The Rocknroll Hanover double millionaire A Rocknroll Dance, who stands at Pete and Chantal McMullen’s Somerset Farms in Queensland, has cemented his position as a top 10 sire with a spate of wins recently.

With more than two months of the racing season left, A Rocknroll Dance has sired 153 individual winners and they have won 343 races and more than $3.6million in stakes.

Heading the vanguard in the last fortnight has been Tango Tara, a $317,000 winner who led throughout in the Kadina Pacing Cup at Globe Derby Park and will be among the leading fancies for next Saturday’s $60,000 SA Pacing Cup.

Blacksadance, the Albion Park track record holder, returned to the winner’s list with an end-to-end win in 1:52 at The Creek sending his earnings over the $350,000 mark.

Meanwhile, Dance And Deliver, a four-year-old gelding, scored a thrilling last stride win in a semi-final of the NSW Breeders Challenge at Menangle in a career-best 1:52.9.

Other recent metropolitan winners sired by A Rocknroll Dance include Rocknroll Spirit (Gloucester Park twice), Paris Abbie (Melton), Fire And Sword 1:51.5 (Menangle), Rocknroll Elliot (Gloucester Park) and Killarney Dance (Hobart).
