Racing Queensland advises that the up-coming race meetings scheduled for Saturday, February 10 and Saturday, February 17 on the course proper at the Gold Coast Turf Club have now been transferred to the Polytrack.
Following last month’s Magic Millions Raceday, scheduled sand grooving has taken place on the course proper as part of the approved return to racing programme at Aquis Park.
The next GCTC meeting on the course proper will be held on Saturday, February 24.
The changes have necessitated amendments to some race distances on the respective programmes. They are:
Saturday, February 10
- Benchmark 58 Handicap was 2200m, is now 2000m;
- Class 5 Handicap remains at 1100m;
- Class 4 Handicap was 1800m, is now 1900m;
- Class 1 Handicap remains at 1200m;
- Ratings Band 0 – 58 Handicap was 1650m, is now 1540m;
- Maiden Handicap was 1800m, is now 1900m;
- Maiden Plate remains at 1200m; and
- 3YO Benchmark 65 Handicap was 1400m, is now 1540m.
Saturday, February 17
- Class 4 Handicap remains at 1200m;
- Class 2 Handicap was 1400m, is now 1540m;
- Benchmark 65 Handicap remains at 1200m;
- Class 1 Plate was 1650m, is now 1540m;
- Benchmark 58 Handicap remains at 1100m;
- Maiden Handicap was 1650m, is now 1540m;
- Maiden Handicap was 1000m, is now 1050m; and
- 2YO Handicap was 1000m, is now 1050m.
