RACE ONE

With a win strike rate of 50% from his past 10 starts, WINDY HILL WALLY (8) has been racing super consistent in recent times. Chasing a hat-trick two starts back, a wide gate and an electric tempo were his undoing. Bouncing back last week when bursting out of the pack to arrive, he can be coiled away here awaiting the gap.

JIMARTEE (5) has finished in the top-two at all three of his Qld appearances, the latest when runner-up after being sent out as the fav. Eased from gate 6, he was attacking the line but BOMBADIER JUJON was able to hold him late. With early options, he can challenge again.

GOTTA GO MILKING (6) has been in super form in his past five starts, the latest when claiming a PB with a power running performance. Game in defeat the start prior, he is right in the fight.

LOCHINVAR JAG (4) has been thereabouts without threatening for the victory in recent outings, the latest when 2m astern of the winner. Positioning cheaply can see him in the mix.

SELECTIONS: WINDY HILL WALLY (8), JIMARTEE (5), GOTTA GO MILKING (6), LOCHINVAR JAG (4)
SUGGESTED BET: WINDY HILL WALLY (8) win/place

 RACE TWO

Resuming from a let up with a strong 2nd over the mile, TURN IT UP (12) was eating into the margin as LEAP TO FAME made it mission impossible for the chasing pack with a 26.5 close out from the front. With his tactical point to point speed, he might just get set alight in the middle stages to grab hold of this.

MANILA PLAYBOY (11) was also resuming from a freshen last start and also forced to chase home behind LEAP TO FAME. That was at the 2138 here last week and it was a smart performance that was backed up on the sectional sheet. He looks a big threat.

DEUS EX (6) was tucked away against the markers here last start and was picking up some late metres to grab the bronze. With the benefit of the front line, he can make an early play.

NORTHVIEW HUSTLER (9) has been beaten by wide front-line gates at his past two starts, when chasing home LEAP TO FAME. A winner at his previous two, he is in the mix here.

SELECTIONS: TURN IT UP (12), MANILA PLAYBOY (11), DEUS EX (6), NORTHVIEW HUSTLER (9)
SUGGESTED BET: TURN IT UP (12) to win

RACE THREE

Continuing a hot streak of form last start, BANGKOK DEEJAY (11) sat in the running line watching a sizzling tempo unfold. Waiting until swinging for home, he let down in his usual strong way and was able to reel them in on the line. Completing a hat-trick, all the wins were at the mile and the big query is now to transfer it to the middle trip.

ARGYLE (9) was second up off a freshen last start when faced with the outside second line. Making a closing raid to get withing a half-neck of the winner MURPHYS REWARD, the effort was franked on the clock. The trip is of no concern and with the right run, he can throw it down.

MISTER REACTOR (3) was second up off a let up here last time out where he was able to defy the outside front line to score a 7m margin. From the gate he can press forward to feature.

ALTA MAGACIAN (4) started from inside the second line last start and did not have the smoothest passage when chasing home to just miss the minors. He is a podium hope here.

SELECTIONS: BANGKOK DEEJAY (11), ARGYLE (9), MISTER REACTOR (3), ALTA MAGACIAN (4)
SUGGESTED BET:

RACE FOUR

After a flashing light run to starts back where he attacked the line with power, WHATA ROLLER (3) was able to frank the performance with victory here last week. Pouncing on the lead and able to dictate to an effortless victory, he can fire out again here to rinse and repeat.

STORMTIDE (1) backs up from a midweek performance where he tackled a veteran’s event. Taking cover from this same gate, he was under 2m from the winner JAZZY STAR. That was his sharpest effort in some time and building off that, can look to challenge here.

AMAMI (5) produced a sectionally smart performance last start after easing from gate 7 to find position and then making ground wide out. With a stronger tempo here, look for him late.

CAPTAIN NEMO (8) was making some good metres in the closing stages last start to grab the bronze behind the firing WINDY HILL WALLY. Luckless the start prior, he will be probing.

SELECTIONS: WHATA ROLLER (3), STORMTIDE (1), AMAMI (5), CAPTAIN NEMO (8)
SUGGESTED BET: WHATA ROLLER (3) to win /  Exotics 1-3-5-8

RACE FIVE

A NR50-60 event restricted to QBRED performers where BETTING ORIGIN (5) might be the one that can overcome some mixed form in recent times. A tough effort when forced to park out from gate 7 two starts back, he was trying to see it out in front last time when 2m from the winner after being grabbed late. Limiting the early burn will be key.

DELE ROW (7) resumes from a spell after being shut down following the G1 2YO Triad Final last start. Two starts back he claimed a smart win from the front defeating subsequent Triad winner QUIK CHANGE and threw his chances away with an error after release. The gate stings fist up.

DATTITUDE (1) backs up from a Wednesday night victory at Redcliffe where he returned to winning form with a tough effort in slick time. From the gate he is right in the fight.

KING VANCE (8) is giving away some experience to his rivals but should tighten from his last run when resuming off a freshen. A winner at his first two career outings, he will be searching for gaps.

SELECTIONS: BETTING ORIGIN (5), DELE ROW (7), DATTITUDE (1), KING VANCE (8)
SUGGESTED BET: BETTING ORIGIN (5) to win

RACE SIX

Faced with the outside second line here last week, FLARE UP (4) found running line position before making a three-wide move over the closing stages. Descending on them to arrive in the closing strides to score a neck margin in a blanket finish, she can look to repeat.

CAPTAIN OF SPEED (8) secures the second line options as the one runner out the back and can plot her own passage. Grabbing the bronze two starts back behind SWEET MIRACLE, she tackled the open mares last start when under 9m from BRONSKI DELIGHT. She can challenge.

LADY DIGBY (2) claimed a mare’s qualifier two starts back when eased from gate 6 before powering home over the top. Strong to the line last time from gate 7, she is right in this.

BETTOR ROMANCE (5) has hit some good form in recent starts with a pair of wins and a 2nd from her past three. Finishing best up the passing lane last start, she can chime in off a tricky gate.

SELECTIONS: FLARE UP (4), CAPTAIN OF SPEED (8), LADY DIGBY (2), BETTOR ROMANCE (5)
SUGGESTED BET: FLARE UP (4) to win

RACE SEVEN

As the lone second line runner, HEY MISTER TAYLOR (8) has the options on staying on the poles or getting into the running line early. Trying to make ground in the latter stages last start when 7m from CLASS TO THE MAX, he held 3rd to MISTER REACTOR two starts back. This looks within reach.

HEAVEN ATTRACTS (1) chased home behind LOUTENANT last start when finishing at the rear which followed a tidy effort behind the in-form BANGKOK DEEJAY. Stripping fitter for those runs where he was resuming from a long break, he has the gate to throw it down here.

HIT THE TRACK (5) started from the second line last start and did not have the smoothest passage when finishing back in the pack. Placed both prior runs, he is in the mix in this.

ANGELIC SHE AINT (7) has no favours from the outside paint at her first Qld appearance but brings a last start Leeton victory to consider. In this line up, she is a podium hope.

SELECTIONS: HEY MISTER TAYLOR (8), HEAVEN ATTRACTS (1), HIT THE TRACK (5), ANGELIC SHE AINT (7)
SUGGESTED BET:

RACE EIGHT

As most of the races on this card appear, this mare’s contest looks a tricky one to dissect. By virtue of the ideal gate, LULU LUCIFER (1) might be ready to breakthrough for her first win at HQ after three placings in five attempts. 3m from FLARE UP last week when fav, she secures the chance to trail the speed and then burn them in the stretch.

SHEZA CRACKER (5) has been super consistent in recent times and was sent to the post as the fav last start from gate 4. Taking control, she was trying to fend them off but was collared in the last stride by the flying TACTFILLY MIRACLE. Dictating mid-week the start prior, she is in this.

VINDICATE (8) found the trail last start and was able to get a late gap to grab the bronze behind MURPHYS REWARD. A return to mare’s company with a soft trip looks ideal.

MISS EX (3) makes her first Qld appearance for Shannon Price, resuming off an eight-month break. Tackling some bigger Regional races at her recent starts, she may be in need of the run.

SELECTIONS: LULU LUCIFER (1), SHEZA CRACKER (5), VINDICATE (8), MISS EX (3)
SUGGESTED BET: LULU LUCIFER (1) to win
