSLANDER. A winner at his three previous starts, he should appreciate a return to the front line and can look to capitalise.

IM FEELING FIREY (9) has been a regular on the Saturday night circuit in recent times and should appreciate a return to midweek level. Midfield after being buried int eh run as FUTURE ASSURED scored a dominant victory last start, he can press through early and look to make a closing challenge.

MY ULTIMATE LEVI (8) was sent forward in the middle stages to take control over the 2138 last start but was unable to see it out when 3m from the winner MAKARA. He will be probing for open road.

ELOUISA DALE (3) was a winner in mare’s company three starts back when finishing the front and taking them all the way. Runner-up in both subsequent appearances, she can be thereabouts.

SELECTIONS: VAN BASTEN (2), IM FEELING FIREY (9), MY ULTIMATE LEVI (8), ELOUISA DALE (3)
SUGGESTED BET:

RACE FIVE

In a tricky contest to open the quaddie, TORQUE TO THE MUSIC (9) can follow through in the early stages to find position. A winner here three back from gate 7 when forcing the issue to take control and then see it out in a PB win, he will be reliant on some tempo but looks up to the task.

CARTER GRANT (7) settled in the 1x1 trail last time out against his own age in the Breeders Consolation and had the closing speed to arrive for a 2m margin. Collared the start prior behind subsequent winner BLING THE LUCK, he can look to defy the outside paint.

LULU MAE (3) was making her first appearance in Qld here last week when releasing for the trail at the 2138. Finishing best of the chasers when 5m from the winner SAN MAREA, the added fitness helps.

PEPPA BLISS (8) was beaten by gate 12 last start over the 2138 after settling near the rear as SAN MAREA took the prize. Buried from gate 10 the start prior, she will be probing for openings.

SELECTIONS: TORQUE TO THE MUSIC (9), CARTER GRANT (7), LULU MAE (3), PEPPA BLISS (8)
SUGGESTED BET: TORQUE TO THE MUSIC (9) to win

RACE SIX

Striking trouble at her first run following a tilt at the NSW Oaks, CHEER LEADER (1) was freshened before tackling a strong 3YO Saturday night contest at her latest start. Gate 7 made the task infinitely harder with the race controlled in front. With the gate advantage she can capitalise.

NEVADA YANKEE (8) powered up early to take control and take them all the way in scoring a Trot Rods victory over the 947 last time out. Chasing from the running line the start prior when midfield, he maps for the soft trip in behind the speed and can look to issue some sort of closing challenge.

BETTING ORIGIN (10) has placed at his past three in succession, the latest from the fence when making late metres in finishing 5m from MOSSDALE MAC. The gate does him no favours.

IM BILLS LAST (5) was second up in Qld last start when striking trouble that ended his chances. Asked to graft it out first over at his first AP appearance, limiting the workload can see him feature.

SELECTIONS: CHEER LEADER (1), NEVADA YANKEE (8), BETTING ORIGIN (10), IM BILLS LAST (5)
SUGGESTED BET:  CHEER LEADER (1) to win

RACE SEVEN

An interesting contest looms here with a pair of first starters, both arriving from NZ with solid trial form and both making their first public appearance in Qld. INTO THE MYSTIC (4) gains the verdict owing to the gate advantage with the 4YO mare prepared by Ben Battle showing nice trial form where she led up in one and chased nicely in the other.

WATCH THE GREAT ONE (8) is a 3YO by Hes Watching that joins the Butler stable, his latest trail in Auckland where he found he front early and controlled the race with a smart closing quarter. The gate makes it a little awkward, but he looks the main danger.

SWEETNSPICY (1) will take some benefit from her first up run here last week when finishing down the line behind the talented looking GOLDEN FIRE. The improved gate helps her claims.

APRIL IN PARIS (2) was on debut in the same race claimed by GOLDEN FIRE where she faced a second line gate. Off the front line with added experience, she can feature.

SELECTIONS: INTO THE MYSTIC (4), WATCH THE GREAT ONE (8), SWEETNSPICY (1), APRIL IN PARIS (2)
SUGGESTED BET: INTO THE MYSTIC (4) to win

RACE EIGHT

Freshened following her last start victory when leading throughout, MACARENA MADI (2) will be third up from a spell but six weeks between runs. Chasing home behind BRONSKI DELIGHT when resuming, she capitalised from gate 1 second up. Early mapping looks the key to her chances.

ODINS BLACK CROWS (1) was asked to sit parked last start and after the tough trip was 7m in arrears of the winner BLING THE LUCK. Runner-up after a tough trip here three starts back when just a neck from MISS BAY KING COLE, a string of wide gates have made it a tough season.

SHEZ ALL STYLE (3) rolled across from gate 5 to take control over the 2138 here last week but could not see it out when midfield behind SAN MAREA. A winner over this trip three back, she is in the mix.

ROCK HAMMER (8) faced the outside front line over the middle trip last week when retreating to settle at the rear. Attacking the line in nice order down the stretch, he will be probing for the gaps.

SELECTIONS: MACARENA MADI (2), ODINS BLACK CROWS (1), SHEZ ALL STYLE (3), ROCK HAMMER (8)
SUGGESTED BET:

RACE NINE

Making her first race appearance in the fillies Consolation of the Breeders, MISSED CONSEQUENCES (1) returned a starchy performance after sitting parked and grinding out a half-head margin. Coming up with the right gate, she has the options and added experience to remain undefeated.

ELLIS STREET (3) was asked to hang tough again last start in the Breeders Final when sitting parked and finishing 5m from the winner QUIK CHANGE. Beaten a lip here three starts back after a tough trip by RYLEE RHAYNE BOW, he might just need to roll the sleeves once again.

FORCE FULL (6) us a Sweet Lou gelding on debut for Shannon Price that has trialled in nice order for his first race appearance. The wide gate does make it a tough ask first up.

SPLASHNDASH (8) found the pocket trail last start and when the gap presented was able to sprint sharply to claim a 3m margin over subsequent winner GEM PUMNTER PETE. A cosy trip ensues.

SELECTIONS: MISSED CONSEQUENCES (1), ELLIS STREET (3), FORCE FULL (6), SPLASHNDASH (8)
SUGGESTED BET: MISSED CONSEQUENCES (1) to win

RACE TEN

Resuming from a spell in fine style with a victory from gate 4, KENETURIO (3) was sent forward on that occasion to set the tempo and was able to pull clear to an 11m margin. Runner-up after retreating early when second up as HIDE AND SEEK prevailed, she can look to stay ahead of the main threat.

IMA GYPSY QUEEN (4) showed the difference between the stands and the mobile star when returning to mobile conditions last week and scoring an effortless victory with 20m to spare over the runner-up. Breaking maiden ranks with that victory, she can look to go on with it here.

DEXTROUS DEXTER (2) was best of the chasers here last week behind IM A GYPSY QUEEN after dropping into the trail. He can look for the poles early to fill a minor.

SELECTIONS: KENETURIO (3), IMA GYPSY QUEEN (4), DEXTROUS DEXTER (2)
SUGGESTED BET: KENETURIO (3) to win
