RACE ONE

LITTLEMICKEY (4)
has placed in two of his three career attempts, the latest here last start when stuck when searching for position before making some late metre to grab the bronze. Runner-up on debut behind subsequent winner RISK TAKER, he looks to have found his account opener.

POWERMOVE (8) was 3rd on debut behind the well-supported PUNTERS JEWEL after picking up late ground along the passing lane. Taking some experience from that first outing, she gets her first look at Redcliffe here and if able to handle the three turns, can be making a play.

HAPPY SNAP (2) is still chasing the elusive first victory after 28 appearances, the latest when setting the tempo and holding on for 2nd at Marburg as ONYA BIKE BUDDY pulled clear. The gate helps.

MELTON SCHLEGER (6) has the wide gate to negotiate but is slowly starting to put things together. Just behind the money last start, he can be thereabouts once again here.

SELECTIONS: LITTLEMICKEY (3), POWERMOVE (8), HAPPY SNAP (2), MELTON SCHLEGER (6)
SUGGESTED BET: LITTLEMICKEY (4) to win

RACE TWO

APRIL IN PARIS (8) has now had two runs back from a spell and with the added fitness can look to take full advantage here. Proving costly to supporters after being defeated as an odds-on elect at her past three in succession, she can be the hunter here after being the hunted in front in those three.

HURRIKANE JEWELS (1) showed improvement third up from a spell last start when taking the trail from this same alley and holding on for the bronze behind SWEET RIPPIN. With the benefit of the ace once again, she can be tucked away looking to issue a challenge.

MAGIC NITRO (3) was just behind the money last start after facing a second line gate and two starts back was wide in the closing stages chasing DATSINAHURRI. She has podium claims.

FEISTYNFEARLESS (5) is one from two here on The Triangle, breaking maiden ranks two starts back when taking them all the way. This is an easier assignment than last time, and he is in the mix.

SELECTIONS: APRIL IN PARIS (8), HURRIKANE JEWELS (1), MAGIC NITRO (3), FEISTYNFEARLESS (5)
SUGGESTED BET: APRIL IN PARIS (8) to win

RACE THREE

TACKAS LAST DANCE (3) started from inside the second line two starts back over the AP mile and after being snookered in the run, found some late gaps to grab the bronze, Not that far away in a much stronger mare’s qualifier last start, she can settle close enough to cash in here.

IM A CLASSY GIRL (4) faced the outside second line here two starts back and was strong to the line over the latter stages to finish runner-up. Striking trouble last start when throwing her chances away, positioning cheaply will be the key to her challenging chances.

BULLDOG BRAWLER (8) will strip fitter from his first up assignment when working home wide off the track at Marburg from a second line gate and just missing the money. He is worth consideration.

FRIDAY THIRTEENTH (1) has not been too far away of late, placed in three of his past five. Runner-up at Marburg last time out from the ace, he can secure the trip to chime in here.

SELECTIONS: TACKAS LAST DANCE (3), IM A CLASSY GIRL (4), BULLDOG BRAWLER (8), FRIDAY THIRTEENTH (1)
SUGGESTED BET: TACKAS LAST DANCE (3) to win

RACE FOUR

RANCHO MAN (8) started from inside the second line last start and was soon buried in the run and never a factor thereafter when missing the money. A wide gate and lack of suitable track position dented his Marburg chances two starts back. This presents as a more favourable opportunity.

GOSLING IN FLIGHT (6) is afforded no favours from the outside paint, but his recent performances suggest this is within reach. A winner when overcoming the outside second line two starts back, he was a beaten fav after setting the tempo last time. He can look to defy the alley.

DUKE (7) is never too far away in this type of contest and will be searching for an opening. Just 4m away last start, it followed a gritty 3rd after working.

JAMAICAN RESORT (3) tried to stave off the challengers two starts back when lighting the lamps but had to settle for 3rd. Not suited when parked last time, if he can cross, he is a podium hope.

SELECTIONS: RANCHO MAN (8), GOSLING IN FLIGHT (6), DUKE (7), JAMAICAN RESORT (3)
SUGGESTED BET: RANCHO MAN (8) to win

RACE FIVE

THERESACHANCE (2) was staring down a hat-trick when lining up in a handy 50-60 event at HQ three starts back and trailing the speed from inside the second line was able to hold on for the silver. Wide gates have dented his prospects at his past two, with a return to a tight gate a huge plus here.

ARTISTIC SAINT (1) pressed forward to set the speed here three starts back and once in control was able to pull clear over the closing stages to take a 10m margin. Taking cover in a much stronger contest over the AP mile last start, he has the options to issue the challenge.

PLAYA BLANCA (7) settled in the 1x1 trail last start when tackling a stronger mare’s event and could not go with them in the closing stages. Striking trouble two back, the second line options help here.

VINDICATE (4) finished last season in some nice touch and transferred that to a gritty 3rd at her only appearance this year. Arriving in the last stride two starts back, she can feature here.

SELECTIONS: THERESACHANCE (2), ARTISTIC SAINT (1), PLAYA BLANCA (7), VINDICATE (4)
SUGGESTED BET: Exotics 1-2-4-7

RACE SIX

ALTANA BLUE (2) has been hampered by the inside second line at his past two outings over the 2040 trip. Fading after a tough trip from a wide gate three starts back, he looks to secure an improved set up from this alley and settling cheaply on the speed can look to stake his claim.

HEAD NOISE (5) faces a tricky gate here but did show good improvement last start to finish midfield after being sent forward to set the tempo. Tackling some stronger mare’s opposition in her previous two starts when finishing at the rear, some confidence from last start should help in this line up.

EXPLANATION NOTED (7) will be needing the gaps to arrive at the right time from this alley as she looks at risk of being buried away. 2m away from three fence last start, she will be probing.

UNDERTHEKILT (8) has placed at his past two starts, the latest when under 4m from the winner after making some late metres. He can trial through to chime in again.

SELECTIONS: ALTANA BLUE (2), HEAD NOISE (5), EXPLANATION NOTED (7), UNDERTHEKILT (8)
SUGGESTED BET: ALTANA BLUE (2) to win

RACE SEVEN

DATITUDE (8) is a seven-time winner here on his home deck but has not been sighted under race conditions since March last year here on The Triangle. Chasing home to finish midfield last start in slick time at the AP mile, this looks the right set up and opposition to break a drought.

ASHLEE NITRO (9) ended last season with a victory when taking cover from gate 1 and landing the loot up the passing lane. Making some late metres when unplaced last start behind HEY MISTER TAYLOR from this same gate, the tempo looks more favourable here.

OYSTER STRIDE (3) has placed in both appearances this year, the latest via the passing lane when grabbing the bronze. With early hustle, he can get forward to feature.

BLACKJACK BETH (4) tackled a mare’s qualifier last start when buried in the run and never featuring from back in the pack. Runner-up here four runs back, she is a podium hope.

SELECTIONS: DATITUDE (8), ASHLEE NITRO (9), OYSTER STRIDE (3), BLACKJACK BETH (4)
SUGGESTED BET: DATITUDE (8) to win
