RACE ONE

After two runs back from a spell, not much has been in the favour of MR MCLAREN (4). Striking trouble when resuming in a small 6 horse FFA taken by LEAP TO FAME, he then copped gate 7 when FUTURE ASSURE carved out a 1.51.6 mile. He can get the campaign back on track here.

CLASSIE WASHINGTON (3) was given his shot in the Be Good Johnny Sprint last start and it was always going to be tough after landing the second line. The run was full of merit and sectionally was a terrific run to be just 7m from FUTURE ASSURED. Back to this grade, he can throw it down.

BOMBADIER JUJON (1) faced the outside second line last start over the 2138 trip and was always facing a task against the tempo. He faces a big gate improvement and will be stalking the speed.

HY VOLTAGE (10) is chasing down a hat-trick after a pair of midweek victories at the 2138 and then last start when dictating at the mile. The gate hurts but he can be powering home.

SELECTIONS: MR MCLAREN (4), CLASSIE WASHINGTON (3), BOMBADIER JUJON (1), HY VOLTAGE (10)
SUGGESTED BET: MR MCLAREN (4) to win

RACE TWO

First up in nine months last time out, TEDDY DISCO (4) forced the issue early from gate 5 to find the front and tried to control the tempo after a 27.6 opener. Just peaking in the closing stages when collared by a stalking OBI ONE, he will be tightened from the run and can bounce back with venom.

GOTTA GO MILKING (9) started from a wide second line gate here last week over the 2138 and after settling on the poles was all over their backs in the stretch trying to find an uninterrupted passage. Hanging tough outside the leader two starts back, he can trail through to issue the challenge.

NURBURGRING (1) started from this gate last week when settled in the trail over the 2138 and holding on for the bronze behind POCKET THE CASH. With the pocket trip again, he can feature.

ROCK SUPREME (7) was returning from a spell last week when sent straight to the front over the mile and dictating was able to see it out in fine style. The gate dents the chances of a repeat.

SELECTIONS: TEDDY DISCO (4), GOTTA GO MILKING (9), NURBURGRING (1), ROCK SUPREME (7)
SUGGESTED BET: TEDDY DISCO (4) to win

RACE THREE

With two runs back from a spell now under his girth where he has faced the second line on each occasion, CAPTAIN SHUFFLES (1) snares the ideal alley at the right time to boost his ID23 ranking. Game in defeat after pressing forward last start to sit parked, he was a close 2nd when resuming and can run a slick mile in front.

TIMS A TROOPER (10) was out the back and making no impression, as was basically the entire field here last week when LEAP TO FAME was in a different postcode to the opposition. He should take benefit form the run which was his first in a month but the extreme gate makes the challenge tough.

I CAST NO SHADOW (2) has had two runs back from a spell, the latest when buried in the run after retreating from gate 6 as LEAP TO FAME set a track record. This is his chance to chase some improved form.

ALTA REVELRY (3) was beaten by gate 7 last start when retreating for position and then always facing a task against the tempo. Chargin home here three starts back, positioning cheaply will be key.

SELECTIONS: CAPTAIN SHUFFLES (1), TIMS A TROOPER (10), I CAST NO SHADOW (2), ALTA REVELRY (3)
SUGGESTED BET: CAPTAIN SHUFFLES (1) to win

RACE FOUR

Claiming a mare’s qualifier here four runs back when charging off the arm, CAPTAIN OF SPEED (1) was able to fight them off and claim victory. Not much has been in her favour since and with the benefit of an improved gate and back to mare’s company for the first time, she gets her chance.

GWYNETH P (8) was staring down a hat-trick here on Tuesday when faced with gate 5 where she eased early over the 2138 trip. Making a strong run down the stretch, she was only 2m astern of the winner to claim 2nd. A winner up the passing lane in both prior starts, she will be stalking here.

MADAMOISELLE JUJON (3) was runner-up here last start when settled in the trail and chasing to hold on for the silver behind the dictating winner SOEXTRA. Chasing home from outside the second line behind FRANKE FEROCIOUS two starts back, clashing with her own sex is a bonus.

MIGHT AS WELL (2) was a winner from inside the second line here three starts back after easing off the inside to sit in the running line and finish best. Buried her past two, the front line is a big plus.

SELECTIONS: CAPTAIN OF SPEED (1), GWYNETH P (8), MADAMOISELLE JUJON (3), MIGHT AS WELL (2)
SUGGESTED BET:

RACE FIVE

Forcing the issue from gate 5 here on Tuesday when sent hard off the arm, SHEZA CRACKER (1) found the front through a 27.6 opening panel and then secured a big breather with a 31 in the next 400. Seeing it out with 12m to spare in a new career PB, she has the gate to replicate.

JAZIAH (8) was a Redcliffe winner two starts back when finishing best in the closing stage to claim a 2m margin. Fading after sitting parked last start from a wide gate, she maps for the ideal trip in behind the speed here and if she still has some momentum in the stretch, can issue a challenge.

JO AN JO (7) is afforded no favours from this alley but should take some benefit from her last start when resuming from a spell for the new barn. Back to her own sex will assist the process.

SISTA BLISS (10) eased from gate 5 last start and was hitting the line strongly in the closing stages when under 4m from the winner SAVING MAJOR PERCY. The gate makes it a tough ask.

SELECTIONS: SHEZA CRACKER (1), JAZIAH (8), JO AN JO (7), SISTA BLISS (10)
SUGGESTED BET: SHEZA CRACKER (1) to win

RACE SIX

Another second line gate for the consistent ARGYLE (9) who has not been that far away in recent attempts. Gate 10 over the mile last week was put out of reach when ROCK SUPREME set the tempo in front and two starts back, he was only 3m from SAINT CRUSADER. This looks within reach.

LUXURY LAD (2) has been in super form on The Triangle, winning his past two starts in slick time when able to roll in front. Backing up from Wed where he kept them rolling at the 1780, he has the gate to put himself into a challenging position and chase the threepeat.

PACIFICO DREAM (1) is first up for the Dixon stable, looking to resurrect an interrupted career that includes a G1 victory as a 3YO. With a tidy trial performance, he has the gate to feature first up.

ROCKTAGONAL (8) has been finishing off strongly at his past two starts, grabbing the bronze on each occasion. 3m from LUXURY LAD on Wed night, he will be searching for open space here to chime in.

SELECTIONS: ARGYLE (9), LUXURY LAD (2), PACIFICO DREAM (1), ROCKTAGONAL (8)
SUGGESTED BET: ARGYLE (9) to win

RACE SEVEN

Despite being faced with the outside second line here last week, IRON CLAD (5) was put into the contest in the middle stages but continued to keep inching his way towards them, eventually claiming a smart 2m victory. He looks a colt on the up and can look to flex again here.

ROCKON ROCKY (1) eased forward from gate 5 last start and asked to roll the sleeves, was in for the fight when 2m from the winner IRON CLAD. Luckless the start prior when searching for a gap that did not open, he lands all the options from this alley and has the hustle to throw it down.

BRONSKI ZULU (6) forced his way to the front from gate 4 last start and was trying to see them off when finishing with the bronze when 2m astern of the winner. The wider gate makes it a tough ask.

COSMIC FLYER (8) was buried away last start from gate 1 and was making some nice metres in the closing stages when eased off heels to be the widest runner. With second line options, he has claims.

SELECTIONS: IRON CLAD (5), ROCKON ROCKY (1), BRONSKI ZULU (6), COSMIC FLYER (8)
SUGGESTED BET: IRON CLAD (5) to win

RACE EIGHT

Racing in nice touch in recent weeks, the draw and map favours WHATA JOURNEY (1) being able to cash in here. A winner two starts back in much gentler up to 40 company where she overcame the second line, she was strong to the line last start from gate 10. This looks well within reach.

APHRODITE (4) loomed strongly here on Tuesday after being faced with a second line gate, going within a blister of claiming victory. Sent out fav the start prior when 6m from the smart looking KING VANCE. He can look to press forward to get handy and issue a challenge.

GOLDIES A DELIGHT (5) bounced back to winning form in impressive fashion at Redcliffe last time out, front running in slick time with 18m to spare. The wider gate makes it tricky.

SERGIOS ROCKET (8) was a Redcliffe winner two starts back when burrowing through to hold them out and take them all the way. Forced to sit parked outside GOLDIES A DLEIGHT last start, a softer trip here suits.

SELECTIONS: WHATA JOURNEY (1), APHRODITE (4), GOLDIES A DELIGHT (5), SERGIOS ROCKET (8)
SUGGESTED BET: WHATA JOURNEY (1) to win

RACE NINE

Sent out as the fav here last week at the mile, ADELLE (7) was working hard in the run and could not finish it off when fading out of the money as FUNNY FACE arrived. Too far back and unable to get into it the start prior, what they do early is the query, but she can look to bounce back to winning form.

MY ULTIMATE EDDIE (1) has been running some super races but just finding one a little better each time. Runner-up at his past three, the latest was when 3m from MAJESTIC HARRY. Sitting parked when best of the rest behind ADELLE two starts back, he can be in the striking position.

FUNNY FACE (8) had the perfect trip in behind the leader here last week and when angled to the passing lane, darted through and pulled clear to a 4m margin to claim the prize. She has the second line options this time.

VAN SANK (6) resumes from a spell after his last appearance in the G1 Qld Trotters Cup. Fading after a tough run in that, he opened the pipes with a smart trial and stays under notice.

SELECTIONS: ADELLE (7), MY ULTIMATE EDDIE (1), FUNNY FACE (8), VAN SANK (6)
SUGGESTED BET: ADELLE (7) to win

RACE TEN

FOR REAL LIFE (4) proved last week is the Real Deal when overcoming the inside second line to put away a handy field of 3YO’s, that he will gain clash with here. Finding the gap to ease off, he moved around to lead the one-wide line and never over did it, eventually moving forward, and claiming a string win. Rinse and repeat.

FRANKIE FEROCIOUS (2) was sent forward from gate 7 here last week to light the lamps and after a steady opening 800 of the last mile, tried to bust it open with a sub 27 third panel. Unable to put the bite on them in the closing stages, he missed the money. With the improved gate he can throw it down.

ALWAYS SMOKIN (3) weas sent forward to sit parked last week and despite the tough run over the mile, was still giving in the closing stages when 6m from OK BOOMER. He can throw some early heat here to feature.

ARODA (5) faces a sticky alley here and positioning cheaply will be the key to his chances. The tempo was against him last start making ground behind OK BOOMER, but he has podium claims in this.

SELECTIONS: FOR REAL LIFE (4), FRANKIE FEROCIOUS (2), ALWAYS SMOKIN (3), ARODA (5)
SUGGESTED BET: FOR REAL LIFE (4) to win
