RACE ONE

A small field of 2YO’s to open the card where the talented filly SOAP OPERA (4) can look to make it a hat-trick of victories. After a steady opening half from the front here last start, she was able to hold on in a slick 55.4 last half in a two-horse duel up the stretch. The threepeat is within reach.

BEACHRIDE (6) emerged from the pack to issue the challenge to SOAP OPERA last start and threw down the gauntlet, with the pair pulling clear of the remaining pack. Just short of victory in being a half-head in arrears, there was a further 30m back to 3rd. The wider gate makes it a tough ask.

TAKE A CHANCE (5) struck trouble in the Triad heats and his chances evaporated. Down the line two starts back but with some bad luck also attributable to the return. In the small field he can feature.

SELECTIONS: SOAP OPERA (4), BEACHRIDE (6), TAKE A CHANCE (5)
SUGGESTED BET: SOAP OPERA (4) to win

RACE THREE

Placed in both the Trotters Oaks and Derby at her past two starts, EN MASSE (2) looks well placed to overcome the 10m impost here. Making an early error in the Derby last start before regathering to grab the bronze, she can begin safely from the tapes and look to capitalise.

GET USED TO IT (7) was making his debut last start where he was asked to sit parked and despite the tough trip, put the leader away before the turn and then pulled clear to an impressive 11m margin. Taking the experience from that battle, he can look to repeat the performance.

FENOMENAL (10) started from the 20m last start where he was put into the contest in the early stages and then pulled clear down the stretch to a big 19m margin. Off that effort he can feature.

THE REAPER (3) was exposed early last time out before finding cover and finishing with the bronze, albeit some distance from the big winner FENOMENAL. Getting forward early aids his chances.

SELECTIONS: EN MASSE (2), GET USED TO IT (7), NATTY PAGGER (8), THE REAPER (3)
SUGGESTED BET: EN MASSE (2) to win

RACE FOUR

Sent for a freshen after his last start where he was banished to the trials, HESTON ZOOLANDER (3) looked sharp in removing the stand down embargo with a strong last 1000m in his trial hit out. Some bad gates had hurt his chances in recent starts and fresh up here can look to capitalise.

COPPERFIELD (2) started from gate 1 last start and was soon shuffled back in the run before making some nice metres in the closing stages to be 5m from CAPTAIN SHUFFLES. With good early speed, he can have an early look and be handy enough to issue a challenge.

ALTA SENSATION (4) took the trail from gate 1 here two starts back and when they turned for home, right lined and was able to rattle home to score. Game in defeat last start, he is right in this.

KASH US BACK (6) started from inside the second line last start and with good speed up the lane was able to arrive for a half-head margin. The wider gate hurts, but that is offset somewhat by a small field.

SELECTIONS: HESTON ZOOLANDER (3), COPPERFIELD (2), ALTA SENSATION (4), KASH US BACK (6)
SUGGESTED BET: HESTON ZOOLANDER (3) to win

RACE FIVE

Starting from this same gate over the middle trip two starts back, KALYPSO SAM (1) was soon buried away against the poles and never a factor despite finishing with the bronze behind SWEET GEORGIA BROWN. Game in defeat after a tough trip first over last start, he will be burrowing through.

IMA BIRUBI BOY (8) was a winner from deep field here three starts back when rattling late to arrive for the prize. Finding the 2138 too tough at his next start, he was darting up the passing lane last start when just a head from the winner. With the right trip, he will be ready to snipe in the stretch.

LULU MAE (10) looked to have found her race here last week and finding the front was trying to see it out but was nabbed right on the line when beaten a half-head. The gate makes it tough.

ROLLED IN GOLD (5) was descending in the closing stages here last week and was under 2m from the winner QUIK CHANGE in a blanket finish. Asked to sit parked two back, she can be thereabouts.

SELECTIONS: KALYPSO SAM (1), IMA BIRUBI BOY (8), LULU MAE (10), ROLLED IN GOLD (5)
SUGGESTED BET: KALYPSO SAM (1) to win

RACE SIX

Plenty of chances in this maiden 2YO where SHEER ARTISTRY (8) will be relying on some factors to go her way to find the space. Chasing home behind SOAP OPERA last start, she was midfield behind ROCKON ROCKY the start prior. If the gap arrives with track to work with, she can take the opportunity.

CALL TO ORDER (6) has placed at his past two starts, the latest when just missing out on the Triad Final when finishing 3rd in his heat behind ATTACHMENT. Chasing home from the fence when 3rd to SHES FULLOFSPIRIT the start prior, the gate stings but he can be issuing a challenge.

CRUZ JOSHUA (10) could not go with them last start in a heat for the Triad and finished down the line as ATTACHMENT took the prize. Runner-up two starts back, the gate makes it an ask.

PEEJAY MACK (1) is a Sunshine Beach filly on debut for John McMullen. With a sound trial to qualify behind some quality performers, she has the gate to feature first up.

SELECTIONS: SHEER ARTISTRY (8), CALL TO ORDER (6), CRUZ JOSHUA (10), PEEJAY MACK (1)
SUGGESTED BET:

RACE SEVEN

Luckless at his first Qld appearance here last time out, CRIME TIME (9) did not have the arm speed to hold a forward spot and was soon shuffled four back from his inside gate. Finding space late to rattle home for the silver, he can be in the running line to descend on them here.

REGAL NIGHTSHADE (3) has faced the second line at his past two starts where he has been making nice metres in the closing stages on each occasion. A return to the front line where he can flex some early speed can see him in the right position to issue a challenge against this opposition.

LANCELOT BROMAC (8) was snookered four back along the poles last start when finishing 9m from the winner QUIK CHANGE. With the right tempo, he can keep chasing to the wire.

BRAEVIEW FELLA (7) chalked up another minor last start when holding 3rd at Redcliffe from the trail behind DIEGO DELGADO. Runner-up his previous three in succession, he can chime in again.

SELECTIONS: CRIME TIME (9), REGAL NIGHTSHADE (3), LANCELOT BROMAC (8), BRAEVIEW FELLA (7)
SUGGESTED BET: CRIME TIME (9) to win

RACE EIGHT

Not a great deal has been in the favour for quite a few of the Bern Hewitt runners in their Winter campaign and MYMATEPOG (5) is no different. Needing a gap sooner when buried last start and 5m from ITS MR CLOONEY, dropping into veteran’s company for the first time looks the catalyst to change some luck.

IM FEELING FIREY (4) had the speed out of the machine here on Sat night to find the front before releasing and finishing 5m from the winner HOLY CAMP DILLON. Snagged off the arm two starts back, he can fire out here to look for the poles and with options thereafter issue a challenge.

OBI ONE (8) was exposed early before cover arrived last start where he was able to grab the bronze behind APHORISM. Likely to be buried in the run, he will be probing for the openings.

REGULUS (3) snagged back from the start last time out and then did not get warm as KASH US BACK secured the inside trip to score. Closer to the action from the improved gate is a bonus.

SELECTIONS: MYMATEPOG (5), IM FEELING FIREY (4), OBI ONE (8), REGULUS (3)
SUGGESTED BET: MYMATEPOG (5) to win

RACE NINE

With two handy efforts since joining the Narissa McMullen stable, MERRY DANCER (1) looks to have found the conditions for a breakthrough. Sent to the front last start, she was only collared late by the progressive HAPPY GO LINCY. 2m from SKY BLU at her first run, she looks to get every chance.

LUVBITE (6) should appreciate a drop back into this grade after his last start 3rd when 4m from KASH US BACK in an up to NR75 event. Wide off the track in the latter stages two starts back when 4m from SKY BLU, the wide gate stings, but he is going well enough to issue a challenge in this line up.

SISTA BLISS (8) returns from a spell off the back of a tidy trial performance to open the pipes. Only lightly raced, the soft trip behind the speed is the ideal set up fresh.

AURORA JOY (2) started fav from gate 1 two starts back at the mile when taking the trail and finishing runner-up to PUSHINIT UPHILL. Midfield in a Triad Fillies heat last start, she has claims here.

SELECTIONS: MERRY DANCER (1), LUVBITE (6), SISTA BLISS (8), AURORA JOY (2)
SUGGESTED BET: MERRY DANCER (1) to win

RACE TEN

With good speed off the arm, LAURIE DEE (3) can fire out early here to look for the poles and will then be open to trailing options if pressured. Holding 3rd to LUXURY LAD here on Sat night in a second division qualifier when 2m astern of the winner, he finds the conditions here to capitalise.

PRESS STATEMENT (2) has been performing strong at Redcliffe in recent starts, claiming victory on The Triangle in three of his past five starts. Powering over the top of them last start to score, he can settle handy to the action from this gate and be in a position to challenge.

CATSEYE BEACH (7) was resuming from a spell last start and got it all wrong from inside the second line, ending his chances and securing the ODM embargo. Off a slick trial, he cannot be underestimated.

LORD OF MISRULE (4) will take further benefit from his latest Redcliffe appearance when third up from a spell. Making late metres for the bronze at that latest run, a return to the big deck is a plus.

SELECTIONS: LAURIE DEE (3), PRESS STATEMENT (2), CATSEYE BEACH (7), LORD OF MISRULE (4)
SUGGESTED BET:
