RACE ONE

ONLYSBEST (3) is on the back-up from Thursday night where he was game in defeat. A winner here three starts back when returning from a spell and sent straight to the front and holding them off to claim a 4m margin, he can be handy enough to grab another one here.

DIEGO DELGADO (6) overcame the outside second line at HQ four starts back, descending on a hot tempo up front to claim a 2m margin in a new PB time. Pressing on here two starts back to lead them up but unable to see it out, gate 7 over the AP mile was his undoing last start. The gate hurts.

HEADWIN (1) made the most of gate 1 at Marburg last start when burrowing through and taking them all the way with 7m to spare. The gate helps the cause, his middle trip record is the concern.

SUNNY COVE (5) started from outside the second line here at the sprint trip last start and was making late metres when grabbing 2nd, beaten 5m behind the winner LORD OF MISRULE. The distance looks against him.

SELECTIONS: ONLYSBEST (3), DIEGO DELGADO (6), HEADWIN (1), SUNNY COVE (5)
SUGGESTED BET: ONLYSBEST (3) to win

RACE TWO

CAPTAIN OH CAPTAIN (6) started from outside the second line at Marburg last start where he was sent to the post a red figure fav but never got into the contest. Beaten by gate 7 the start prior over the AP 2138 behind subsequent winner MAJOR MONDO, he can defy the outside alley to arrive.

DOWNTOWN MANHATTAN (4) found the front at Marburg last start and copped some heat through the middle stages which saw him out of credits well before the home bend. Grabbing the bronze here three starts back, he can press forward to make a challenge.

WHATA REACTOR (7) was runner-up here last start from inside the second line, working off the poles early as the lone second line starter. With the right trip she can be thereabouts once again.

BEAU HART (1) started from inside the second line here three starts back and with the soft trip was able to grab 3rd. With the chance of an economical trip from this gate, he has podium claims.

SELECTIONS: CAPTAIN OH CAPTAIN (6), DOWNTOWN MANHATTAN (4), WHATA REACTOR (7), BEAU HART (1)
SUGGESTED BET: CAPTAIN OH CAPTAIN (6) to win

RACE THREE

HE SAID SHE SAID (1) is well suited when racing on the poles and comes up with the gate to match the preferred pattern. Trying to see it out in tougher grade two runs back as PELICAN FLY arrived, he backs up from the inside second line on Thursday and has the gate to capitalise in this line up.

MAYWYN TROUBADOR (7) was buried away last start from the second line over the AP mile and never really warmed up. Forced to hang tough outside the leader over this trip two starts back, he will be sweating on the gap arriving in time to throw down the challenge.

DOCTA FEELGOOD (4) was a winner here three starts back when rolling forward from this same gate to sit parked and hold on for a narrow win. Tackling tougher line ups his past two, a return to this deck is a big plus.

CHARLIE CHUCKLES (5) was a winner here three starts back when rolling forward from a wide gate and proving too gritty. Despite the wide gate he can be thereabouts.

SELECTIONS: HE SAID SHE SAID (1), MAYWYN TROUBADOR (7), DOCTA FEELGOOD (4), CHARLIE CHUCKLES (5)
SUGGESTED BET: Exotics 1-4-5-7

RACE FOUR

PRETTY GOOD REASON (1) started from inside the second line last time out and was hitting the line in smart fashion to be 3m from the winner after being shuffled to three back along the inside. With good speed out of the machine, she can protect things early and has the options thereafter to cash in.

WATERLINE (3) struck trouble last start which ended her chances after being sent out as the favourite. Sent forward to sit parked over the AP mile two starts back, she was midfield as AURORA JOY arrived. From this gate, she can forward to throw it down.

TRALEE MAXIE (5) was faced with the outside front line alley last start and was attacking the line in style to finish 3rd when under 4m from the winner. The gate hurts but he can be closing late.

TRACER BULLET (2) was asked to hang tough last start and sitting parked finished out of the money behind DONNY JONES. Wide off the track the start prior, from this gate he can be close enough to feature.

SELECTIONS: PRETTY GOOD REASON (1), WATERLINE (3), TRALEE MAXIE (5), TRACER BULLET (2)
SUGGESTED BET: PRETTY GOOD REASON (1) to win

RACE FIVE

FEELING THE POWER (2) has had two runs back from a spell and finished with the bronze on each occasion. Releasing for a trail last start over the middle trip, he tried to lead throughout when resuming. Tightened from those two runs, he finds conditions to capitalise.

MISS PAU (3) held the pocket trail from gate 1 over the sprint at Marburg last start and grabbed the silver behind RANCHO MAN when under 2m away. A gritty 3rd here four starts back when sitting parked, she can be close enough to issue a challenge in this line up.

LEAPING LEO (1) settled in the trail from this gate last start when holding on for 3rd behind JANG PEL. With the chance for an economical trip, he has podium claims once again.

SKIPPERS SWAN SONG (5) settled in the 1x1 trail last start but never got warm when out of the money behind THREE MACHS. Charging late to score here five starts back, she can chime in.

SELECTIONS: FEELING THE POWER (2), MISS PAU (3), LEAPING LEO (1), SKIPPERS SWAN SONG (5)
SUGGESTED BET: FEELING THE POWER (2) to win

RACE SIX

BATMAN BART (5) was a winner from outside the second line here three starts back when working home wide off the track to claim a narrow victory. Making a closing rally to be within a head of the winner over the AP mile two starts back, he can press forward here to capitalise.

JUST ONE GOOD ONE (2) found the ideal conditions last start over the 1850 at Marburg, sent around them early to sit parked. Pulling clear over the closing stages, he posted a 6m margin to justify the punter support. From this gate, he will be getting forward to throw it down.

FEEL THE THRILL (7) has worked his way back into form and lines up here chasing a hat-trick of victories. Claiming the win at the middle trip last start, he will be searching for openings.

BETTING BARON (4) made the most of gate 1 two starts back when leading throughout to score at the AP mile. Holding on for the bronze last start, he can be chiming in again here.

SELECTIONS: BATMAN BART (5), JUST ONE GOOD ONE (2), FEEL THE THRILL (7), BETTING BARON (4)
SUGGESTED BET: BATMAN BART (5) to win

RACE SEVEN

AQUA CRUISER (9) was sent to the post as fav last time out at Marburg from gate 1 and after being crossed, retook the front. Trying to fight off the challengers, he had to settle for the silver when 2m from the winner ROCKNROLL MAX. The gate stings, but this assignment looks well within reach.

CIRCLE LINE (7) claimed victory over the middle trip here two starts back when coming with the closing run to descend on them and take the prize. Wide off the track at Marburg last start, he can follow early speed here and if able to get a gap with momentum on his side, issue the challenge.

LORD DENZEL (4) was a winner here five starts back when finding the pocket trail and darting up the passing lane to score. Fading out at Marburg last start, he can settle handy to grab a minor here.

DOC HARVEY (8) started from the second line at Marburg last start and was making some closing metres to grab the bronze behind JUST ONE GOOD ONE. The right trail can see him chime in again.

SELECTIONS: AQUA CRUISER (9), CIRCLE LINE (7), LORD DENZEL (4), DOC HARVEY (8)
SUGGESTED BET: AQUA CRUISER (9) to win
