RACE ONE

Fitter again after his last start where he was second up from a spell, RAZZLEME DAZZLEME (3) can chase down successive wins for the first time in his short career. Safely, albeit steadily away last start, he was settled three back in single file before moving up to the leader and taking the prize.

MISS MEMPHIS (6) was back behind the tapes for the first time this season here last week where she got the perfect start, found the front and dictated thereafter to claim a 2m margin. Moving back the 10m for the win, another start like last week will see her well-placed to challenge.

GLENEAGLE REIGN (4) was safely away from the 10m here last week after starting a long odds-on fav, had an early look before retreating again back to the poles in the small field. Making a late raid to finish runner-up to MISS MEMPHIS, he can go close again.

SELECTIONS: RAZZLEME DAZZLEME (3), MISS MEMPHIS (6), GLENEAGLE REIGN (4)
SUGGESTED BET: RAZZLEME DAZZLEME (3) to win

RACE TWO

She looked to have found the right conditions last week but SET ME FREE (1) was unable to put them away and had to settle for an unplaced return when 5m in arrears of the winner. Off the front tape again here, she can step away and looks to get every chance to claim a breakthrough.

CONNIES PRESIDENT (3) was building towards victory and franked that assessment when stepping cleanly and taking them all the way here two starts back. Trying to make ground on them last start, she was well held as IM A GYPSY QUEEN took the prize. With a safe start, she can be challenging.

JUST CALL ME MOLLY (4) started from the 10mlast time out and went searching for short cuts when 5m from IM A GYPSY QUEEN. A safe start and getting handy can see her right in the mix here.

MARLEY NOVA (2) gives away experience as she chases a maiden breaking victory, but she might have found suitable conditions here. A small field can see her in position to feature.

SELECTIONS: SET ME FREE (1), CONNIES PRESIDENT (3), JUST CALL ME MOLLY (4), MARLEY NOVA (2)
SUGGESTED BET: SET ME FREE (1) to win

RACE THREE

Starting in red figures last time out in the Breeders Consolation, ROCKON ROCKY (6) set the tempo from gate 1 but had no answers in the stretch to miss the money. Freshened and with a sharp trial here last Monday, he can look to bounce back from the wide gate and open the account.

FORCE FULL (5) was snagged off the arm from gate 7 last week and from the rear was never a factor as FACT FINDER dictated in front. Asked to hang tough here two starts back from this same gate, he can get forward and with further experience, issue the challenge.

HATTIES JEWEL (4) found the trail from gate 4 last start and was not too far from the winner GO COLOUR MY WORLD. With early hustle, she can be prominent in the run to stake a claim.

SHEZ GOT TORQUE (1) eased from gate 5 last start and was soon buried in the run when midfield behind FACT FINDER. With an economical peg trip from the start, she has podium claims.

SELECTIONS: ROCKON ROCKY (6), FORCE FULL (5), HATTIES JEWEL (4), SHEZ GOT TORQUE (1)
SUGGESTED BET: ROCKON ROCKY (6) to win

RACE FOUR

Continuing to press towards a victory BLACKJACK BETH (3) was an eyelash short of victory here last week when taking the last shot up the passing lane. Placed both prior starts, she can get forward early again here and looks to find the conditions for a breakthrough.

JUST ONE GOOD ONE (5) was taken off the arm last start at Redcliffe from a wide gate and from back in the pack was unable to get warm in the closing stages. Runner-up in both previous starts in this grade including two back over this trip, he can bounce back here.

RECIPE FOR DREAMING (4) was slick off the arm here last week to find the front and after releasing was soon shuffled to three back. Closing late for the bronze, a return to the mile is a plus.

MATAI REACTOR (9) was picking off some ground last start over the 2138 to be just 2m from the winner EMPRESS BYELINE. Trailing through here can see him in the mix.

SELECTIONS: BLACKJACK BETH (3), JUST ONE GOOD ONE (5), RECIPE FOR DREAMING (4), MATAI REACTOR (9)
SUGGESTED BET: BLACKJACK BETH (3) to win

RACE FIVE

Making her first attempt at this trip here last week, EMPRESS BYELINE (6) was sent forward from this same gate to work her way to the front. Taking control, she was able to see it out with a half-head to spare. Similar tactics will likely unfold, and she looks up for the repeat.

BUSHY BEACH (3) is the big query runner, stepping out in race conditions in Aus for the first time for trainer Jack Trainor. Placed in all four career attempts in NZ, as a 3YO maiden he meets some experienced campaigners here. With a tidy preparatory trial, he stays under watch.

LULU MAE (7) is afforded no favours from the outside gate, a position she started from two starts back when 7m from GOLDEN BAY. Runner-up to THE BEAUDEN BLUES last start, she can chime in.

MAGICOL IDEAL (1) sat parked last start outside the hot fav ALWAYS SMOKIN and fought on gamely to be just out of the money. With the gate benefit, he stays in the mix.

SELECTIONS: EMPRESS BYELINE (6), BUSHY BEACH (3), LULU MAE (7), MAGICOL IDEAL (1)
SUGGESTED BET: EMPRESS BYELINE (6) to win

RACE SIX

Buried from the second line in the Redcliffe Oaks last start, TORQUE LIKE MOTION (3) could have tracked the winner CHEER LEADER into the race but instead looked for short cuts and hit dead ends when 4th. Claiming the 3YO Breeders three runs back, she has the gate to capitalise.

ELOUISA DALE (7) took them all the way from gate 3 here four starts back when firing out and clinging on in a new PB mile. Trying to again see it out in front last start over the 2138 when a half-neck in arrears of the winner, the gate makes it tough, but she is still up to the task.

NOR WESTA (8) was luckless last start when probing for openings that never arrived as KING OF TRUMPS took the prize. Tucked away again here, she will be probing for openings.

SAN MAREA (2) was a winner here four starts back in tough fashion when sent to sit parked from a wide gate and grinding out the win. Placed in all three since, this is her best gate in that period.

SELECTIONS: TORQUE LIKE MOTION (3), ELOUISA DALE (7), NOR WESTA (8), SAN MAREA (2)
SUGGESTED BET: TORQUE LIKE MOTION (3) to win

RACE SEVEN

With further fitness after his last start where it was his fourth run back from a spell, TIZ A SIZZLER (10) should appreciate being able to follow through from this gate. Making a wide run from gate 12 last start when under 2m from the winner TAIRLAW TOLL, this looks within reach.

ITS MR CLOONEY (6) gets back to veteran’s company which looks a nice drop from his recent efforts. Tackling the Redcliffe Cup last start off the back of successive wins, including a win over subsequent Cup winner LOYALIST. The gate stings but he is right up to challenging here.

DESPONDENT (1) fired out from this gate over the middle trip last start and went too hard through the early stages with a 57.9 opening half. Fading out, a return to the mile can see him feature.

APHORISM (8) will stick to the back of the 1 and if hitting the passing lane with momentum, he gets his chance to feature. Runner-up to BITCOIN under similar circumstances two back, he has claims.

SELECTIONS: TIZ A SIZZLER (10), ITS MR CLOONEY (6), DESPONDENT (1), APHORISM (8)
SUGGESTED BET: TIZ A SIZZLER (10) to win

RACE EIGHT

Hitting some good areas in recent weeks, KING OF TRUMPS (2) was rewarded here last week when darting through along the passing lane to score victory. Strong to the line two starts back from a second line gate behind CLASSIE WASHINGTON, he can be close enough to strike again.

SOME CHEVRON (3) was first up in Qld last start when forcing the issue and working his way to the front. Out of bullets turning for home, he was 7m astern of the winner KING OF TRUMPS. He can look for the front again and should take benefit from the outing to issue the challenge here.

PRAY TELL (8) was first up for the Grimson stable last start when talking a mare’s qualifier. Sent around from the second line to sit parked to be 4m from RACY ROXY, she will be probing here.

FREDDY SINGH (10) found the line strongly off a soft fence trip here three starts back. Fading after tough runs at his past two, he can be saved for one shot here to feature.

SELECTIONS: KING OF TRUMPS (2), SOME CHEVRON (3), PRAY TELL (8), FREDDY SINGH (10)
SUGGESTED BET:

RACE NINE

A tricky veteran’s event to close the card where ESCALERA (9) can look to secure the right trail and finish over the top. Just 3m from MIRACLE MOOSE last start in the Redcliffe Cup consolation, he was beaten a similar margin behind ITS MR CLOONEY the start prior. Tempo should be right for this.

LIFE LAVROS (4) was runner-up here two starts back from the pocket trail when making a late raid to be a head from TAIRLAW TOLL. Doing some early work when looking for position here on Sat night behind SEND IT, a return to veteran’s company can see him feature.

IM FEELING FIREY (2) fired out to lead before taking cover here two starts back and then had the closing speed to take the prize. Buried in the run last start, he has some early options to feature.

SWAGGIE SHANNON (1) does not have the best numbers next to his name, but he should appreciate the conditions her finds here. Facing standing start events at his past two, a soft trip here should suit.

SELECTIONS: ESCALERA (9), LIFE LAVROS (4), IM FEELING FIREY (2), SWAGGIE SHANNON (1)
SUGGESTED BET: ESCALERA (9) to win
