RACE ONE

Missing the money just once in 9 appearances here at HQ, BEACH VILLA (8) will need a slice of luck form this alley in a race that looks stoked with early bustle. Sent around to sit parked last start, it was a brave effort in a 51.9 mile as TALENT TO SPARE arrived. If he hits the lane with momentum, he can cash in.

RED RIGHT HAND (9) is staring down a hat-trick of victories after darting across from gate 2 last start to set the tempo and take them all the way over the middle trip with a stylish victory. Rattling late to arrive two starts back, he comes into this fresh and will throw down the challenge.

SURF ACE (5) fired out to find the front here two starts back and once in control, fought them off to claim a slick victory. Banished to the trials last start, he earns the return after a sizzling hit out behind HOT AND TREACHEROUS. He is in the mix.

THE GROGFATHER (4) claimed his qualifier last start when pressing on to take control and lead throughout to a 2m margin. Placed his previous three in succession, he will in the fight once again.

SELECTIONS: BEACH VILLA (8), RED RIGHT HAND (9), SURF ACE (5), THE GROGFATHER (4)
SUGGESTED BET: BEACH VILLA (8) win/place

RACE THREE

Tackling a 70Final last start from the second line, BETTERTHANAROCKET (1) was trying to make ground late but with the speed controlled from the front, he had to settle for a midfield return. Splitting the victory in the heat of that series, he finally breaks a string of tough gates to get his chance.

AUNTY BELLA (4) backs up from Tuesday where he claimed her first win of the season, dictating over the 2138 trip. Sent forward, she took control and was able to prove too strong and run slick time for the middle trip. Grabbed in the last stride here two back at this trip, she can throw it down again.

OUR MAJOR DAY (8) had an early look last start before retreating and although last, the run was sound behind FUTURE ASSURED. With the soft trip and second line options, he can be chiming in.

OUR ACTION MAN (2) eased from gate 6 here two starts back and was strong to the line to be under 3m from the winner in a blanket finish. Buried here on Tuesday, he is in the mix from this alley.

SELECTIONS: BETTERTHANAROCKET (1), AUNTY BELLA (4), OUR MAJOR DAY (8), OUR ACTION MAN (2)
SUGGESTED BET: BETTERTHANAROCKET (1) to win

RACE FOUR

With a hoof on the ‘til since resuming from a spell, MIGHT AS WELL (8) might just have found the right set up to cash in. Buried from this gate last week and only spotting the gap when it was all over to charge through, she comes up with the options as the lone runner out the back to chart her own course.

COCORA (2) was a qualifying winner here two starts back when sent straight to the front and keeping a solid tempo claimed a career PB. Luckless here last week after being forced to snag back to find position, she can take luck out of it here to get on the engine and stake her claim.

GWYNETH P (3) should be able to slide across with the lack of a second line to find a position handy in the run here. Sectionally her efforts have been full of merit, and she can be close enough to chime in.

AWHOLELOTOFPRETTY (4) has been faced with second line draws at her past three in succession, which also includes a Redcliffe victory where she descended on them to score. She is in the mix here.

SELECTIONS: MIGHT AS WELL (8), COCORA (2), GWYNETH P (3), AWHOLELOTOFPRETTY (4)
SUGGESTED BET: MIGHT AS WELL (8) to win

RACE FIVE

Drawn off the second line at her past three in succession, ARCO (4) should appreciate a return to the front line here. Making late ground wide out behind MACARENA MADI last week, she was strong to the line behind OUR MODERN MINNIE two starts back where she was fresh up from a spell. This looks within reach.

GLENLEA HANOVER (2) is first up in Qld for Mark Rees and arrives with Riverina form and chasing a hat-trick of victories. Taking them all the way at Wagga last start with a slippery last panel when unbothered in claiming a 9m margin, she has the arm hustle to throw it down first up.

ALEXIA ROSE (7) cannot snare a marble and after landing the second line at her past four, moves to the front but it will still be from the carpark. Limiting the early burn can see her feature.

MADAMOISELLE JUJON (1) will take further benefit from her latest appearance where she was second up after 18 months off the scene. Picking off late metres behind MACARENA MADI, the improved gate is a huge plus.

SELECTIONS: ARCO (4), GLENLEA HANOVER (2), ALEXIA ROSE (7), MADAMOISELLE JUJON (1)
SUGGESTED BET: ARCO (4) to win

RACE SIX

FRANKIE FEROCIOUS (6)
was fresh here last week in a strong 3YO contest when slotting in behind the leader for the cosy trip. While it may not have cost victory, he certainly had his momentum checked as he finished 2m astern of the winner FREE THINKER. Despite the gate, he looks up to this.

BETTING ORIGIN (3) was sent forward from gate 7 last start and asked to sit parked at the mile and after the tough trip, faded in the closing stages. Midfield the start prior in the Triad Final behind SPEAK THE TRUTH, he slots into this race nicely under the conditions and can look to throw it down.

CHAMONIX (7) tackled a qualifier here last week where he was buried from inside the second line. Finding a late split, he rattled late to slice through and grab the verdict. The gate makes the repeat a tough ask.

MY ULTIMATE LEVI (4) was asked to sit parked last start and was trying to grip on when midfield behind BURNS BAY. Runner-up at Redcliffe two starts back, he can be thereabouts again here.

SELECTIONS: FRANKIE FEROCIOUS (6), BETTING ORIGIN (3), CHAMONIX (7), MY ULTIMATE LEVI (4)
SUGGESTED BET:  FRANKIE FEROCIOUS (6) to win

RACE SEVEN

Eased in the early stages from gate 6 to secure position here last week, FUTURE ASSURED (4) powered up down the back stretch to blitz them and work to the front and pull clear to a strong 9m margin, highlighted with his own last 800 in sub 54. Runner-up to SPEAK THE TRUTH in the Triad two starts back, he can take another step here.

MIRACLE MOOSE (6) was out in front and setting an electric tempo here last week, the leading duties coming at the expense of a 26.5 opening panel and after a 27.3 third split, he was feeling the pinch swinging for home. A gritty winner from the tapes two back, he can throw it down again here.

SEND IT (2) started from inside the second line here last week and with nowhere to go and losing momentum on the inside, finished off nicely once spotting a gap. He has the early hustle to feature.

HY VOLTAGE (1) was taken off the arm from gate 7 last start to settle rearward over this trip and finished it off nicely wider on the track. He can get a soft trip and chime in off the speed.

SELECTIONS: FUTURE ASSURED (4), MIRACLE MOOSE (6), SEND IT (2), HY VOLTAGE (1)
SUGGESTED BET: FUTURE ASSURED (4) to win

RACE EIGHT

A second division qualifier to close out the night where second up in Qld, ROCKTAGONAL (9) looks to find the ideal conditions. Snagged back early from gate 5 at t the mile last week, he was making good metres in the closing stages. With a tidy record at a middle trip, he can arrive.

CANT BLUFF YOU (1) lands all the options from the gate and comes into this battle after a last start 2nd at Redcliffe in slick time. Buried three back in the run in that contest, he hit the line smartly when a head from the winner. He has the early hustle to dictate a position and issue the challenge.

MY ULTIMATE VICTOR (2) found the pocket trail from gate 4 here last week and waited for the passing lane to take his shot. Building his speed after angling into the lane, he was beaten a neck and can feature again.

KALYPSO SAM (8) backs up from Tuesday where he was locked away from this same gate and never had a decent crack at them. With the economical trip, he will again be probing for gaps.

SELECTIONS: ROCKTAGONAL (9), CANT BLUFF YOU (1), MY ULTIMATE VICTOR (2), KALYPSO SAM (8)
SUGGESTED BET: ROCKTAGONAL (9) to win
