RACE ONE

On debut last start when faced with gate 5, BIG ROCK SINGER (1) was taken back early before zipping around to sit parked for the last 900m. In for the fight, it was a smart first race appearance to hold on for the silver behind FIREBOLT. He lands all the options here to get on the board.

SHACKOUTTHEBACK (4) worked hard on debut when fading in the latter stages as TEDDY TURPIN cashed in from the front. Chasing home for the bronze behind FIREBOLT last start after settling in the running line, he can get handy enough to issue a challenge here.

ITS ONE LIFE (2) eased to three poles last start in a strong 2YO contest and then locked wheels and lost some momentum when trying to make a move. Grabbing 2nd. He can feature again here.

TEDDY TURPIN (5) made the most of the situation here two starts back to press on to take control and from the front was able to see it out with a 2m margin. The gate is tricky, but he can chime in.

SELECTIONS: BIG ROCK SINGER (1), SHACKOUTTHEBACK (4), ITS ONE LIFE (2), TEDDY TURPIN (5)
SUGGESTED BET: BIG ROCK SINGER (1) to win

RACE THREE

After finishing in the top-two in his first six starts this campaign, including four wins, KHULAN KID (10) was a little on the plain side last start from the second line. It was a strong closing tempo and unable to get into the contest saw him nearer the rear. Forgiving the run, he can look for the bounce back.

CHARLIE CHUCKLES (9) was first up in over 12 months when snagged back from gate 5. Settled back in the pack, he never warmed up as SWEET GEORGIA BROWN claimed victory. With some smart trial form heading into the return, he can look for a sharper effort here.
MILLIE FRANCIS (1) has done all her Qld racing at Redcliffe and will step out here at HQ for the first time. Forced to work hard from a wide gate last start, the tight alley is a bug bonus in this.

MISTER DIAMOND (3) found the 1x1 trail here three starts back and with the right trip was able to power home over the top to claim victory. Tackling stronger opposition at his past two, he has claims.

SELECTIONS: KHULAN KID (10), CHARLIE CHUCKLES (9), MILLIE FRANCIS (1), MISTER DIAMOND (3)
SUGGESTED BET: KHULAN KID (10) to win

RACE FOUR

Beaten by the second line last start punters were asking WHERES OUR MONEY (3) as the 5YO could not get into the contest after being sent to the post as fav. Fading out after hanging tough outside the leader two starts back, three back he was just a head from the winner. Conditions look right.

MAJOR ICON (7) covered plenty of track last start when wide out searching for position and then never featured. Finishing 3rd in both prior outings when not too far away on each occasion, he can press forward for position to issue a challenge.

BORN TO WRITE (9) is only lightly raced with just the five career starts to her name, however she has won two of those. A tough winner at Redcliffe last start, she has podium claims in this.

ROLLED IN GOLD (1) faced a second line gate last start and from back in the pack never really warmed up over the closing stages. Settling closer to the speed will be a big plus here.

SELECTIONS: MAJOR ICON (7), BORN TO WRITE (9), ROLLED IN GOLD (1)
SUGGESTED BET: WHERES OUR MONEY (3) to win

RACE FIVE

Despite yet to chalk up a victory at the middle trip, BLACKJACK BETH (3) might have found her chance to get one on the board. Pulling clear to claim a big win last start at the mile, she was well beaten the start prior, but did not have much go her way. The gate gives her the chance to capitalise.

FANTASY BLASTER (1) started from this same gate last time out when making her first appearance in Qld and was soon shuffled back in the pack and never found space. With the chance to settle closer to the action this time and secure the economical trip, she can issue a challenge.

AURORA JOY (5) was first up off a freshen last start when sent forward from gate 5 to sit parked. In for the fight in a gritty 2nd, just 3m from the winner, she can get forward again here to feature.

JAKKI MUN (7) has no favours from the wide gate, but he has been hitting good areas in recent starts. Trying to see it out in front over the mile last start, he was a winner three back and has claims.8

SELECTIONS: BLACKJACK BETH (3), FANTASY BLASTER (1), AURORA JOY (5), JAKKI MUN (7)
SUGGESTED BET:

RACE SIX

CAPTAIN OF SPEED (4)
was second up in Qld last time out when pouncing on the poles from gate 1. The leading rights came at the expense of a sub 27 opening panel, and she was still able to finish them off. With further benefit from the run, she can get forward to chase a repeat.

GLENLEDI COMMANDER (3) flexed his muscle last start at Marburg when sent around from the second line to sit parked. Proving too strong in claiming a narrow victory, the move to the front line here is a big help and he can get forward again to throw down the challenge.

MISTER FONZI (1) pressed ahead from gate 3 last start to find the front over the Redcliffe 1780 before being grabbed in the latter stages. With all the options from this alley, he can feature.

HARRY KANE (8) tackled a qualifier last start when eased from gate 5 and then never spotted any gaps thereafter. Luckless the start prior from gate 7, he can follow through and be in the mix.

SELECTIONS: CAPTAIN OF SPEED (4), GLENLEDI COMMANDER (3), MISTER FONZI (1), HARRY KANE (8)
SUGGESTED BET:  Exotics 1-3-4-8

RACE SEVEN

Claiming a qualifying victory two starts back, GOTTA GO MILKING (10) made the most of gate 1 to take them all the way. Making a late raid from a second line gate here last start to be just a neck from the winner, a solid tempo will aid his chances of descending on them.

LOUS DREAM (6) returns from a spell after his last start fade out in the Redcliffe Derby behind ROCKNROLL HAMMER. Midfield from a wide gate over the middle trip the start prior, he has had two trials to prepare for the return, the latest a smart piece of work behind MR MCLAREN in sharp time.

WHATA ROLLER (3) has some slick arm hustle when set free and this might just be the race when the fuse is lit. Not too far from YEP GOT CHOOKS last start, he can get forward to feature.

SO SIRIUS (8) will secure an economical trip, but it might end up being further back than ideal. Asked to sit parked last start in the latest 70Final, his first up run when 3m from THE BEAUDEN BLUES had merit.

SELECTIONS: GOTTA GO MILKING (10), LOUS DREAM (6), WHATA ROLLER (3), SO SIRIUS (8)
SUGGESTED BET: GOTTA GO MILKING (10) to win

RACE EIGHT

He gives away plenty of experience to many of his rivals in this contest but ALWAYS SMOKIN (3) is an above average 3YO. Sent for a let up after being defeated deep into the red last start when 5m from the winner HOLD ONTO YA BLING, his run two back in the Derby Consolation was a smart performance. He can fire fresh.

FALCONS (10) eased from gate 6 here two starts back and was taking short cuts when running up behind them to finish just 6m from the winner. Attacking the line last start at Redcliffe, he can follow through to find the right position to issue a closing challenge here.

STOMPEM (1) was making some late metres last time out at Redcliffe to grab the bronze when 6m astern of the winner. Midfield the start prior, he maps for the soft trip in behind the speed.

THE TAX COLLECTOR (6) has placed in two of his three attempts over the middle trip but looks best suited when able to dictate. He likely does not get that opportunity here but can still chime in.

SELECTIONS: ALWAYS SMOKIN (3), FALCONS (10), STOMPEM (1), THE TAX COLLECTOR (6)
SUGGESTED BET: ALWAYS SMOKIN (3) to win
