Racing Queensland advises that the race meeting scheduled for Cairns Jockey Club Tuesday, April 16 has been postponed to Monday, April 22.
The postponement follows an additional 122mm of rain since 9am yesterday morning, and a total of 140mm of rain for the past seven days.
The program will consist of:
- Open Handicap, 1400 metres;
- Class 6 Plate (Set Weights), 950 metres;
- Benchmark 65 Handicap, 1250 metres;
- Benchmark 58 Handicap, 1400 metres;
- Ratings Band 0–55 Handicap, 950 metres;
- QTIS Maiden Handicap, 1400 metres;
- Maiden Handicap, 950 metres; and
- 3YO Handicap, 950 metres.
New nominations for this meetings have been called with the following deadlines:
- Nominations: close Wednesday, April 17 at 11am
- Acceptances: close Thursday, April 18 at 10am
- Jockeys: Thursday, April 18 at 12 noon
