RACE ONE

Another strong 70Heat has been assembled here which should generate some good tempo. THE BEAUDEN BLUES (2) will be fresh up from the Qld Derby where he found the class a bit too steep. A return to the mile should be in his favour and with speed out of the machine, he can cash in fresh.

ALTA MAGACIAN (9) powered home over the top of them here two starts back after easing from gate 4 to secure position. Eased to the poles in the small field last start, he was charging down the stretch but came up an eyelash short of the prize. Trailing through, the tempo should suit.

HASTY BID (8) has hit some slick form in recent weeks, completing a hat-trick last time out when taking them all the way. This is another step up in grade, but with a soft trip he can chime in.

TASHS SPARTAN (6) was snookered on the poles when making his Qld debut last week and when the gap opened, sprinted smartly, pulling clear to a 4m margin. The gate dents his hopes.

SELECTIONS: THE BEAUDEN BLUES (2), ALTA MAGACIAN (9), HASTY BID (8), TASHS SPARTAN (6)
SUGGESTED BET:

RACE THREE

Starting from outside the second line in a capacity field over the middle trip last time out, MAJOR ICON (7) was put into the contest in the early stages to get up outside the leader. Grinding it out and working hard to hold 3rd when 4m from the winner, he can press on to stake his claim.

ARTS PEREGRINE (1) landed this gate last start and sat in the trail over the 2138 trip when finishing just out of the money behind JESEEKA. Snagged back from gate 5 the start prior, he had the ideal conditions from this gate three back when darting past the leader to score and will be challenging.

BALBOA SHANNON (4) was not suited last start off the second line at the 2138m and did not receive the best run-in transit. Tough in defeat the start prior, he can get forward to feature.

KHULAN KID (8) has bene in great touch since joining the Doug Lee barn, finishing in the top-two in all five appearances. Large in defeat last start from gate 7, if a gap arrives in time, he is up to this.

SELECTIONS: MAJOR ICON (7), ARTS PERGRINE (1), BALBOA SHANNON (4), KHULAN KID (8)
SUGGESTED BET: MAJOR ICON (7) to win

RACE FOUR

This looks an open contest at the middle trip with most of these runners looking for a form improvement. BLACKJACK BART (5) has met some slightly tougher opposition in recent starts, the latest when down the line behind NOBLE TRICK. He might just be able to pinch this.

THUNDAMENTAL (8) found the front before releasing at the 1200 last start and then was not too far from the winner ETERNAL GOLD over this trip. Trying to make ground after easing from gate 6 the start prior, he has the second line options here to issue a closing challenge.

ITS BACK PAGE NEWS (2) has had two runs bac from a spell and been down the line on each occasion. Not suited when restraining from 7 last start, she can get forward to make a play.

NEVADA YANKEE (3) is on the back up from Tuesday where he held the pocket trail from inside the second line before darting through to score. The distance is the query of a repeat.

SELECTIONS: BLACKJACK BART (5), THUNDAMENTAL (8), ITS BACK PAGE NEWS (2), NEVADA YANKEE (3)
SUGGESTED BET: BLACKJACK BART (5) to win

RACE FIVE

Finding the 1x1 trail at the mile two starts back, JAKKI MUN (9) chased hard and was best of the rest behind the in-form KHULAN KID. Showing the hustle to take control last time out, he was able to dictate in front and hold on for a narrow victory. Trailing through early, he can chase a repeat.

BRAEVIEW FELLA (3) rolled forward from the second line to sit parked here two starts back and despite doing the heavy lifting was able to fight them off to claim a 1m margin. Attempting a repeat last start when midfield behind JAKKI MUN, he can fire the early bullets to issue the challenge.

CHRONICLES (2) was building to a win after successive placings and last start was able to cash-in over the 2040 at Redcliffe. Pulling clear to a big win from the second line, he can feature again.

BUKTHSYSTEM (5) worked forward to take control last time out and once in front, held them off to claim a 2m margin. Despite an awkward gate, he can a play for the podium.

SELECTIONS: JAKKI MUN (9), BRAEVIEW FELLA (3), CHRONICLES (2), BUKTHSYSTEM (5)
SUGGESTED BET: JAKKI MUN (9) to win

RACE SIX

With the gate to press the issue early and look for early supremacy, BLACKJACK BETH (2) will then be available to options. Wide off the track from gate 10 over the closing stages last start when 5m astern of the winner, she was just 2m away the start prior when 2nd. This looks wide open.

SPORTING RAGE (7) was a scratching was a scratching two weeks ago when down to make his first Qld appearance. Joining the Shawn Grimsey stable a four-time winner from 12 starts, he was a winner two runs back at Young in smart time. Despite the tough gate, he can throw it down fresh.

DONNY JONES (8) slid across from gate 6 last start before finding the space to drop in for the trail and then run the winner JAKKI MUN to a neck margin. He will be probing for openings here.

GOTTA GO TORQUE (3) was soon shuffled to three back from the ace last start before picking off some good closing metres when 3rd to JAKKI MUN. Settling handy will aid his chances.

SELECTIONS: BLACKJACK BETH (2), SPORTING RAGE (7), DONNY JONES (8), GOTTA GO TORQUE (3)
SUGGESTED BET:

RACE SEVEN

A mixed line up for this one-win pace with some 2YO’s stepping up against older types. 3YO maiden BROOKFIELDS BEAUTY (2) might just have found the right conditions to get on the board fresh after her last start in the Triad Final when down the line. With the best gate of her short career, she can capitalise.

SHES FULLOFSPIRIT (7) is a 2YO stepping up against the older horses following her last start victory. Making the most of gate 1 to take then all the way in that contest and set a slick time, she has been freshened since that win. The gat makes it an ask, but she looks to have the class to challenge.

STUDLEIGH PUNTER (1) put the writing on the wall with a slashing 2nd when charging home two runs back. That effort was franked when dictating last start to open the account. The gate is a plus.

SHES CLASSY (3) faded after being asked to sit parked her on Tuesday at the mile. Placed in all three prior starts, limiting the early toll can see her feature.

SELECTIONS: BROOKFIELDS BEAUTY (2), SHES FULLOFSPIRIT (7), STUDLEIGH PUNTER (1), SHES CLASSY (3)
SUGGESTED BET: BROOKFIELDS BEAUTY (2) to win

RACE EIGHT

JET FORCE (5)
settled in the 1x1 trail last start but could not go with them over the closing stages as ROCKNROLL MAX darted through to score. Just 5m from the winner here two starts back, he finds an open contest and with some early speed, can find a position to capitalise from.

PERFECT FEELING (10) has just the one win from 21 attempts here at HQ as he looks to overcome the outside second line to alter those numbers. Making good ground in the latter stages at Redcliffe last start when returning from a spell, he can be making a closing challenge here.

HEAVENLY WISDOM (6) was making a late raid last start to grab the bronze where she was just 3m from the winner BUKTHSYSTEM. Just 3m from BRAEVIEW FELLA the start prior, the gate stings.

LAZY BLAZE (1) has numbers on this deck that do not make for great reading, however the options from this gate should help his chances of grabbing some minor money.

SELECTIONS: JET FORCE (5), PERFECT FEELING (10), HEAVENLY WISDOM (6), LAZY BLAZE (1)
SUGGESTED BET: JET FORCE (5) to win

RACE NINE

DOOLITTLE DOOZZIE (6)
has the wide gate to overcome but should appreciate dropping into the up to 40 class. Finding the 1x1 trail from gate 5 last time out but unable to go with them over the closing stages, she had placed her previous four in succession and can throw down a challenge here.

CAPTAIN OH CAPTAIN (8) will need some factors in his favour from the inside of the second line to find the edge on his opposition. Collared in the last strides when trying to lead throughout last start, he was just 4m from the winner and can pinch an open contest here.

SWINGING GEORGE (9) was beaten by gate 5 last start at Redcliffe when retreating to the rear and unable to finish it off. Midfield over this trip two starts back, he can follow through to feature.

MOLLIDOR (1) has gone 18 months since her only Qld victory where she took them all the way at Redcliffe. Well held in recent starts, the gate should aid her chances of some minor money here.

SELECTIONS: DOOLITTLE DOOZZIE (6), CAPTAIN OH CAPTAIN (8), SWINGING GEORGE (9), MOLLIDOR (1)
SUGGESTED BET: DOOLITTLE DOOZZIE (6) to win
