RACE ONE

Making his Qld debut her last week, MAJOR ICON (7) looked to have run his race before the home turn after sitting parked. Rallying strongly, he lifted off the canvas to claim the win. He somehow cops the ODM embargo out of last week, but despite the 7 alley, he can build off that effort here.

TUNGSTEN TERROR (4) can fly the arm when let go and from the centre of the line can look to find the poles. Snagged back here last week from gate 7 and securing a return to the main draw, that effort followed a 4th when leading them up at Redcliffe. A steady time in front can see him challenge.

ROCKY LEIGH (8) grabbed the bronze last start when eased from gate 5 before making late metres to finish 5m astern of the winner BRONSKI DELIGHT. He will be probing for the openings here.

BLUE BLOODZ (3) faced the outside second line last start and was wide over the closing stages when making his run. A passing lane 2nd here two starts back, he can settle closer to feature here.

SELECTIONS: MAJOR ICON (7), TUNGSTEN TERROR (4), ROCKY LEIGH (8), BLUE BLOODZ (3)
SUGGESTED BET: MAJOR ICON (7) to win

RACE THREE

In a race where the power and main player look drawn wide and off the second line, BRONSKI DELIGHT (10) can look to replicate her win from last start where she faced this same gate. Saved for one run, she descended on them and pulled away to a 4m margin. The tempo sets up the repeat.

NIKI BEACH (9) found the space to get off the poles from inside the second line in the early stages and whipped around to take control and was fighting to the line, only to be worried out of it by MAJOR ICON. He is moving closer to a victory and with the right trip can issue a challenge.

WHERES OUR MONEY (6) forced the issue here last start to take control and with the power on throughout, he was out of coins at the top of the stretch. Fighting for 3rd, he can feature again.

BORSELLINO (2) eased from gate 5 last start to settle rearward and was able to get warm over the closing stages as PUSHINIT UPHILL dealt in front. Rattling home to win here two back, he is in the mix.

SELECTIONS: BRONSKI DELIGHT (10), NIKI BEACH (9), WHERES OUR MONEY (6), BORSELLINO (2)
SUGGESTED BET: BRONSKI DELIGHT (10) to win

RACE FOUR

The first of the 3YO Fillies Triad heats where the first four across the line will qualify for the G1 Final. MULLUM RUBY (10) looks to have the edge to overcome this gate. A slick winner four back, she has contested each of the tree Oaks at her past three and the drop in class here looks ideal.

FRAYA (6) returned from a spell three runs back at Redcliffe where she beat herself in front. Bouncing back with an effortless win second up, her latest effort saw her working hard first over after rolling forward from gate 7. Back to her own age and sex is a big benefit.

SAN MAREA (7) rejoins the Ben Battle barn after competing for Ricki Alchin through the Carnival. Returning a nice effort in the Qld Oaks last start, she can work if required and can feature here.

JESEEKA (9) gives away plenty of experience at just her second race start, but her debut effort was a tidy effort when runner-up to SWEET GEORGIA BROWN. With a soft trip, she can chase a minor.

SELECTIONS: MULLUM RUBY (10), FRAYA (6), SAN MAREA (7), JESEEKA (9)
SUGGESTED BET: MULLUM RUBY (10) to win

RACE FIVE

A tricky race to line up where the early pressure off the front looks muddling. TORQUE TOTHE MUSIC (9) snagged back from gate 5 last start and was sound to the line behind LITTLELIONELJAMES which followed a luckless run when buried from inside the second line. He can arrive.

NOT THE KINGSWOOD (8) has hit the board at his past five in succession, the latest when chasing home for the bronze behind FAIREACHDIANN. Making a closing raid here two starts back when 1m from HARRY KANE, he will need some factors to fall his way, but he can be issuing a challenge.

MIGHTY GEORGE (3) will take benefit from his last start where he was returning from a spell over the Redcliffe 1780. Settling handy from this gate, he can be firing some closing bullets.

SAILALONG SINBAD (1) is a 19-start maiden here at The Creek but finds the right map and conditions here to chase some of the money. 3rd from gate 5 at Redcliffe two back, he can chime in.

SELECTIONS: TORQUE TOTHE MUSIC (9), NOT THE KINGSWOOD (8), MIGHTY GEORGE (3), SAILALONG SINBAD (1)
SUGGESTED BET: TORQUE TOTHE MUSIC (9) to win

RACE SIX

The second Fillies Triad heat where despite the wide gate, EMPRESS BYELINE (6) can look to take advantage of a front-line gate to press forward and stake a claim. Just out of the money last start behind SWEET GEORGIA BROWN, she was solid when 4th in the Oaks Consolation. This is within reach.

MISS BAY KING COLE (11) has not had much go in her favour in recent starts here at The Creek, forced to sit parked last time out at the mile. She was game in finishing 5m from the winner which followed a late run from the second line. A mid-race move might be the option to get into this battle.

AURORA JOY (12) secured the pocket trail at the mile last week went finishing 6m from PUSHINIT UPHILL. Placed in her only attempt beyond the sprint, with the right cart into the contest she can feature.

MIKI MAGIC (9) has been in nice touch in recent starts, the latest when picking off good closing metres from deep field at Redcliffe. With the right trip, she can be looking to grab a qualifying spot.

SELECTIONS: EMPRESS BYELINE (6), MISS BAY KING COLE (11), AURORA JOY (12), MIKI MAGIC (9)
SUGGESTED BET:

RACE SEVEN

Having already qualified for the big G1 Triad final next week, TORQUE LIKE MOTION (5) tackles all comers in this contest, coming off a career defining passing lane win in the Queensland Oaks. 3rd to the Derby winner The Lost Storm two back, despite a tricky gate, her class can get her home.

LUKE JOHN (9) found the 1x1 trail from this gate over the sprint trip last time out, trying to issue a closing raid where he was best of the chasers behind HOLD ONTO YA BLING. Descending on them over this trip three starts back in a strong close out, he maps for the trip to issue a challenge

BACK TO BETOOTA (8) will need some factors in his favour as he looks in danger of being buried. Just out of the money last start in a 70heat, he was a good 3rd when 3m from DARK TERROR two runs back. She will be probing.

MISTER FONZI (2) has good arm hustle and can look to be 1st to the poles here, which will then avail options. Taking them all the way at the mile four starts back he can be thereabouts.

SELECTIONS: TORQUE LIKE MOTION (5), LUKE JOHN (9), BACK TO BETOOTA (8), MISTER FONZI (2)
SUGGESTED BET: TORQUE LIKE MOTION (5) to win

RACE EIGHT

HOLD ONTO YA BLING (3) pressed forward from gate 4 last week before taking the trail and sprinting sharply once finding open space to claim 3m margin. It was a tidy effort following his run in The Hayden. Just 5 m from FREE THINKER three starts back in the Rising Sun consolation, he has the early speed to capitalise.

THE TAX CULLECTOR (7) is afforded no favours from outside the front line but looks one of the class runners of this field. Locked away last start from inside the second line, he did not get the smooth trip when finishing 3m from SKY BLU. Fitter after three runs back this prep, he is up to the challenge.

OLLIE OLLIE (1) has the benefit of the good alley here as he steps out second up from the spell. Resuming with a narrow second placing, he tackles for the middle trip for the first time.

REDS STAR DEAL (9) was a Redcliffe winner over the 2040 trip two starts back when sent to the front and never in danger thereafter. Strong to the line last start behind SKY BLU, he can chime in here.

SELECTIONS: HOLD ONTO YA BLING (3), THE TAX CULLECTOR (7), OLLIE OLLIE (1), REDS STAR DEAL (9)
SUGGESTED BET: HOLD ONTO YA BLING (3) to win

RACE NINE

OUR ACTION MAN (4) was beaten by gate 6 last start after easing in the early stages to find position over the middle trip. With the race controlled by a 54.4 last 800 from the front, he was always facing a mammoth task. A similar fate transpired, the start prior behind MR MCLAREN and in an open race he might just be the one.

SURF ACE (7) made the most of gate 2 here on Saturday night in a second division B5 event. Taking control from the front, he kept a solid tempo, and after a 26.9 third split, he busted clear to claim a 7m margin. The gate makes a repeat effort a tough ask, but a smaller field should suit.

FALCONS (1) is winless this season from 23 attempts but finds conditions here where a soft trip behind the speed should be ideal. 8m from SURF ACE last start he will be probing for the gaps.

PARAVANI (2) set the tempo last start at the mile and after a steady opening half set it up for a last 800 blitz. Worried out of it, he finished a half-head astern of the winner DESPONDENT.

SELECTIONS: OUR ACTION MAN (4), SURF ACE (7), FALCONS (1), PARAVANI (2)
SUGGESTED BET: OUR ACTION MAN (4) to win

RACE TEN

The second of the QBRED 3YO C&G’s heats where none of the 10 runners can show winning form at the middle trip. APOLLO DREAMZ (6) looks to have the advantage despite the wide gate and did finished 3rd in The Hayden over this journey. A strong winner from the front at his next start. He looks the one they have to stop.

FRANKIE FEROCIOUS (3) has been kept fresh since his last start victory from gate 5 when descending on them over the closing stages at the mile. Beaten a head at his previous start back in March, he takes his first look beyond a mile, but looks to have the ability to throw down the challenge.

CAPTAIN FOXTROT (8) should secure an economical trip against the markers and will be searching for gaps in the stretch. A Redcliffe winner two starts back from the trail, he will be probing to qualify.

DOLLAR BUCKS (1) is zero from two at this trip but faced gate 5 and gate 12 in those two outings. From the tight gate he has the options to feature.

SELECTIONS: APOLLO DREAMZ (6), FRANKIE FEROCIOUS (3), CAPTAIN FOXTROT (8), DOLLAR BUCKS (1)
SUGGESTED BET: APOLLO DREAMZ (6) to win

RACE ELEVEN

This field of 5 at the mobile where four of the runners combine for a total of six starts from behind the start car. GLENEAGLE REIGN (3) backs up from a last start second behind ROCKINWITHATTITUDE in the Trotters Derby. Eased to settle four back in the run, it was a tidy close out behind the smart winner. Placed in all three starts prior to the Derby, he can settle handy and looks the biggest threat.

WHIRLWIND WILBUR (4) was having his third Qld start here last week under the same conditions they contest here. Sent forward to sit parked, he was looming up strongly in the stretch and was up for the fight when beaten a half-neck. With just on three times as many mobile attempts as the field combined, he can throw it down.

MISS MEMPHIS (5) got it all wrong last start when making an error and was never a factor thereafter A two-time place getter in four attempts from the mobile, her manners will be key.

SELECTIONS: GLENEAGLE REIGN (3), WHIRLWIND WILBUR (4), MISS MEMPHIS (5)
SUGGESTED BET: GLENEAGLE REIGN (3) to win
