RACE ONE

This is a wide open qualifier to kick the night off where ARGYLE (6) can look to defy the tough draw and cash in on his recent form. A winner three starts back when overcoming the outside second line, he has been runner-up at his past two, the latest behind AWAYWEGO. This is within reach.

JOHNSON STEP (8) will be relying on some factors in his favour form this alley, with the chance he is shuffled back when positions are sorted. Eased to secure a spot last start when midfield behind EURO BEAT, wide gates have stung him in prior starts. He will be probing to make a challenge>

ETERNAL GOLD (1) faced a wide second line gate last start and then was not aided when striking some trouble in the run. With the options on hand from this gate, he can chime in.

TIMZEE (2) has now had four runs back form a long break, the latest when back in the running line as AWAYWEGO carved it out in front. Strong to the line two starts back, he can feature here.

SELECTIONS: ARGYLE (6), JOHNSON STEP (8), ETERNAL GOLD (1), TIMZEE (2)
SUGGESTED BET: ARGYLE (6) to win

RACE THREE

With his best performances when allowed to dictate the pace, BEACH VILLA (1) has found the ideal conditions to chase down a fourth win here at The Creek. Pressing on to find the front here two starts back and take them all the way, he can light the lamps and looks tough to stop.

AMAMI (9) was a winner here two starts back from the 1x1 trail, powering up in the closing stages to score. Beaten by the wide second line over the 2138 last start, he has early second line options here and the poles would be the right place with the suspected tempo.

LETS GET ROCKIN (2) was snookered on the poles last start and made some nice metres as they approached the wire to finish midfield behind ALTA REVELRY, He can settle handy to chime in.

FALCONS (4) was game in holding on for the silver two starts back and then last start hit top gear in the stretch to descend on them. Early position will be key to his chances of grabbing a minor.

SELECTIONS: BEACH VILLA (1), AMAMI (9), LETS GET ROCKIN (2), FALCONS (4)
SUGGESTED BET: BEACH VILLA (1) to win

RACE FOUR

With the absence of the some of the top-liners for this Divided open, TURN IT UP (7) should be able to return to winning form despite the impost of the outside front line. Faced with a second line alley in two runs since resuming, he can put the left hand blinker on, touch down in front and cash in.

BETTERTHANAROCKET (6) sat back in the pack from a second line alley here two starts back and when set free had the closing power to arrive for the prize. Locked away last start as FUTURE ASSURE commandeered a powerful victory, he can be looking to make a closing challenge here.

MIRACLE MOOSE (4) has been tackling standing start events at his past three, the latest when trying to make some closing metres when just out of the money behind TAIRLAW TOLL. He has podium claims.

HY VOLTAGE (2) was snagged off the fate last week and from the rear was never able to get warm as CLASSIE WASHINGTON controlled it from the front. This is harder but an improved gate helps.

SELECTIONS: TURN IT UP (7), BETTERTHANAROCKET (6), MIRACLE MOOSE (4), HY VOLTAGE (2)
SUGGESTED BET: TURN IT UP (7) to win

RACE FIVE

Placed just once in four attempts here at HQ, SO SIRIUS (9) might just find this race a shade easier than what he has faced previously. A beaten fav in the Heat when asked to sit parked as HOLI STARZZZ arrived, he was 3m from LOUS DREAM two starts back. Trailing through, he can arrive.

PRESS STATEMENT (2) started from inside the second line last start and was locked away when looking for the gap to finish just outside the money as EURO BEAT arrived. Trying to fight them off from the front two starts back as CATSEYE BEACH arrived, he will be gripping on here.

WINDY HILL WALLY (1) started from inside the second line at Redcliffe last start and was making a late play to be under 2m from the winner CAPTAINS PICK. With the soft trip, he will be probing.

LANAI (10) was runner-up on The Triangle two starts back when finding the front and trying to repel the challengers. Never spotting a gap last start when 2m from CAPTAINS PICK, he can chime in here.

SELECTIONS: SO SIRIUS (9), PRESS STATEMENT (2), WINDY HILL WALLY (1), LANAI (10)
SUGGESTED BET: SO SIRIUS (9) to win

RACE SIX

LORD ZARIAS (1)
was put out of business last week when striking trouble. Hanging tough outside the leader two starts back and fading late, the improved gate will go along way to seeing an improved performance here. Collared by APHORISM after leading here three back, he will be gripping on.

AWAYWEGO (5) made full use of the inside lane last start to keep them wide and see it out on the front end with 8m to spare. Fading after a tough first over trip at the 2138 two starts back, he may need to roll the sleeves again here but some winning confidence is a big plus.

EURO BEAT (6) found the 1x1 trail from outside the second line at the mile here last week and when asked for the effort, sprinted hard to pull clear to a 4m margin. The wide gate makes it a tough repeat.

CAPTIAN NEMO (9) was beaten by the outside second line over the 2138 last start, never able to get into the contest behind ALTA REVELRY. A tidy 3rd here three back, he has podium claims.

SELECTIONS: LORD ZARIAS (1), AWAYWEGO (5), EURO BEAT (6), CAPTIAN NEMO (9)
SUGGESTED BET:  LORD ZARIAS (1) to win

RACE SEVEN

Runner-up in four successive mare’s qualifiers, MERRY DANCER (3) has been no further than 6.5m from the winner at her past seven starts. Trying to make a late raid last start when 5m astern of the winner OOGA CHAKA, this looks her chance to breakthrough for an elusive qualifying victory.

WINONA WRITER (4) should take plenty of benefit from her first run for the new stable here last week when faced with the outside second line. Trying to get into the contest when finishing midfield, she can get closer to the action from this alley to issue the challenge.

SOMETHINGABOUTLEXY (8) was stuck looking for position here three starts back from gate 4 and after easing could not get into the battle. A last starts Dubbo winner in slick time, she will be probing.

SHEREACTS (2) was locked away on the inside last start after starting from the second line and was trying to rally late. Runner-up two starts back after sitting parked, she can be thereabouts.

SELECTIONS: MERRY DANCER (3), WINONA WRITER (4), SOMETHINGABOUTLEXY (8), SHEREACTS (2)
SUGGESTED BET: MERRY DANCER (3) to win

RACE EIGHT

An open mare’s contest where the early speed and mapping looks a little confusing. ELOUISA DALE (5) was asked to sit parked last start at the 2138 and after the tough trip faded in the closing stages as BETTERTHANAROCKET arrived. Fading after setting the tempo two starts back, this looks within reach.

SHEZ NOTORIOUS (6) has been in super form and lines up here after a last start hit and run mission to Menangle where she grabbed the bronze when 6m from the winner. Holding on for the bronze behind SEND IT two starts back, the wide gate hurts but she is right up to the challenge.

MIGHT AS WELL (8) has been a model of consistency since returning from a spell, but just keeps coming up a little short. In the money at her past three in succession, she has the second line options to feature.

MISS MUCHO (7) is afforded no favours from the outside gate and had the driver tipped out last week. A winner via the passing lane three starts back, she can be chiming in here.

SELECTIONS: ELOUISA DALE (5), SHEZ NOTORIOUS (6), MIGHT AS WELL (8), MISS MUCHO (7)
SUGGESTED BET: ELOUISA DALE (5) to win

RACE NINE

Placed in five of seven outings since resuming from a spell with bad gates conspiring against her, ARCO (2) finally lands a marble to take her shot. Looming up to issue the closing challenge when a head from the winner CAPTAIN OF SPEED last start, she can get forward and look to capitalise.

APHRODITE (6) faced the outside second line here last week and was trying to launch the closing raid but had to settle for the silver behind MISSTREPO. Making some nice closing metres when not too far from ILLAVABUBBLES two starts back, she can throw it down in this line up.

ROLLED IN GOLD (1) was looming up strongly here last week but just peaked late in holding on for the silver behind KEAYANG TARA. A winner from this gate three starts back, the gate is a big plus.

SISTA BLISS (5) had the closing power to arrive for victory over the 2040 at Redcliffe last start and claim her third career victory. Holding on for bronze the start prior, she can be thereabouts.

SELECTIONS: ARCO (2), APHRODITE (6), ROLLED IN GOLD (1), SISTA BLISS (5)
SUGGESTED BET: ARCO (2) to win

RACE TEN

An open trot to close the card where CALL ME TROUBLE (9) might just appreciate the slightly smaller field size under these conditions. He made a critical error last week soon after the start but did a huge job to finish as close as he did behind MAJESTIC HARRY. If he can avoid any errors, he can arrive.

GLOBAL FLIGHT (6) has struggled to get it all together since winning the G1 DJA here in July 2022, with that victory the last time he tasted success. To be just 11m from the winner last start was a solid effort after the errors and with two tidy trials to earn the return, can look to challenge.

TAM OSHANTER (5) was not suited last in a strongly run 13-furlong trip and faded in the closing stages. Game in defeat from 20m here two starts back when parked, he can get forward to feature.

HATEITWHENYOURRITE (1) returns from a let up and steps up in grade but comes up with the right lane. Striking trouble last start in the run, with good early manners, she can position to grab a minor.

SELECTIONS: CALL ME TROUBLE (9), GLOBAL FLIGHT (6), TAM OSHANTER (5), HATEITWHENYOURRITE (1)
SUGGESTED BET: CALL ME TROUBLE (9) to win
