RACE ONE

TAYLORS FOUR (1) has been runner-up at her past two starts, the latest when settled in the 1x1 trail over the 2040 trip. Making a move at the 500, she loomed strongly with only BRIAN CHRISTOPHER finishing better. Under 2m away two starts back, the gate gives her every chance.

ROCK HAMMER (9) is chasing a hat-trick of victories after successive wins over this track and trip. Drawn inside the second line last start, he found space to work off and power home to claim a 3m margin. The gate stings but there looks good front line tempo which helps.

BRIAN CHRISTOPHER (5) has been in nice touch this season, hitting the board in seven of his 11 starts which includes three wins. Strong to the line to arrive in time last start, he is in the mix.

SELECTIONS: TAYLORS FOUR (1), ROCK HAMMER (9), BRIAN CHRISTOPHER (5), MOTU CULLEN (7)
SUGGESTED BET:

RACE TWO

MISTER HART (1) tackled the AP mile three starts back when finding the front and then releasing and holding on for the bronze behind the in-form PYRRHIC DANCER. Starting from the second line at his past two starts, a return to the front line at the sprint is firmly in his favour.

EPIC ORION (3) was first up in Qld last start when rolling forward from gate 6 to sit parked over the middle trip at HQ. Fading after the tough trip ad DELE ROW proved too slick, a return to the tighter track from this gate can see him get forward to throw it down.

MAYWYN A JUG ORTWO (5) is in search of a hat-trick after successive wins at this trip. Eased from gate 5 last time, he had the closing power to descend on them and take a 3m margin.

DATTITUDE (9) started deep into the red last start from gate 5 and after sitting parked faded to finish near the rear. At his best he can take this, but there a few different versions of Dattitude.

SELECTIONS: MISTER HART (1), EPIC ORION (3), MAYWYN A JUG ORTWO (5), DATTITUDE (9)
SUGGESTED BET: MISTER HART (1) to win

RACE THREE

MONTEREY JACK (5) overcame the outside second line here three starts back when making a strong challenge wide off the tack to claim a 1m margin. Placed in both attempts since, he was just a head away last start, and this looks no harder.

TRALEE MAXIE (6) burrowed through from gate 1 to set the tempo last start and was able to grip on in the closing stages to take victory by a head. Collared late by SAINT JUJON two starts back, the wide gate makes this a tough ask to challenge.

MISS PAU (1) was a winner here two starts back at the middle trip when settling in the running line and finishing over the top of them. Not that far from them last start, the gate is a big help.

MALINJANG (3) has placed at her past two starts, the latest when trying to see them off and collared late by MAHINDI. Settling handy can see her feature once again.

SUGGESTED BET: BERTILS FIREFOX (3) to win

GHOST TRAIN (1) was sent to the post as fav last start from this same gate but was unable to fight them off when fading to finish midfield. He will be trying to hang on.

ANYONEWILLDO (5) was making her first Qld appearance here last week when sent out as the fav but after striking trouble in the run, finished midfield. She stays under notice.

SUGGESTED BET:

RACE SIX

SHACKOUTTHEBACK (4) was first up from a spell here last week when sent forward from gate 4 to sit parked. Despite the tough trip, she was able to pull clear over the closing stages in a slick last half, posting an 8m margin with a further 22m back to 3rd. In this line up she can rinse and repeat.

BREEZE ON BYE BYE (1) eased from gate 2 last start to secure position and soon was back in the pack and never a factor as TAMARAH claimed victory. With the chance to settle much closer and still gain a soft trip, she can be looking to challenge.

DARIN (2) is a newcomer to Qld having crossed the Tasman after a last start victory in the deep South of the South Island. He has the right gate to feature first up.

TEAM SPORT (7) started deep into the red last start and was asked to hang tough outside the leader when collared late and finishing 2nd. He will be searching for the gaps to chime in.

SELECTIONS: SHACKOUTTHEBACK (4), BREEZE ON BYE BYE (1), DARIN (2), TEAM SPORT (7)
SUGGESTED BET: SHACKOUTTHEBACK (4) to win

RACE SEVEN

TAMARAH (9) looks a talented filly and has hit the board in all four starts which includes two wins. Resuming from a spell last start, she was sent forward to sit parked and despite the tough trip was able to grind out a 4m margin. She can defy the second line.

PRETTY LITTLE LIAR (8) has been in the top-two at four of her six starts this season, which includes a pair of victories. Pressing on to take control here two starts back, she was able to see it out with a narrow victory. The second line makes it a tough ask.

ACHROMATIC (7) was asked to sit parked last start over the 2040 and despite the tough trip was only a head from the winner. She will be searching for gaps to chime in.

THREE ONE FOUR (4) has been placed at her past two starts, the latest when taking the trail but unable to eat into the margin. Settling handy, she can be thereabouts.

SELECTIONS: TAMARAH (9), PRETTY LITTLE LIAR (8), ACHROMATIC (7), THREE ONE FOUR (4)
SUGGESTED BET: TAMARAH (9) to win

RACE EIGHT

WHATA REACTOR (4) can run hot and cold but might find the right conditions here. Runner-up two starts back when chasing behind subsequent winner PERFECT FEELING, she was locked away from a second line gate last start. If the tap can turn to H, this is within reach.

MY ULTIMATE LOUIE (5) forced the issue two starts back when working forward from gate 4 to get handy and apply the pressure and come away with the victory. Hanging tough when just missing the money after a gritty performance last start, he can through it down here.

LORD DENZEL (2) held the pocket trail last start when holding on for the bronze behind MULLUM BOY. He can settle close enough to feature again.

LESVOS LAD (9) was a winner two starts back when working home best to claim a narrow victory. Beaten by gate 6 last start, he can chime in off the right trip.

SUGGESTED BET: WHATA REACTOR (4) to win

RACE NINE

SPORTS MODE (8) fired out from gate 1 and was looking to take them all the way when fading to finish rearward. Placed his previous two starts, this looks a much more suitable assignment despite the second line.

CREEDENCE (6) started from inside the second line last start and was well beaten as SHACKOUTTHEBACK ripped home a strong closing half. Unplaced in five career starts, this is an open maiden.

PINKCHAMPAGNE (1) is a 2YO filly on debut against the older horses for Gail Geeson. A half-sister to 10 individual winners, she has trialled in nice order for her first appearance.

MELTON SCHLEGER (5) was sent forward in the early stages last start and asked to sit parked when just missing the minors. The wide gate makes it a tough ask.

SELECTIONS: SPORTS MODE (8), CREEDENCE (6), PINKCHAMPAGNE (1), MELTON SCLEGER (5)
SUGGESTED BET: SPORTS MODE (8) to win

RACE TEN
