LUXURY LAD (1) was a winner at this trip three starts back when taking control and fighting them off to score with 6m in hand. Not suited by a second line gate at his next appearance, he was 6m from the winner last start at Redcliffe when eased in the early stages. He can look to capitalise.

RACE FIVE

Ending last season in a nice vein of form and starting to put things together, BEACH ON FIRE (4) lines up here after claiming two wins in his past four starts, the latest when scoring as a red figure fav over the 2138 last start. He can force the issue early and gets his chance to go back-to-back.

BRAEVIEW FELLA (3) was a Redcliffe winner three starts back when pressing to the front and taking them all the way. Releasing here last start after finding the front and then finishing best of the rest behind the smart looking OUR INDIFFERENCE, he has the gate to throw down the challenge.

RISK TAKER (6) was runner-up on debut from inside the second line at Redcliffe before claiming a strong victory second up. The gate stings, but he has shown his share of ability.

POWERMOVE (2) has also suffered an abandonment at what would have been her debut. A 3YO daughter of Rock N Roll Heaven, she is out of the former handy race mare Covert Beauty. With a tidy trial effort behind HOT ROD HARRY, the debutants look to hold the keys to this contest.
