RACE ONE

GOLDIES A DELIGHT (5) was asked to cover plenty of the track over the last lap here two starts back and responded with a game effort to be under 2m from the winner after starting from gate 6. Owning the closing speed from the 1x1 to score last start, she gets her chance again here.

MISSTREPO (8) was asked to hang tough outside the leader last start and was in for the fight when finishing 2m astern of the winner. Searching for gaps two runs back when grabbing the bronze behind the flying ZOOM PARTY, if the tempo suits in front, she can be rattling late.

FLO RYDA (4) has been hitting some nice areas in recent starts, the latest when making a late challenge to be just a half-head from the winner. Positioning cheaply can see him feature again.

THE MAHARANI (7) eased from gate 5 over the AP mile and from the fence did not find clear space. Collared late when trying to see it out in front here two back, she will be probing the openings.

SELECTIONS: GOLDIES A DELIGHT (5), MISSTREPO (8), FLO RYDA (4), THE MAHARANI (7)
SUGGESTED BET: GOLDIES A DELIGHT (5) to win

RACE FOUR

AJAY BREEZY ROSE (1) has placed in both runs back in Qld this campaign, the latest from gate 6 where she was sent forward to sit parked and fight for the bronze when 2m from GOLDIES A DELIGHT. Making late metres two back, she can secure the economical trip here.

LUXURY LAD (2) was trying to see it out on the front end here last time out and after a strong last 800, was able to hold all bar STOMPEM out for the prize. With the arm hustle to take control, he will be setting the tempo and be gripping on up the stretch once again.

REASON TO BE (8) was not suited last start when asked to sit parked over the 2040 trip and under the circumstances it was a sound effort. Back to the sprint with the right tempo, he is in the mix.

BLACKJACK BART (7) ended a frustrating winless record on this track last start when grafting out a tough win from the breeze. Tucked away this time around, he will be probing for the openings.

SELECTIONS: AJAY BREEZY ROSE (1), LUXURY LAD (2), REASON TO BE (8), BLACKJACK BART (7)
SUGGESTED BET: Exotics 1-2-7-8

RACE FIVE

ENGLISH DANCE (4)
will strip fitter from his latest outing where he was returning from a spell. Drawn inside the second line, he was shuffled back in the run before making good metres in the closing stages to finish 3m astern of the winner MACH TORQUE. Despite the gate, this is within reach.

LUCKY JIM (2) steps out beyond the sprint trip for the first time which brings with it the unknown factor. Forcing the issue from this same gate at the 1780 last start and pulling clear to claim victory with 11m to spare, he can again go in search of the lamp lighting duties.

FOVEAUX MAJOR (6) receives no favours from the outside paint, but his past six attempts have all been from the second line. Strong top the line last start when 4m away, he can chime in here.

TULHURST CUDDLES (8) has just the solitary win at this trip, that coming here three runs back when sent around from this same gate to sit parked. A similar trip can see her right in the fight.

SELECTIONS: ENGLISH DANCE (4), LUCKY JIM (2), FOVEAUX MAJOR (6), TULHURST CUDDLES (8)
SUGGESTED BET: ENGLISH DANCE (4) to win

RACE SIX

FRAYA (5)
was resuming from a spell last start when holding them wide from gate 1 after being sent to the post as fav. Getting keen out in front, she beat herself when just fading late. Tightened from that outing, she has the class to bounce back in a race where the 2040 will sort a few out.

THE CASUAL GOOSE (2) faces a significant class drop into this graded event after racing in strong Tuesday afternoon company in recent weeks. A smart 3rd four runs back, he has clashed with some smart performers and from this gate will get his chance to throw it down.

MISTER HART (9) is the most experienced campaigner in the lineup and last start was only grabbed in the last strides when a half head short of victory. A good tempo will aid his chances of joining in.

GABBYS IDEAL (3) has placed at her past three in succession, the latest when looking to see it out from gate 1 but collared in the closing stages. Settling handy can see her feature.

SELECTIONS: FRAYA (5), THE CASUAL GOOSE (2), MISTER HART (9), GABBYS IDEAL (3)
SUGGESTED BET:  FRAYA (5) to win

RACE SEVEN

LONG TIME COMING (3)
has been building towards his first victory and looks to have found the ideal conditions to break free of the maiden ranks. Rattling home two starts back when beaten a blister behind THIS YANKEE ROCKS, he was a tidy 3rd last time behind NAUTIE GALVINATOR.

TAKE COURAGE (5) started from inside the second line last time out and was soon shuffled back int eh run and unable to get warm in the closing stages. Making nice metres in the closing stages two starts back when 7m form the winner VINCENT TIME, she finds the right line up to take a shot.

LAST CALL (7) was first up in Qld last start when settled in the running line from a second line gate and making good ground in the closing stages for the bronze behind KEITH WILL DO. She will be probing.

HAPPY SNAP (1) resumes from a spell after finishing a long way down the line last time out back in November. With a pair of trials to prepare, she has place claims from the gate.

SELECTIONS: LONG TIME COMING (3), TAKE COURAGE (5), LAST CALL (7), HAPPY SNAP (1)
SUGGESTED BET: LONG TIME COMING (3) to win

RACE EIGHT

VALLANI MAGIC (6)
is given no favours from the wide gate but should appreciate this grade. A winner in this level four runs back when sent forward to lead form gate 5, she nearly held on here two back from the front. IN this line up she can capitalise.

FOR NO REASON (9) was sent to the post as fav last time out and never got clear when going to the line untested. Runner-up at her previous start when doing her share of work wide on the track, she can look for a cart into the contest to issue a challenge.

CIRCLE LINE (5) is never too far from the action and can do it the hard way of required. Grinding it out first over last start when not too far away, he can fill the minors again here.

TAPTHEKEG (4) was put into the contest from the second line last start when sent to sit parked. Fading late after the tough trip, limiting the early burn can see him feature.

SELECTIONS: VALLANI MAGIC (6), FOR NO REASON (9), CIRCLE LINE (5), TAPTHEKEG (4)
SUGGESTED BET: VALLANI MAGIC (6) to win

RACE NINE

TUFFY (1)
has found the account opening victory incredibly elusive and will take his shot here at start 45 to chalk up a victory. Recent barrier draws have certainly not helped with his past seven starts all from the second line. He has the arm hustle to take his shot.

SHOOBEE RIGHT (6) was snagged off the arm to settle at the rear on the fence here last week before trying to make a closing raid and finishing 5m in arrears of the winner NAUTIE GALVINATOR to hold 2nd. Placed his past four in succession, he will issue the challenge once again.

FRANKIE GIRL (8) is a 2YO filly on debut against the older horses for trainer Shawn Grimsey. The first foal to race out of the former handy race mare Candyliscious, she stays under notice.

DIGBY DEMON (9) made some nice metres in the closing stages last start when 6m from the winner BLACKJACK CRIPPA. A similar effort puts him in the mix here.

SELECTIONS: TUFFY (1), SHOOBEE RIGHT (6), FRANKIE GIRL (8), DIGBY DEMON (9)
SUGGESTED BET: TUFFY (1) to win
