Racing Queensland advises that the Emerald Jockey Club race meeting scheduled for today, Tuesday, January 23, has been abandoned.
The decision has been made after a determination by the officiating raceday veterinarian that, following the results of wet bulb tests, the conditions which will most likely prevail tomorrow would be too extreme for horses to race in.
RQ will, following the abandonment, consider programming alternatives/opportunities within the region over the next week.
Participants with commitments at the meeting have been advised via SMS.
