RACE ONE

Another tough gate faces BETTERTHANAROCKET (10) here but despite finishing out of the money at his past six in succession, he has done enough to give him another chance here. Snagged back from gate 7 last start, he still peeled off the best last 800| 400 splits out of the race. Tempo will be key.

AMAMI (9) worked his way out of a slump and has been top-two at his past five in succession which also includes a hat-trick of victories. Making a late raid when 1m from DARK TERROR last time, he was too tough first over in a new PB the start prior. He can trail through to throw it down.

BACK TO BETOOTA (3) started from the second line in a 70Final last start and from deep field was strong to the line in the closing stages when 3m from DARK TERROR. He is in the mix again.

PRESS STATEMENT (1) has been campaigning strongly at Redcliffe in recent starts which includes a pair of wins in his past three. With the ideal trip behind the speed, he can bring the form to town.

SELECTIONS: BETTERTHANAROCKET (10), AMAMI (9), BACK TO BETOOTA (3), PRESS STATEMENT (1)
SUGGESTED BET: BETTERTHANAROCKET (10) to win

RACE THREE

Beaten by the outside second line alley last time where he was sent forward to sit parked, WHERES OUR MONEY (4) faded in the closing stages after working hard in the run. Gate 7 was his undoing the start prior and with the improved gate, if he can limit the burn, can look to see it out.

THE VICAR OF DIBLEY (8) made light work of gate 10 last start when sent around them early and then pulling away posted an impressive 18m victory. Striking trouble in the Oaks Consolation the start prior, she just needs to get away from the poles to issue the challenge.

MIDNIGHT SOMEWHERE (1) continues to be sectionally strong without converting his performances into victory. Rattling home last start from the rear, an improved gate can see him in the money.

MISS BAY KING COLE (3) started from the second line last start and was making nice closing metres when 4m astern of the winner HARRY KANE. Pressing forward early keeps her in the mix.

SELECTIONS: WHERES OUR MONEY (4), THE VICAR OF DIBLEY (8), MIDNIGHT SOMEWHERE (1), MISS BAY KING COLE (3)
SUGGESTED BET: Exotics 1-3-4-8

RACE FOUR

Building towards a victory with four successive placings, BORSELLINO (6) was able to frank his form when charging home once spotting space here last start to claim a smart 7m margin in claiming a career PB. The wide gate hurts, but he can position cheaply and rattle home once again.

AURORA JOY (1) has faced the starter on four occasions in her Winter sojourn, the past three from barrier 4 where she retreated off the arm on each occasion. 5m from the subsequent winner AMAMI here four runs back from this gate, a return to the inside can see her challenge.

CAPTIVANTE (5) found the conditions to open her account two starts back when darting through to hold the front and see it out. Backing that up with another win last time, she can feature again.

FRAYA (7) eased from gate 5 at Redcliffe last start and had the closing power to descend on them and pull clear to an 11m victory. Too keen the start prior when resuming, the gate stings.

SELECTIONS: BORSELLINO (6), AURORA JOY (1), CAPTIVANTE (5), FRAYA (7)
SUGGESTED BET: BORSELLINO (6) to win

RACE FIVE

This looks a messy map to line up and with some different possible scenarios, it might be a case of playing the class. The 3YO filly BRONSKI DELIGHT (10) is that and loomed up last start when runner-up to SHEZ THE REASON in the Oaks Consolation. 2nd at her past three in succession, she can go one better.

YANKEE C J (8) will be ensured of an economical trip from this alley, his biggest concern will be finding open space with track to play with. Not suited when exposed early last start, he chased for the bronze behind REDS STAR DEAL two back and will be probing for openings to chime in.

PEPPA BLISS (7) was whacked with the ODM embargo following a last start error and despite the gate can still be a factor in this line up. Limiting the burn will be key to her chances.

CUSTOM NIKE (3) tackled a mare’s qualifier last start where she set the tempo before wilting in the stretch to finish rearward. Struggling to put it together this prep, can she turn it around?

SELECTIONS: BRONSKI DELIGHT (10), YANKEE C J (8), PEPPA BLISS (7), CUSTOM NIKE (3)
SUGGESTED BET: BRONSKI DELIGHT (10) to win

RACE SIX

He might be crossed early here with some speed on the sling shot out wide, but MAGICOL IDEAL (1) can still sit in the trail and claim this. Still chasing his first win of 2023, he set the tempo here last start from this gate when 3rd behind BORSELLINO. In a tricky race to dissect, he can arrive.

SARASUN (8) will be relying on factors in her favour as either way the map presents will be needing the lane with momentum or needing the gap in time if shuffled further back. Collared in the closing stages last start when runner-up to ARCHILLES, if the luck arrives, she can capitalise.

TUNGSTEN TERROR (7) can fly the arm and last start from outside the front at Redcliffe, darted across to lead but could not see it out. He has the speed to lead if they want to look to dictate.

BLUE BLOODZ (10) used the passing lane last start when grabbing the silver behind BORSELLINO. A solid tempo will aid his chances of finishing over the top of them here.

SELECTIONS: MAGICOL IDEAL (1), SARASUN (8), TUNGSTEN TERROR (7), BLUE BLOODZ (10)
SUGGESTED BET:

RACE SEVEN

An eight-start maiden that arrives from the South Island of NZ, MAJOR ICON (5) has form behind some handy performers back in his homeland. Put away in October last year, he returned for one run in April behind the smart FRANCO SINATRA. Prepped with an effortless trial, he can strike fresh.

BROOKFIELDS BEAUTY (10) was on debut here last week when eased from gate 5 to settle near the rear before making a closing raid wide off the track. Grabbing the bronze behind HAPPY GO LINCY when 9m away, she closed it out in nice order and with added experience can issue a challenge.

OLLIE OLLIE (2) returns from a spell after breaking maiden ranks at his last start when sent forward from gate 6 to take them all the way. He has the gate to be in the thick of it fresh up.

NIKI BEACH (8) will take further benefit from his latest outing where he was strong to the line in the closing stages behind CAPTIVANTE. With two runs back from 18 months off, he can be probing.

SELECTIONS: MAJOR ICON (5), BROOKFIELDS BEAUTY (10), OLLIE OLLIE (2), NIKI BEACH (8)
SUGGESTED BET: MAJOR ICON (5) to win

RACE EIGHT

These 30-40 rated contests can prove difficult to analyse and this line up certainly fits that mould. Runner-up in three of his past 5 and the past two in succession, BRAEVIEW FELLA (7) is afforded no favours from the outside paint. In his favour is versatility and he might just be the one.

DATSINAHURRI (3) normally plies her trade on The Triangle but will cross the Ted Smout bridge to race at HQ for just the second time this year and third since the beginning of 2022. Trying to lead throughout last start, she faded to be 2m from the winner. With early speed, she can throw it down.

FLY CHEVAL (2) closed smartly for the silver four runs back but has missed the board in all three since. Settling handy from this alley, she can be thereabouts.

JANG PEL (8) will likely be snookered on the inside and needing some luck and space to break free. Placed at his past two starts, if the gap can arrive, he can pinch a placing.

SELECTIONS: BRAEVIEW FELLA (7), DATSINAHURRI (3), FLY CHEVAL (2), JANG PEL (8)
SUGGESTED BET:

RACE NINE

A more completed package than any of his rivals in this contest, DEXTROUS DEXTER (3) will chase down a hat-trick of victories here. Charging late to claim a smart win off a 20m handicap last start, he took them all the way two runs back. With good numbers from the mobile, the threepeat is on.

MIX IT UP (1) was sent to the post as fav last time out from behind the tapes where he made a mess of the start and was never a factor. Beaten in red figures from behind the start car two back when making an error in the run, his chances will rely solely on whether his manners are up to scratch.

MISS MEMPHIS (5) stepped straight to the front here two runs back over the middle trip and from the front was never headed. Fading after a tough trip last start, she can feature here.

SELECTIONS: DEXTROUS DEXTER (3), MIX IT UP (1), MISS MEMPHIS (5)
SUGGESTED BET: DEXTROUS DEXTER (3) to win
