RACE ONE

MY RUMOUR HAS IT (7)
has been coming off 20 and 30m handicaps in recent starts, so with the lift back to the 10m impost here, should be well suited. Making a starting error last time out, he closed out in good order two runs back and can make a play here.

DEXTROUS DEXTER (1) is a 3YO taking on the older campaigners but off the front tape and with his smart manners, should be in a prominent position to issue a challenge. Runner-up behind the smart RAZZLEME DAZZLEME last start, he looks up to the task.

MADEAKILLIN (10) makes his Qld debut for Graham Dwyer and will be first up since April. Impressing in an AP trial hit out where he was slick off the mark and extended, he stays under a watch here.

SUPPLANTER (5) was runner-up two starts back after finding the 1x1 trail and trying to make a closing raid behind FENOMENAL. Settling handy can see him in the mix.

SELECTIONS: MY RUMOUR HAS IT (7), DEXTROUS DEXTER (1), MADEAKILLIN (10), SUPPLANTER (5)
SUGGESTED BET: MY RUMOUR HAS IT (7) to win

RACE TWO

HURRIKANE JEWELS (8) made some handy metres in the closing stages last start for the bronze as MILLIE FRANCIS claimed a decisive Redcliffe victory. Stripping fitter from that run where she was first up this season, she is worth a ticket in what looks a Marburg maiden raffle.

DUNKEM (6) is a 2YO filly tackling the older campaigners here at her first run in Qld for Dave Rodger. Trying to see it out from the front last start at Newcastle, it was a smart effort when only fading in the last strides to be 4m from the winner in holding 3rd. She just needs to spot the gap.

ENZED FLYER (3) is a 3YO gelding on debut for Phill Keats that earned the race ticket with a tidy hit out in a trial that has since produced winning form. He stays under notice first up.

CHOCOLATE NORMAN (7) claimed the first placing of his career last start when chasing home behind UNDERTHEKILT. The second line stings but a return to maiden company is a plus.

SELECTIONS: HURRIKANE JEWELS (8), DUNKEM (6), ENZED FLYER (3), CHOCOLATE NORMAN (7)
SUGGESTED BET:

RACE THREE

MY CHINA DOLL (2)
struck trouble last start at Redcliffe which saw her banished for one trial which she has since completed in sound order. Rattling home two starts back when beaten a blister, she takes her first look at this deck and can look to dictate.

WILLIEWA LIGHTNING (9) made light work of the outside front line gate at Redcliffe last start when sent forward to take control and pull away for an effortless 17m winning margin. Two from four on this deck, he meets the opposition to issue the challenge.

SPORTY AZZ (1) was sent around them from the second line last start to sit parked and was game in holding on for the bronze. Locked away over the AP mile two back, he has podium claims.

JUST ONE GOOD ONE (4) eased from the centre of the line last time out at HQ and never got warm behind BLACKJACK BETH. He can roll forward to feature here.

SELECTIONS: MY CHINA DOLL (2), WILLIEWA LIGHTNING (9), SPORTY AZZ (1), JUST ONE GOOD ONE (4)
SUGGESTED BET: MY CHINA DOLL (2) to win

RACE FOUR

AWAYOVERNIGHT (1) takes his first spin around the Little M here off the back of a last start Redcliffe victory where he was able to spear across from gate 5 to take them all the way. Doing it tough two runs back, he secures all the favours here to burrow through and dictate.

LITTLEDEE (5) eased from the wide gate at Redcliffe last start and rattled home when the gaps presented to claim a smart win. A two-time winner on this deck, she can defy the gate to issue a challenge.

AUNTY FRANCES (6) was able to get a steady time in front last time out at Redcliffe and had enough in the tank to hold on. Locked away here, she will be probing for the openings to make a play.

NOT THE KINGSWOOD (8) was second up from a spell last time out and from the second line was searching for gaps when not too far from them. He can take further improvement here.

SELECTIONS: AWAYOVERNIGHT (1), LITTLEDEE (5), AUNTY FRANCES (6), NOT THE KINGSWOOD (8)
SUGGESTED BET: AWAYOVERNIGHT (1) to win

RACE FIVE

With a near faultless record here at Marburg, the set up looks firmly in the favour of SHEREACTS (2) to extend her record which presents an 80%-win rate on this deck. Kept fresh since her last appearance where she could have been closer if more went in her favour, she can strike here fresh.

JOHNROD (1) is a two-time winner on this deck from eight appearances and held on for the silver two runs back at Redcliffe after working hard int eh run from the second line. From this gate he can try to burrow through to issue the challenge.

TEACHERS PET (4) is another with some sharp figures on this track includes victory on eight occasions. Collared in the closing strides by GEIRANGER RAINBOWS two start back, she is in this.

ARTISTIC SAINT (8) was beaten by the second line last start when midfield behind WHERES OUR MONEY. With the right cart into the contest, he is a podium hope here.

SELECTIONS: SHEREACTS (2), JOHNROD (1), TEACHERS PET (4), ARTISTIC SAINT (8)
SUGGESTED BET: SHEREACTS (2) to win

RACE SIX

FILLY THIRTEEN (1)
was a winner over the AP mile four runs back after taking cover and then darting through on the passing lane when the gap presented. Just 5m from TALENT TO SPARE in a mare’s qualifier at her next attempt, she claims all the options here to capitalise.

COPY WRITER (7) was sent forward from the outside front line here two runs back and asked to sit parked was game in defeat in holding on for 2nd behind BELLA BRONSKI. She can follow through early to secure position and look to challenge late.

ONE LAST ROLL (2) has been runner-up at his past two starts, the latest when forcing the issue to take control at Redcliffe but unable to cling on. Just a half-neck away two back, he can feature.

MAJOR TRALEE (6) will be searching for the openings as he maps to be snookered away in the run. Midfield behind MAYWYN TROUBADOR last start, he was a passing lane winner three back.

SELECTIONS: FILLY THIRTEEN (1), COPY WRITER (7), ONE LAST ROLL (2), MAJOR TRALEE (6)
SUGGESTED BET:  FILLY THIRTEEN (1) to win

RACE SEVEN

GWYNETH P (1)
eased back from gate 5 last time out at Redcliffe to settle rearward before closing out in nice style wide off the track in some smart fractions. Not much went her way from gate 6 two runs back and with the improved gate, she gets every chance to capitalise.

ZACH LOWE (6) has been dealt back line draws at Redcliffe in his past two starts, the latest where VAN BASTEN was too slick. 3rd to SAVING MAJOR PERCY two runs back, he will be sweating on the 1 looking to go all the way and under that scenario will then be waiting for a gap to present.

GOTTA GO MILKING (9) faced the outside second line on The Triangle last start and was able to descend on them and pull clear to a 7m margin. Despite another tough gate he can feature.

GELDOF (2) claimed his best result for some time last start when settled in the trail and grabbing the silver behind KING OF TRUMPS. From this alley he can be close enough to feature once again.

SELECTIONS: GWYNETH P (1), ZACH LOWE (6), GOTTA GO MILKING (9), GELDOF (2)
SUGGESTED BET: GWYNETH P (1) to win

RACE EIGHT

The second edition of the Western Star has attracted a strong line up and the barrier draw adds to the intrigue. ALWAYS SMOKIN (6) gives away plenty of experience to his rivals here as the winner of just one race and faces a tricky gate. Scoring by 18m last start to open his account, he was a smart 2nd two back behind GOLDEN BAY. He might be yanking back early to stake his claim.

MADRIGAL (7) was huge in defeat last start in the Redcliffe Oaks consolation after striking early trouble before charging home from deep field for the silver. Down the line behind the smart AARDIES FLASH the start prior, she can follow through here to throw down the challenge.

INTO THE MYSTIC (5) remains undefeated in two career starts but faces her biggest test here in a strong contest from the wide gate. Defeating subsequent winner AMAMI last start, she can feature.

MAYWYN TROUBADOR (4) has been impressive with victories at his past two starts, the latest when forcing the issue from outside the front line and claiming a 10m margin. The nagging query is his record beyond the sprint.

SELECTIONS: ALWAYS SMOKIN (6), MADRIGAL (7), INTO THE MYSTIC (5), MAYWYN TROUBADOR (4)
SUGGESTED BET: ALWAYS SMOKIN (6) to win

RACE NINE

CALL ME KEITH (8)
is 1 from 1 on this deck and despite coming up with the second line alley, can look to keep the record intact. Taking the trail from gate 1 last start, he was just out of the money as AWAYWEGO dealt from the front. Not too far from YARRAMAN BELLA the start prior, this looks within reach.

MUCH BETTOR (7) takes his first look at this deck and comes into the battle with form better than his numbers suggest. Just 5m from the winner LAST TIME JOE at his latest appearance, he can find position and with good tempo try to launch a closing challenge up the small straight.

GLENLEDI COMMANDER (1) is a three-time winner on this deck and lands the options from the ace. Down the line behind SOVIET STUNNER last start when taking the trail, he can be thereabouts.

MONGOLIAN CONQUEROR (2) was resuming from a spell last time out when eased from gate 6 and settled rearward when he never got warm. With the improved gate, he can be sharper second up.

SELECTIONS: CALL ME KEITH (8), MUCH BETTOR (7), GLENLEDI COMMANDER (1), MONGOLIAN CONQUEROR (2)
SUGGESTED BET: CALL ME KEITH (8) to win
