RACE ONE

Completing four wins in succession last time out, BANGKOK DEEJAY (5) will be fresh up here after his last win on Feb 3. Settled rearward from a second line gate, he had the closing power to arrive and take a 7m margin. That race has produced six subsequent winners to frank the form.

RED RIGHT HAND (8) should relish a return to Band 5 company and just needs the gaps to arrive in time to throw down the challenge. Runner-up to SPEAK THE TRUTH last start, he was 5m from TARGARYEN the start prior.

THE TAX CULLECTOR (1) has placed at his past two starts and secures the right gate to chase the money again. Holding 3rd behind AARDIES FLASH last start, he has options to feature.

SCOTCH EN ICE (6) sat off a solid tempo here last week and when set free was able to reel them in and pull clear to claim a margin in a new PB. He can be joining in again.

SELECTIONS: BANGKOK DEEJAY (5), RED RIGHT HAND (8), THE TAX CULLECTOR (1), SCOTCH EN ICE (6)
SUGGESTED BET: BANGKOK DEEJAY (5) to win

RACE TWO

Needing some factors in his favour from this alley, ALWAYS SMOKIN (8) was able to capitalise here last week by taking them all the way in an effortless victory where he was never really asked to extend in the 2m victory. Following a slick beginner, he just needs the gap.

LEITHEN BURN (11) has been runner-up at his past two starts, the latest when eased from gate 5 before making a closing run to be within 3m of the winner ARGYLE. A beaten fav the start prior behind COMMODORE JUJON, the gate stings, but a cart into the contest will help.

JACCKA WALLY (1) made the most of conditions last start to charge across from gate 4 to take them all the way in a PB mile. The rise to the middle trip is a concern, but the gate is a big plus.

ALTA MAGACIAN (12) has placed at his past two starts, the latest when exposed early before finishing 3m from the winner ALWAYS SMOKIN. He will be running on over the latter stages.

SELECTIONS: ALWAYS SMOKIN (8), LEITHEN BURN (11), JACCKA WALLY (1), ALTA MAGACIAN (12)
SUGGESTED BET:

RACE THREE

WINDY HILL WALLY (1) has faced second line gates at his past four in succession, the latest when settled near the rear and unable to get warm over the closing stages. Only 4m from ROCTAGONAL two starts back, he snares all the options to capitalise.

BRONSKI DELIGHT (5) was beaten by gate 7 last start when snagged back for position. Still closing it out strongly to be under 5m from the winner HAY THERE JOE, it followed successive wins in open mare’s company. Back to this grade, she is a huge threat.

NURBURGRING (6) has been in nice order without securing a winning reward. A game effort for 3rd last start when parked, he can overcome an awkward gate.

ROCK SUPREME (3) was forced to work too hard last start and faded in the slick time as a result. With early hustle, he can look for the poles and can feature with a softer trip.

SELECTIONS: WINDY HILL WALLY (1), BRONSKI DELIGHT (5), NURBURGRING (6), ROCK SUPREME (3)
SUGGESTED BET:

RACE FOUR

Undefeated in both heats of this Series, DEFENSIVE GUY (14) has been super in both, with a win from the front and then a determined effort in the second round when parked out and then pulling clear to a 9m margin. Three from three since resuming, he can go again.

GUS (15) has made the final after being the beaten favourite in both his heats. Resuming form a spell in the first round when a 6m 3rd to DEFENSIVE GUY, an early error proved costly when 7m from HIDE AND SEEK. After two runs back form a spell, he can throw it down.

HAMMER SON (1) was the winner of this Series last year and will be tucked away with the soft trip. The distance will not be a concern and he can chime in when the gaps open.

ITSALLANDOVER (13) finished best in the first round to score, and the win made it three successive victories. Doing too much work in the second round, he can be joining in.

SELECTIONS: DEFENSIVE GUY (14), GUS (15), HAMMER SON (1), ITSALLANDOVER (13)
SUGGESTED BET: DEFENSIVE GUY (14) to win

RACE FIVE

Another NSW trained pacer to line up with Shane Graham taking the reins, EMMAS BOY (3) arriving a nine-time winner. Beaten a neck last start at Bathurst behind the handy SAINT VERAN, he has the early hustle to make a first up impression.

SURF ACE (10) looks to have worked his way back into some better form and last start was strong to the line over the closing stages and could have been closer with a smoother passage than the 4m margin. The gate stings but he can be swooping.

WESTERN ARTERRA (1) was charging home out of the pack here last week to run the winner to a nostril. With an improved gate, he can be thereabouts.

MISS MUCHO (6) overcame gate 7 to claim a similar conditioned event here three starts back and followed that with a half-head 2nd to BRONSKI DELIGHT. She is right in the fight.

SELECTIONS: EMMAS BOY (3), SURF ACE (10), WESTERN ARTERRA (1), MISS MUCHO (6)
SUGGESTED BET: EMMAS BOY (3) to win

RACE SIX

A return match-up looms here with the same big three in the market having clashed here four weeks back. It was TURN IT UP (7) that prevailed on that occasion, saved for the closing shot over the 2138 and arriving on the wire. He will charge hard to capitalise.

MANILA PLAYBOY (2) started favourite in that match up listed above when finishing in 3rd. Placed 3rd behind HOT AND TREACHEROUS at Menangle since that outing, he returns back to Qld and back to the mile here where he can be close enough to challenge.

DEUS EX (6) split TURN IT UP and MANILA PLAYBOY when forced to park out and doing all the work in the run when only a head away. Winning both starts since, he will be right in the fight.

NORTHVIEW HUSTLER (1) looks set to enjoy the perfect trip for his pattern, tucked in behind the speed and ready to take a shot at some minor money when the gap arrives.

SELECTIONS: TURN IT UP (7), MANILA PLAYBOY (2), DEUS EX (6), NORTHVIEW HUSTLER (1)
SUGGESTED BET: TURN IT UP (7) to win

RACE SEVEN

In super form through February to claim the Mare of the Month, VINDICATE (1) comes up with the prefect gate to continue the form into March. Out of the pack and rattling hard to score two back, she was strong to the line last start when 2m from BONNIES DANCE, with the gate a huge asset.

SAN MAREA (2) forced the issue last start from gate 6 and worked to the front and was able to see them off with a narrow victory over CLASSIC MIX UP. A winner three back in the mid-weeks when too slick in front, she can look to take control and throw it down.

FLARE UP (3) was a winner here three starts back from outside the second line when descending on them in the closing stages. 4m away last start, she can join in.

SERGIOS ROCKET (4) put together three successive placing before missing the money at her past two in much tougher company. Back to this mare’s B5 grade is a huge plus.

SELECTIONS: VINDICATE (1), SAN MAREA (2), FLARE UP (3), SERGIOS ROCKET (4)
SUGGESTED BET: VINDICATE (1) to win

RACE EIGHT

First up from a spell here two starts back, ALEXIA ROSE (3) was sent hard off the arm to take control and from the front was able to set the 1.53.2 tempo, only to be collared in the closing stages. The second line dented her hopes last start and back to the front is ideal.

CLASSIC MIX UP (8) was faced with the outside second line last start when making a wide run over the closing stages to run the winner SAN MAREA to a 2m margin. A beaten fav the start prior, she will need some luck to find the gap in time but is up to the task.

DIAMOND BIKINI (4) was taken to Redcliffe last start and made full use of the drop in grade to claim a 1m margin. With added fitness after spaced runs, she can feature.

EMPRESS BYELINE (2) has places at her past three starts, the latest when making a closing raid to be just a half-neck in arrears.

RACE NINE

Tackling the Inter Dominion at the end of last season, MR MCLAREN (8) found the opposition slightly too slippery, and his last appearance came in the third heat behind LEAP TO FAME. With a break, a trial and back to this grade, he can strike fresh.

BRAEDOS LAD (1) will be first up for the Butler stable after being left in Qld by Rickie Alchin following a last start fade out from a wide gate. That was in a race dictated by DEUS EX from the front and with a vastly improved gate, he can be challenge.

HAY THERE JOE (7) is afforded no favours from outside the front line as he goes in search of a hat-trick. Finishing over the top of them last week, he can be joining in.

SHEZ NOTORIOUS (2) will be presented with some early options and a chance to slide down to a three poles spot would give her chances of grabbing a podium finish a huge boost.

SELECTIONS: MR MCLAREN (8), BRAEDOS LAD (1), HAY THERE JOE (7), SHEZ NOTORIOUS (2)
SUGGESTED BET: MR MCLAREN (8) to win

RACE TEN

Starting from gate 5 in a small field of 3YO’s here last week, DELE ROW (10) loomed strongly in the stretch, ultimately grabbing 2nd as CHECKNOUTTHETALENT darted through on the passing lane to score. 3rd to FACT FINDER the start prior, he will need some factors to defy the gate.

MAYWYN TROUBADOR (1) eased from the arm last start from gate 3 and was able to find the 1x1 trail before making a late raid for the bronze when 2m from the passing lane winner FRANOC MACHO. With all the options from this alley, he can challenge.

JOEYS ON A ROLL (5) will be giving away some experience to his rivals here after claiming just his second career victory when leading throughout over the 2138 last start. A tricky gate dents his chances.

ONLYSBEST (8) should secure the ideal trip in behind the speed and be awaiting a gap. A last start Redcliffe winner when sent to the front, he will be probing for openings.

SELECTIONS: DELE ROW (10), MAYWYN TROUBADOR (10, JOEYS ON A ROLL (5), ONLYSBEST (8)
SUGGESTED BET: DELE ROW (10) to win
